Fantastic "mom and pop" place in Brooklin. Prices are super reasonable and the food is really good. Best brunch around! Staff is friendly. Really great homemade desserts, try the butter tart! The interior of the restaurant needs a makeover as it is looking run down. They have a space for a patio but again, it needs some updating and I'd love to be able to order a pint, but it's bottled beer only, no taps. Despite its shortcomings it's one of my faves in the area. read more

A friend went to order a pizza for delivery later in the evening and was told it depends on how busy they were if he could get the pizza and to call back at a later time. They advertise delivery but fail to list the restrictions . I have ordered a lot of pizza over the years but have never been told it depends on how busy they were. With service like this I fail to understand how they have a decent review on yelp. If they keep turning customers away like this they may not be so busy in the future. read more

The owner Amin was very friendly. He took the time to advise us what their specialties were. We both got the pizza and shared a French onion soup. The soup had a nice broth with red wine and plenty of onions. The top was full of cheese and bread. It was nicely charred in a salamander or the pizza oven. We tried the large pizza called the combo. It was excellent. Lots of toppings and the crust was buttery and tasty. The under carriage of the pizza was perfect no flip. read more

Had a lovely spaghetti and meat sauce dinner and a pizza. Service was exceptional. They even helped me carry a takeout order to my car.

We wanted to give this mom & pop shop a try as its been around since 1972. We went during the quiet afternoon time and as you enter its very old decor simple style with probably seating of 40+ including the patio outside covered under a tarp. Here was what we ordered: Mini House Pizza (round up $11)- Basically like a personal pan pizza you can get at pizza hut but you can taste the toppings are a bit fresher... You get green pepper, onion, pepperoni, salami it seems. - It was alright imo, but not sure about being a popular choice. French Onion Soup ($8)- The broth was a bit light and the bread soaked in was really soggy, and it wasn't that cheesy, and there's a bit more of the onion. This was okay, but to save you the cost if you got a burger you can upgrade to french onion soup for $3 extra... Homemade Lasagna ($17)- Get a rectangular slab of lasagna with two piece of garlic toast. The lasagna was again okay, didn't really notice any ricotta in it. Swiss Mushroom Burger ($17)- You can add the lettuce, tomato, mayo and such as condiment to your burger. The burger was surprisingly moist and tender and the home cut fries with skin on it was great. We'd say this was the winner pick out of all of the ones we've ordered here. After driving by this restaurant so many times, I finally stopped in last night with my family and I was SO impressed! The owner was the nicest man, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food is fantastic and their pizzas are AMAZING! Nice and homey with a small town vibe. Michael Kelly's is an excellent breakfast/brunch diner for a quick bite in Brooklin before heading to wherever your destination. I opted for a healthier breakfast option: 2 Poached Eggs on Rye ($3.95) and my eggs were poached perfectly over easy. Service was friendly and my coffee was refilled without requesting. During the pandemic, when things had settled a bit and restaurants were allowed to reopen, we were salivating to go out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were accustomed to doing this and missed it. But we wanted a place with outdoor seating. Finally I remembered Michael Kelly's, I've driven past it for years without ever stopping. What a pleasant surprise, the patio area looked like a makeshift affair but it works. The service and food was great and surprisingly, so was the atmosphere, being on a busy road like Winchester. We really enjoy this place. The staff is very friendly. The food is great. Unfortunately their Sunday roast beef dinner was disappointing. The washroom was very clean and smelled nice. They could use a little update in their decor. The duct tape on the vinyl bench brings the place down a bit. We will definitely go back here and bring other friends. read more

