The owner/instructor Lisa is wonderful, supportive, knowledgeable and really creates a great environment where you feel you can really play. She's great. Also SOPA has a fantastic group of artists that are members -- all incredibly talented. They have shows often and, I think, have open studio on Thursdays -- that coincide with the Farmer's Market on Thursdays. Anyway, worth checking out!!

I'm a huge Coraline fan, so when I found out this gallery was hosting a Coraline exhibit, I knew I…read morehad to check it out! My niece is a huge fan too, so I took her with me. We arrived right when they opened at noon, and admission was $15. The exhibit runs through June 17th. We practically had the whole gallery to ourselves, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There were so many amazing pieces of Coraline inspired artwork, and the entire gallery was decorated super cool. One of the rooms was designed similar to a scene from the movie, which was such a cool touch! Outside, they also had props and characters like Wybie and Mr. Bobinsky that made it for more picture perfect. We had such a wonderful time visiting this exhibit and would definitely recommend it to any Coraline fan!

If you're a student or have EBT you can access this museum for free. Parking is free as well. You reserve your tickets online & just present your proof of ID for student or EBT. There are 2 floors to this museum & an outdoor garden as well. A mix of European art , modern pieces , sculptures , & Southeast asian art as well. I was here for a good 2 hours for my last visit since I was taking it all in. Once done, I love to grab some kettle chips & a signature drink from their cafe by the garden. I sit & journal for a bit then walk around the gardens. The small souvenir store is delightful in where you can purchase small or large prints of your favorite pieces. Books , trinkets, & museum merchandise is also available. I will come back for their next exhibit to see what other pieces will be displayed.

Very beautiful space…read more I came here for a small "UNPLUGGED" wedding ceremony. This place reminded me of my favorite childhood movie called The Secret Garden. A beautiful atmosphere that holds wonder, power, and magic. I felt special even though this day wasn't for me. Inside one of the rooms displayed beautiful art work from a man who happened to be there overseeing everything go down at the event. He is kind and tells good jokes about his art work and in general. The two ladies who own this place came by earlier and indeed are nice and friendly. Now that I know of this place maybe I, two will hold something magnificent in this small gem that is surrounded by a bustling city,

This place is amazing but really small…read more I love that they have little workshops. I was here for a paint with flowers//tea. We used hibiscus, tumeric and butterfly pea flower. My work wasnt good but other had the most beautiful paintings. I dont know how they made such small lines when mines came out as blobs. Cyanotype Workshop is also really fun. It was creative, engaging, and fun to walk through. The space itself is on the smaller side, so you can take in the entire exhibit in about thirty minutes. I absolutely love the energy of this place; it's a barn that's been repurposed and stuffed full of the strangest, eeriest pieces of art possible. It's not as large as a big gallery, but there's so much here to look at. If I lived closer, I'd keep an eye out and see if they have any other openings scheduled. It's definitely worth your time to plan a short trip.
