Went to this place for a few years with my mom only to see it go straight down hill and crash!! Stay away!! The first time you go they put on a good show for you but don't expect it to last. The staff and crew are very rude and unfriendly. The prices are way out of line. Be very careful with the pricing if you do go here. Make sure you ask how much everything is before anything is done. They do have one or two good operators that are very good but you have to ask yourself if it's really worth it, and it's not in my opinion after going for three years. Will never go back! Got a stylist who really didn't know what she was doing. My color wasn't what I had asked for. Should have been fixed after letting them know i wasn't happy. I was a first time customer. Unfortunately the owner Debra didn't handle the situation the way she should have. They should have just fixed with no problem instead I got a 20 min discussion with the owner on the phone going over every little thing and detail of my time with the stylist. If she would have said just come in and we will be glad to fix all would have been fine! Do not go use Sami she needs more training in color and cut. read more

I made an appointment with Micheal the owner. Explaining to the rude attitude ridden receptionist that I had difficult hair to cut. She was less then friendly and obviously didn't listen to anything I said. I showed up for my appointment. Miss rude told me he wasn't in today and Amanda would cut my hair. I explained I was here to see Micheal and she said you can come back. I declined and left. I called upon arriving home to ask for the woman's name. So I could call the owner and complain. The other girl played stupid or is I'm not sure. I don't know who. I was just there five minutes ago. There's only two of you upfront. I was told the owner would know who it is. I asked for her name and was told I'm not comfortable giving to you. What MORONS How do you stay in business a second rate shop apparently with a big chip on their shoulders. I absolutely love Michael angelo's! I've been getting my hair cut by them for almost two years and I've never been able to go anywhere else since. The atmosphere alone is amazing- the place is very clean, everyone who works there is extremely friendly and refreshments such as coffee and water are always offered. The owner himself, Michael Angelo, is always there and his precious little puppy walks around with him. I always get a balayage which is highlights but hand painted for a more natural look. The woman I always request is Maria- she is a color specialist and always does a beautiful job. I would definitely recommend going to her! Left with an embarrassing hair color. After bringing pictures of my quite easy , natural plain golden brown color, I left looking like Ronald McDonald... Only I didn't know because they didn't even blow dry it! I stressed repeatedly all I wanted was a natural color. I promise, no one spouts hair in the color I now have. It is also about 4 shades darker than the pictures I brought of my natural color and than the swatches I picked out. I came in as a blonde! I am now stuck with this embarrassing color and in tears as I don't want to damage my hair even more to lighten it and try to get a normal looking color. read more

Dani is the best stylist I've ever been to! I found Dani / the Michael Angelo Salon in Covid while I was in Florida for a few months, and now I come back from NYC just to get my hair done by Dani - she's that good! I'm very particular about who does my hair as it's very thick and hard to manage. The color can also be tough to get just right. Dani listens to exactly what you want and delivers. My hair looks so good. She really cares about her clients and makes it so easy to stay in contact with her if you have questions about your hair, hair routine, etc. Truly my hair looks the BEST when done by Dani! I was thrilled to see a salon that used levels of experience for their stylists. I did not mind paying $93.00 for a hair cut for a level 7 ( that should mean she has more knowledge of different styles.) After I made my appointment I called back to make sure she would know how to cut a stacked bob, they assured me there was no problem. I brought a picture to assure we were on the same page (also let her know my problem spots with my head shape. I was hoping that at that level and 20 years working behind the chair Diana would give me the great haircut that they advertise. She worked hard at it used flat iron, checked and double checked and yet when I went home ONE SIDE WAS NOT LAYERED THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. I called the next day the owner Michael re-cut (OR PLAYED AND MADE BELIEVE HE MADE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE STYLE) . I was very disappointed with the whole experience, the owner did not acknowledge her mistake and made it worse by not really fixing the problem. Neither person knew how to cut a true Staked bob. So thankful I found this salon. Everyone was so service oriented. I had a bad experience on Friday at different salon. I was dark brown when I didn't want to be. I explained my dilemma to my stylist Victoria. She heard my needs and listened intently to address them. The finished product was absolutely exactly what I wanted. She gave me instruction for up keep and a my next steps for more treatments. She also gave me some sample products too. Had a trim in December that went well, so I went back for a real cut. I showed my stylist pictures of what I wanted and asked her to let me know if what I was showing her was not realistic for my hair. She assured me it was and now I have a cut that is at best "bleh." I had recently had my hair cut by my normal stylist and wanted to clean up the bottom layer that hung from beneath. I had a gift certificate to Michael Angelo and figured it cant be too hard to cut 3/4 inch off the bottom. No layering, no new style. She started chopping and said she just wanted to"blend the layers". Now, my hair has big chunks cut so deep that it looks like there are holes. The front is 2 inches shorter than the rest and one side is longer. It looks like a child cut it. Every time I look in the mirror I regret thinking someone could just cut a simple straight line. Now I have to wait to let it grow several inches before anyone can fix it. I do not recommend the stylist SAMI, or the salon in general. There is no excuse for incompetent stylists who don't even listen to their clients. Update: it has been a month and I can still see chop marks and have to spend extra time styling every day to cover it up. read more

The last time the stylist excused herself twice, left me sitting in chair for at least 20 minutes u attended, only to never return. Michael offered free haircut then ended up charging me. This time when they called an hour before appointment to say, once again, stylist was sick, this I cancelled. Receptionist offered to have Michael call me, he did and proceeded to yell at me accusing me that all I wanted was to have a "b. tch session " , when in truth all I wanted was to make him aware of how many times this has happened but he neither cared to listen or cared at all. I was with Christina and she was fabulous. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly what I asked. She's a perfectionist and I can't wait to go back and get my hair colored!