I have been a regular at Michael Kelly's for the whole time we have lived in Brooklin, Ontario and have never had anything there bit great food. The pizza is the best I have ever had, Angelo in to make the dough needed plus they use only fresh ingredients including the cheese. WOW I am making myself hungry thinking of it. Fantastic little Ma & Pa's place! I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The meals are a great portion size, and not expensive. The pizza's are probably the biggest hit and definitely better than franchised businesses like Dominoes or Pizza Pizza. I'm happy Michael Kelly's is right near my office. Their food is freshly made, the do not use preservatives, they will happily customize your order, and the Greek foods taste great! I hear they are most known for their pizza and though it looks really good I've never had it. I like a lot of other options on their menu... I really enjoy their sandwiches. Michael Kelly's is a quaint little restaurant on the main drag of Brooklin. The diner showcases traditional diner fare and is known for it's pizzas. Perfect comfort food with something for everyone. The staff was a joy. They were extremely personable and accommodating. The flavours were fresh, vibrant and very satisfying. The portion sizes and pricing was beyond expectations. I will be back to experience more of the menu. read more

The pizza here is first rate. In my opinion, this is what you come here to eat. The pizza is more expensive but filling so you won't have to buy as much. The only other thing I had here was the moussaka. The taste was there but the cook made this dish on an earlier date and they warmed it up for me. Unfortunately the centre was still frozen. The taste and the quality of the pizza is what makes up for the moussaka mishap. read more

SERVICE: Sat at a table that was sticky, service was HORRIFIC. Not once asked how my meal was, and waited around for coffee refills. There was all of 5 people in the restaurant, so it being busy wasn't a question. The restaurant it self was quite empty, and there was no excuse for their lack of presence. FOOD: disgusting. I ordered a fairly simple meal - Scrambled eggs; potatoes and toast. The toast was cold, the eggs were microwaved, and the potatoes were raw and greesy. There were many points during our visit where this all could of been rectified. No one is perfect, however, when I was never asked how my meal was, never provided a refill of coffee without having to flag someone down, there is no excuse. My partner and I love to support local, family owned businesses, however this restaurant will never be receiving our business again, and I will be sure to let others in our network know! read more

Went in 23/06/2018 around lunch for a Sunday breakfast. Have been previously and really enjoyed the place. Only 4 other customers and 2 are just about to leave. Notice multiple vinyl booth seats are now fixed with vinyl or duck tape. Take a seat and waitress gives us menus. Does not ask if we want drinks or coffee and walks away . Wait nearly 5 minutes, have even figured out our orders and menus are down on the table. Nothing yet, Three young men come in and she talks to them as regulars. Seats them. We figure maybe we get our orders taken. Nope. She delivers 3 coffees to the young men. We are gobsmacked. She then cashes out 2 people leaving. Figure we have to be next. Nope . she goes to the regulars and takes their order. We leave. Never to return again . Totally disappointed . No excuse for this as the place was almost empty. read more

Grabbed dinner from here tonight, I had the chicken parm sandwich with fries and a French onion soup. All was delicious! Loved that the fries were fresh cut!! My husband had the Swiss mushroom burger with Cesar salad. So tasty and fresh every single time. We have been here a few times now, it's one of our favourite places in Brooklin. By far this is the best Mom and pop place in Brooklin.Its family run.Many of Brooklin's original residents know about this little restaurant...too bad the newbies gloss over it and visit those expensive cafeteria like places. The food is excellent here...everything on the menu is delicious...by far the best pizza in town,lasagna is to die for...deserves way more than 5 stars.The staff is attentive and go out of their way to make your visit pleasant. read more

I'm mad at myself for not going to Michael Kelly's sooner. I've passed by MK's for years! It has a homey, small-town feel with wonderful food. The staff are friendly and warm. Our favourite things to order are the deep dish pizza (WOW) and the spaghetti. We are also big fans of the waffles on the weekends. The portions are generous and the prices even more so. And if you can spare a pound or two, try their butter tarts and cupcakes. The extra weight you gain is worth it. read more

I used to come to Michael kellys for their pan pizza. It lacks a lot of flavor but they use fresh ingredients which I like. Whenever I got their garlic bread it had little to no garlic on it and I had to stop ordering it. I stopped goimg because they would get my order wrong and then when I was there a woman behind the counter knew someone that was in line behind me and after waiting for too long for my pizza she completed that persons order and served them first. I never went back again after this, terrible customer service and a lack of care for food qualty makes it a non option for me anymore read more
