I met with Benson, a very nice and caring person, and explained how the procedure would go. I went once a week for six weeks. Then I had to travel, so I was away also; I had used up what insurance would cover. He made some good suggestions which I implemented, but probably the best thing I did was the week-long vacation that I stayed off it. It still bothers me from time to time, but I have ways of making it work. The place they have their services in is a one-hundred-year-old building, which is charming but has uneven floors if that is a concern of yours. Also, I tried to never use the restroom facilities there, as the sink was lined with dirt and the toilet wasn't much better. They have a lot of people still masking (which is fine; I totally understand that), but they apparently aren't concerned with the dirt you can see. One oddity I observed was that the needles were put in my hand, but as I was lying on the table, Benson would use my stomach as a place to hold his supplies until he needed them. Do you know how awkward it is to have someone grab things off of your stomach to use in a procedure? I probably should have said something, but I thought it was a one-off until it happened again. So, the procedures themselves were good but probably need to fine-tune a few things.

I was still left with fairly constant pain, even though my recovery was one of the best my hand surgeon had seen. There were adhesions in the scar that eventually caused the constant pain to spread up my arm and into my left shoulder. After seeing Bryce, I feel like I have my life back. The pain was chronic and there was just nothing that helped before seeing Bryce. I'd truly lost hope I'd ever have a day where I didn't ache.
