Photography was, by far, one of the most important parts of our wedding to me. I was really impressed with Michael's photojournalistic style and his photography overall. Michael took my bridal portraits as well as photographed our wedding in Covington. The final photos are incredibly impressive, even my friends who are photographers were completely blown away. I especially appreciated the non-posed photos, this is where Michael truly shines. From catching the exact moment my now-husband reacted to seeing me for the first time, to capturing me and two of my cousins in mid-air during the wobble dance, his work is amazing. My favorite photo of the whole wedding is a spontaneous shot he captured of my husband and I laughing together. I also found Michael to be incredibly communicative and patient during the whole process. He responded to all of my emails and calls in a very timely manner, was patient to the extreme when timelines changed, and was willing to try some more non-traditional shots. Words can't explain how happy we are that we chose Michael Caswell Photography for our destination wedding in New Orleans. From the beginning, Michael was very prompt and thorough. My wedding was scheduled for April 2020 but postponed to October due to the pandemic. We did not think this wedding would take place this year however, it did. Two months before the wedding, we had to find another venue to host the reception due to COVID restrictions. Not knowing what to do, I reached out to Michael, and he immediately gave us a list of recommendations. Michael also kept us informed about the opening phases for the City of New Orleans and surrounding areas. Michael was very accommodating with all the changes made due to the pandemic. Seeming that everything was on track for the big day, Hurricane Delta decided to hit Louisiana the same weekend of my big day! The wedding ceremony was to be outdoors at Le Musée de f.p.c courtyard and a backyard reception on Lake Pontchartrain. As you can imagine, I was nervous about the weather. Michael reassured that everything would be okay and was ready to accommodate any further changes. Luckily the weather was perfect on my big day! Being that we had two venues, Michael was with us all day. He felt like a part of the family. He captured so many beautiful moments from the wedding and reception. My photos at the museum looked very regal and elegant. The sunset photos on the lake were amazing. We even did a day after photo shoot the next morning in the French Quarter and those photos were also great. His versatility and style are exceptional! We were awed by how beautiful our photos looked. Michael's style of photography tells a picturesque story and my photos are evidence of just that. He truly knows how to capture every moment regardless of how big or small. My photos vividly take you back to the exact moment during that day. We also received our pictures quickly in a few weeks. Planning a wedding from 300+ miles away is never easy. Luckily I had a great planner who gave me all the top choices for every vendor I needed. I was given 4 options for a photographer and after looking through each website, there were no questions of who I wanted to photograph my biggest day! I would HIGHLY recommend your choosing Michael Caswell Photography! My husband and I got married at St. Mary's (Ursuline Convent) and had our reception at the Roosevelt (Blue Room) in December 2019. Michael did a truly incredible job when it came to photographing our wedding. The quality of the photos was amazing - even the ones at night and in the dark venue - but beyond this he captured the various moments of our wedding day in such a beautiful way. The traditional shots of the bride/groom and wedding party were perfect - not too stuffy but still beautiful portraits! We love these, but my husband and I dearly cherish the pictures of the small moments throughout the day. I actually was so sure that I wanted him to photograph my wedding very early on as I had gone through multiple albums and this one album just stood out to me.
