He just wanted it shorter around the ear- how could that be misunderstood??? It was a true emergency, because there was no way I would let my child go through the humiliation of going to school the next day like that. It was really THAT bad! I started dialing and hoping some kind person would understand and help us, but who would ever take someone after 8pm, and that was IF we could get someone to answer our call at 7:50pm. That is when i called Like salon, and this angel named Tracy answered and listened to our situation. It takes a very kind person to decide to help total strangers who were asking her to stay past closing time and take a brand new client, and that is the person Tracy is. We've all had a bad haircut at least once in our lives, but this was far worse, and it would take a very experienced person to somehow salvage what was left of my child's hair, and cut it into something that looked at least like a normal haircut. We knew it would mean having to cut all the gorgeous locks off that took over a year to grow, but seriously, there was no other way. Still, Tracy was able to transform a nightmare into a dream, and while the long hair was gone, the end result was a very smart style that will grow out well. It is quite attractive, and while my child was still inconsolable over losing all that hair, what a life saver Tracy was, and I can only imagine how gorgeous my child's hair will be as we continue to see her to shape it while it grows out again. So heart warming to find a kind, empathetic human being l, and what incredible luck we had in finding her. Thank you Tracy!

Then, the appeal starts to fade. I start fussing with my hair in the mirror or in the Zoom window. Miguel has been my barber for over two years, and he is the first one who has given me the confidence that my hair always looks good. I have none of the anxiety of sitting in the chair I typically have, and it's easy 30 minutes of cutting and conversation. I imagine his clientele are mostly long time customers and I being an unknown client was a rarity. That's how good he is ! If you want an expert, excellent efficient color or cut appointment jack is the designer for you. Note: Right now there is no coffee, wine , champagne ,tea or drink service at the salon. I imagine that it's due to the pandemic and following guidelines. Most high end salons I visited before the pandemic offer this service. Usually a salon also calls to confirm an appointment. But without a receptionist ( also probably due to the pandemic) there wasn't anyone to remind clients of appointments and to welcome them with any instructions and serve clients. I imagine these services will resume after covid is more under control. Covid has changed so much for service oriented businesses. The last note is that this root touch up and highlights for just the top of my head to mask the grey cost more than I have ever spent on this exact service. I love how she cut my hair and she really was patient to make my bangs just the right length for me as I kept changing my mind to cut them shorter. I love how she cared about what I was comfortable with and didn't do anything before I approved it was ok! She's very sweet and talented. I had found out about her through a friend who also had a beautiful haircut from her. My friend got a different length haorcut but still got layers like I wantsd and it looked fantastic!
