I'll lead with I can say to much about Dr. Beney himself, I don't recall ever meeting him. That…read moresaid, I usually deal with Chris Pease and he is awesome. From general health, to age related questions as I get older, a little dabbling in some short term depression, and so much more; Chris has been great to work with over the last... maybe 10 years? He's approachable, knowledgeable, willing to get you in and out if you are in a rush, or sit for 30 extra minutes if you have some real concerns or things you need to understand better. The front of house is nice too. All in all, I continue to come because of Chris, although he is a PA, my interactions with him have been better than any doctors I have worked with in the past. Also, I have always been seen in a reasonable amount of time. Both in scheduling and upon arrival to the office. Would recommend.

I was searching for a primary care physician a few years ago. The first six I called in Erie County…read morewere not taking new patients, and I was getting frustrated. That's when my friend Laura told me about her doctor, and said he was accepting new patients. I would have taken anyone at that point, honestly. But she raved about him, and I gladly filled out the paperwork and waited for my first appointment. Admittedly, it took them a while to get me in for my physical. The physical is the necessary first appointment before seeing the doctor for anything else. Now I can get appointments the same day, when necessary. Usually I can get in within a few days. Dr Beney himself is very personable and listens very well to what you say. I have never felt rushed when I've been in to see him. He specializes in pediatric and internal medicine. I love how sometimes I am put in a room with an exam table that looks like a school bus or fire truck. Usually I request to see one of Dr Beney's PA's. Chad is my favorite. He's the one I go to for my annual physical, asthma questions, and anything else that is non-emergency. For the more urgent needs, I'll see whoever can take me first. The staff is really friendly. They've always been extremely helpful, too, whether in person or on the phone. One of the great things about this office if you have kids is that they have this really cool game in the lobby. It reminds me of the movie Big with Tom Hanks. Remember that scene where he's at the massive toy store and plays piano by jumping on the keys? Well this is the same concept, only it's not a piano. Using a separate machine, kids start a game that illuminates the floor. They have to jump into squares or grids. I don't think I've ever watched a kid play long enough to understand the goal, but the kids all seem to know instinctively how to play it. Dr Beney is currently accepting new patients, and although he's in Lockport, it's still a fairly short drive for me from East Amherst. Tip: His last name is pronounced like 'Beanie.'

A long-time, trusted friend of mine referred me to Dr. Beney several years ago. She had been seeing…read morehim since her kids were little (he practices pediatrics and internal medicine). She had nothing but wonderful things to say about him, and shared with me an anecdote that one time she called the after-hours emergency line and he actually answered it himself. She couldn't say enough wonderful things about how much he truly cares for his patients. My first visit with Dr. Beney was for a physical - several years ago, now. I could tell right away I was going to like him. He wasn't available once when I had a sick visit, so his PA Chad saw me. Chad is just as caring as Dr Beney, and has the best sense of humor and bedside manner. He truly makes me feel like he listens to me and hears my concerns. I always make my appointments with him now. I've had a lot of experience feeling shuffled in and out of docror appointments in the past. Doctors are in short supply & patients are not. Because of that, doctors today cannot devote the same time with patients that doctors 50 years ago could. That said, not one time in all the years I've been a patient at this practice have I ever felt rushed. I've been seen for my annual physicals and illnesses ranging from asthma to pneumonia, and general sick visits. Every time I hear anyone request a referral to a new doctor, I do not hesitate to recommend Dr Beney's office.

I switched practices a year ago and couldn't be happier I did. The wait was always way too long,…read moreover an hour even with a scheduled appointment. Definitely more but without getting too personal, I don't think the np had his patients best interests at heart.

I only go here on Special Acacians, which is why it's called Acacia Health. It's up in Lockport,…read moreit's a little hard to find, on Davison, not far from the amazing Village Eatery... and if you eat there too often, you will find yourself at Acacia too often, too (Italian American food is so unhealthy!). Personal experience: This is my current regular doctor. I come here probably once a month. I don't really use the doctor, but I go with my friend (who found this place), and then we generally see the Doc - Ostolski - together. I get advice, she gets prescriptions. I'm lowering the place to a 4 just because the clientele that waits in here are often a little shady. I had to defuse a fight in here recently because a drug addict had come to get a fix. The people working behind the window are not always the most helpful or astute. However I still think the Doc Ostolski himself is an angel and if I review him specifically, which I will, he'll score a 5. The other doc, Scarpelli, I have seen him too a few times and he scores a 3 or 4. He's pretty good. Ostolski though is one of the nicest and most considerate Docs in Doc history. If you're looking for a super-friendly place to find a new doctor, it's Ostolski... this is the place I would suggest. Much friendlier than most of the doctors I have ever seen in the area. The other great one in town is Gumberts on Sheridan in Amherst.
