The frosting on the lemon cupcake was intensely lemony, and the chocolate frosting was rich and smooth. I and the other non-vegans at the party couldn't tell that they were vegan, and our host was delighted to know that there is a bakery nearby that caters to her needs. Anyone who has spent time at the Widener Library knows that you have to wrap up before 10 p.m. to get a late night fix of sugar at Mike's (how many bakeries stay open that late, I ask you?) Each time I go the bakery is filled with local neighbors getting their morning coffee and pastry. Not much seating available but a nice opportunity to stand and chat with neighbors. I have only had the cupcakes here for birthdays and gifting, which are simple but great. Pricing is fair and even more affordable than some brands in grocery stores (with Quebrada's being much tastier). The display cases are filled with tons of other pastry options that I will have to try one day.

Of the three, the apple was my favorite which actually surprised me. The blueberry was OK, not as sweet as I would have liked - opposite of the banana cream.
