I did multiple tours overseas for the United States military which I have had so many reconstructive surgeries and also a work related incident that I fell over 30 feet and had to have yet another surgery I received a dismissal letter when I returned from out of state for work stating he's not going to help me and I am not a patient anymore I did not receive a phone call. I did not receive any type of text no email no verbal warning no written warning no counseling nothing I notified his office of my absence for work due to the severe weather like tornadoes, flooding that we had in the months of march and April I even spoke with him in person when I saw him at my last appointment passing in the hallway and lamborn replied, just notify the office and you will be fine I have spoke with other patients in the waiting room and they have missed upwards of 5 to 6 random drug appointments and still are patience I have talked to people that have failed multiple drug tests and still are patient He is still treating. I have not failed a drug test or had any illegal substance in my system. He also falsely accuse me of running out of medicine early on the notice I received when I had to have oral surgery and he increased my dosage which In turn makes you run out sooner He clearly does not care about his patience. He clearly has no empathy no respect and breaks his own policy whenever it suits him I received a phone call from Nathan manager Ashley stating that they did reach out to me Via text and left me a voicemail which I never received due to the area I was in a tornado went through powerlines were down and cell towers were down For some reason, they cannot fathom this I always thought that doctors And nurses were patient advocates and actually had an understanding when their patient was helping the community Recover from such a tragic event Also speaking with Ashley the manager, she stated verbally that I was dismissed for failing a urine screen test Which I received a dismissal letter stating otherwise. So, it appears that she lied in order to cover their mistake. It sounds like to me The Office is Playing favorites and picking and choosing Who stays and who goes I have never been so disrespected in my life and treated like trash These are supposed to be the People that are helping me. He diagnosed the problem, told me that due to the severity the only option was surgery, and finished with the successful pain relieving surgery. Fast forward, I'm not sure how many years since that surgery and no pain but several months ago I wondered if it was coming back. In this modern era I researched on the internet and found carpal tunnel syndrome can reoccur. I convinced myself this was the problem and finally got around to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Blackburn. Today I went for that appointment and was once again impressed with Dr. Blackburn's professionalism, his examination , the x-rays to confirm his diagnosis, and the treatment. Great news it was not carpal tunnel, did not need surgery, and was treated with the fitting of a hard wrist brace. I'll go for a recheck in 6 weeks but I can tell there was Instant relief from the pain the minute the wrist brace was fitted. Thanks again Dr. Blackburn! You are Woohoo, as good as it gets.

Plexiglass barriers at the check in/out desks. Rooms have been stripped down to the minimum. Patients only, family and friends have to wait in the car. Everything is very clean and well maintained. For the waiting area: just remove the excess chairs and space out the rest of them; there's no need to keep all the chairs set up - this has been going on for a while - and stackable chairs can just be kept in a corner. I hate to say it, but the COVID restrictions make things better for the patients. No waiting for long periods of time because there were too many people scheduled and the doctor is behind. No crowded waiting rooms. You get in, get your tests/exams and get out. I could get used to this. Lots of parking, and there are restaurants and lots of stores close by if you are the driver and need to waste some time while waiting.

I am in constant significant back pain with a herniated disc, and I was referred to Dr. Vermuri to get an epidural injection ASAP. Meeting with Dr. Vermuri went fine and he said to schedule an epidural with his staff. I was told by his staff when checking out that I would hear back from the scheduling person within one to two days. After three days I called to find out when my epidural was scheduled for since I had not heard anything. I was told by someone named Amy that it is typically a week or more before an appointment can even be scheduled, and that they were currently running three weeks out AFTER you were scheduled. When I asked why in the world it takes a week to even get a procedure scheduled, I was told "the only person that schedules epidurals is Heidi, and she can take a week or more to schedule a procedure since she multitasks like the rest of us and has many other duties beside scheduling." So, I am in constant stabbing pain and at the mercy of a single multitasking "when she can get around to it" scheduler to even get on the books. That is one star. Appalling.

It does not objectively reflect my attempt to fully understand my diagnosis and proposed plan of care. This consultation was counter productive to developing a plan of care. I would never recommend him to anyone.
