I called on a…read moreFriday to cancel a Monday appointment and because they DO NOT PICK UP THEIR MESSAGES, they charged me for canceling my appointment as though I had called too late for them to "fill my slot," as they put it. It was clear from speaking with their office manager that they don't care about patients but only about filling "slots" to get money. They don't work on Fridays, so they counted my call to them as late. They have the option of picking up messages on Fridays but they don't. If they cared about patients, they would have compassionate office practices. Most of their reviews tetify that in instance after instance, they just don't care about their patients. I do not consider them a welcome addition to Tallahassee.

There was only a few minute wait in the room but I could hear the physicians talking to other patients about their care. It is an older place so I am sure there isn't much insulation in there. No big deal. Robyn finally came in the room. She barely said a word to me other then to sit on the table. She felt my neck and then said "I don't even know why you're here, you are on medication. Stick with that, there is no need for you to come back." So I left. Fast forward to 2023 and my health has rapidly declined. I had tried to get in with other Endocrinologists but between time, insurance, and work it never worked out. I saw my ENT and he insisted my thyroid needs to removed and told me I have to get in with an endo to see what my next steps are. I figured let me give them another chance but with me seeing a different physician. Lateshia completely understood and was so nice in helping me get in with someone else. I am now seeing Sharon and I am very happy with her. I have only been back once, but I go back in 3 weeks, and she said she will have a full game plan for me at that time. This would have been a 1 star (if I could go negative I would) but after Lateshia's help and seeing Sharon it has now moved to 3 stars. I'm not sure I would recommend this office, but I am pleased with the help I am receiving now.

Dr. Joshua Nichols explained a couple of procedures that we could pursue and answered every question I had without making me feel foolish for asking them. He has a very calming demeanor about him. Severe and debilitating pain is not "normal." There are practitioners at this clinic who will behave in a very huffy manner towards you if you decline to take medications that you have already tried and found unsuccessful in the past. They are unwilling to work with you to find new solutions. I feel that some of the practitioners at this clinic lack empathy, or perhaps the expertise to properly diagnose and treat patients who experience recurring and severe pain. If you felt dismissed by practitioners at this clinic, please don't feel discouraged-- you deserve proper care and consideration. There are doctors out there who will listen to you. I know in the future I will be seeking treatment with providers who truly put forth the effort to understand my symptoms, and I hope anyone who has had a similar experience with Elite Women's Health will do the same. Being gun-shy, it took a while to trust him, but he has proven to be an absolute gem. He listens to his patients (both I and my mate see him) -takes your concerns into consideration, does not treat you as if you are a body part or an idiot, and makes you part of the treatment team. He is calm and has a good sense of humor and a great bedside manner. He is good about offering options for treatment up front, and he shows his concern for his patients. I have never had a problem getting an appointment right away if I am acutely ill. Staff are very helpful. The medical assistant staff are wonderful to deal with and are very compassionate.

I advised insurance would give them $50 or $60 plus my $40 clay if they are lucky. I asked for a negotiated rate and the lady said they do t negotiate with cash pay. Tallahasse Podiatry was $250-$320, no more. If you are cash pay do not go. Also, check every item the doctors check and make sure it was performed on the bill if you have insurance. This is not a rating for their performance but for integrity and billing practices.

I got no improvement. My 2nd appt was May 18th. He then said let's do a mri so that we can get a better idea of what is going on with the foot. I asked that it be done at Radiology & Assoc. I didn't hear from Makala who does the referrals. I called again. I asked to speak to the Dr. she said he don't talk to patients and I wasn't the only patient he had. I then got a call from a mri company I didn't know. I called Makala on May 29th she said I will call you back. no call from her. June 1st Radiology Assoc had appt June 3rd. I heard nothing from Dr's office so I made appt for July 10th. Dr reviewed the mri and suggested Radiation Therapy due to the lump being on top of a nerve. I've called the office July 20th, & 23rd. I still do not have a referral for Radiation Therapy as of today July 28th. What will it take to get the Referral????
