My experience with Michael Hillman has exceeded my expectations! I always think I'm going to get ripped off when dealing with insurance agents, but in the years I've been dealing with Michael, he's demonstrated nothing but honesty and integrity. I can't express enough how important it is to me to have a relationship with an agent where he consistently looks after my family, and chooses to do the right thing over and over again in situations where others wouldn't. I almost never post reviews, but in this age of deteriorating expectations and service, i wanted to make sure to give credit where credit is due. If this changes at all, I'll be the first to slam him, so Michael- keep it up! read more

I am VERY DISSATISFIED with my service at this State Farm. I know people who love State Farm and have been loyal customers for years. Well, I might not be one of them..... I was given a 6 month premium for a reasonable price of $862 for the auto coverage I wanted in October 2021. In February 2022, I bundled renters' insurance with my auto insurance. However, after those 6 months of my initial auto insurance policy renewed, my bill skyrocketed. Instead of paying around $150 a month, I was charged a whopping $456 and around $360 per month after that!!!!! I did not change anything with my account before the policy auto renewed, and I didn't receive any notification that my account or any information had changed. When I called an agent, they said this increase in price must be because of my student discount being removed since I was no longer a student (I was given a student discount in the beginning even though I wasn't a student to begin with...). However, removal of the student discount should only be a max of 20% off the total price, which would be reasonable, and that was specified on the line item of the bill. Removal of the student discount does not account for the over 120% increase that was added onto my monthly bill with no explanation. My auto renewal premium was supposed to be $862 for that time period. The next auto renewal which has not yet gone into effect states over $2000 because......get this..... they added on my entire family (my 2 younger brothers who naturally cost more than a young woman and my two parents) onto my policy without my consent. I WAS NOT notified of this change. However, I suspect that I was already being charged for insurance for my whole family on my car even though I am the only driver of it. When I called them last, they said that my account was screwed up by an employee who no longer works there and there was a slim chance that I would receive the money I was charged because of the mistake or dishonest actions of that employee. I was quoted a premium of $515 and then when I called back to add the vehicle, I was told the premium was going to be $787. I questioned the difference and was told the first quote was based on a swap since I would be removing the current vehicle. I was told that I would be refunded the difference. Well, that's where it took a different turn. I was told by two employees on three different occasions that I would be getting the difference back, however, one of them told me it would be credited back to the card I used, and then the other told me the company would either issue me a credit on the next billing period in Dec 2020 or they may issue a check. (3 different answers to the same question???). I never got a refund so I called back and had yet another employee research and was informed that I would only be getting a refund of $9.00, yep, $9.00. She apologized for the other two employees making the mistake-----not good enough. I informed her I would take my business elsewhere. You would think a problem like this would grab the attention of Mr. Hillman but no word from him. I have sent two emails to him asking for my three policies to be forwarded to another agency but I have not received any response, nor has the new agency. I called for him this morning, was put on hold for a moment, and then was told he was working from home today and that he would call me tomorrow. I asked "why tomorrow"? If he is working from home, why can't he call me today---no response. You should be able to trust your agent and get great service, but don't expect such from the Michael Hillman Agency. read more

I have been trying to get insurance on a Class B (Van conversion) RV since October 2016. I have called, emailed, received a binder, given my credit card info on numerous occasions and still no insurance. How did I know there was no insurance - I received a letter and a fine from the State of Georgia!! I am one UNHAPPY customer. My agent had a lot of trouble with the software which didn't instill confidence in her. I had to give her my credit card number twice, when questioned about this she claimed to have never taken down my number before. POOR office. I have never spoken to Michael Hillman, only the office people he has. They give multiple prices for my policy as well as use incorrect information I did not give them. Cancelling my policy and saving over $100 a month by simply going to the only other place I've been quoted. I don't recommend. read more
