I needed so much medical support from my doctors but I wasn't improving, so I turned to Dr Li hoping she could do something. I have had bad acupuncture treatments that made me worse, so I am extremely careful. It was obvious on the first visit she was highly qualified. Actually I knew the acupuncture was spot on, but she told me so much about my symptoms after checking my pulse and tongue I really didn't think she would help w the herbal formulas. I was wrong. I couldn't walk unaided on the first visit inside the clinic (Appts on Saturday in Salem). I'm already thinking it might be time to start my daily exercise program now. Love eucalyptus, he let me know he's getting a diffuser soon, but for now he incorporated the essential oil into the treatment. After I sat down, he took my pulse and asked a few questions to clarify my responses on the intake form. And inquired any areas of concern I had, I said 'hormonal acne, left side of my neck is tight and right erector muscle' Then he left the room, I undressed to my level of comfort (I'm a massage therapist, so I'm super comfortable in this setting), placed my jewelry in the bowl provided and got on the massage table, under the flat sheet. During the treatment I was gently mesmerized by the music and felt a release in my left levator scapulae ( back neck muscle) as he needled it. Like another reviewer mentioned, he is frequently late (very late) for scheduled appointments. I don't mind waiting 15 minutes or so, but there were times I waited 45 minutes to an hour for him. It's discourteous and careless to treat patients in that manner. This is not managed-care or an HMO, so there is no excuse other than poor time management for this kind of behavior.
