Went for lunch and was happy brunch was available! The burgers were a hit and my pork belly Benedict was amazing! The server was very nice and we would definitely come back!

Very well hidden at a plaza, but lots of parking First time at this remember, friendly service, price reasonable and food delicious Ordered a 6 oz steak sandwich with extra $2 change sweet fries to garden salad. The steak sandwich with crispy onions new on menu, very good. But the bun was a bit oily The banana breads either vanilla ice cream is a must order dessert

Made reservations for Father's Day brunch and got a text confirmation, very organised. They were very busy as usual but lots of team work from staff, so no issues getting orders in and food brought out quickly. Kids pancake meal was perfect, the pancake was hot, fluffy, came with maple butter and drizzled with more maple syrup. We all eyed the kiddos plate hoping he would get full and need help polishing it off. The kids breakfast looked really big and filling. Two eggs, toast, protein of sausage or bacon and side of crispy taters. The brunch menu looked amazing so we ordered a few to sample for the table. Banana bread French toast which had a slight crunch on the outside but super moist on the inside. This was more dessert than brunch with the fresh berries, syrup and icing sugar dusting. If you like banana bread, then it's a no brainer. BBQ brisket hash on potatoes was perfectly saucy, sweet Smokey bbq, runny eggs mixing into a beautiful mess of flavours on each forkful. Mac and cheese order is a must and even at a large size it disappeared easily. The pasta was al dente and the creamy sauce just perfectly coated each bite. They even presented a father day card with a coupon for next visit. Love the brunch here and would celebrate any special occasions here again.

Went here for dinner with some friends--this was my second time visiting the restaurant. The drinks were good and the food was decent overall. I tried the cornbread, which was excellent, and I ordered the pulled beef brisket sandwich with a side of LA mac and cheese. The sandwich was tasty, but the mac and cheese was fairly bland and didn't stand out. That said, the service was good too.

A 3.5/5 restaurant in the heart of Markham, ON. Smash Kitchen has been around for quite some time and I've dined her previously before. Thought I'd come back to check it out after not visiting for years. Came for brunch/ lunch time and had a reservations - was seated promptly. Our server throughout our dining experience was great and accommodating, food on the other hand was okay for us, nothing really stood out. Poutine 2/5 - Got 2 poutines for the table to share. Unfortunately, both poutine had really cold cheese curds, to the point where the gravy did not melt any of the cheese at all. When you get a full bite of all the ingredients together, you get a weird mix of hot fries and freezing cold cheese in your mouth. Flagged this with our server, and asked for extra hot gravy to be brought out to try to help melt the cheese a bit. Gravy was brought out but still lukewarm at best. Omelette with homefries 3.5/5 - A great egg option if you're looking for something lighter. Home fries were good and crisp. Chicken and pancakes 3/5 - Crispy chicken pieces with 3 pancakes. A good mix of sweet and savoury. Fried chicken sandwich 4/5 - One of the better options on the menu imo. It comes with a mountain high pile of fried chicken between brioche buns. Came with pickles and slaw. Overall, there's a lot of hit or misses with their dishes. Some good, some just okay. Definitely think they could improve on some of their flavours.

I wish there were half stars because I think four isn't enough and five is too much. I visited smash kitchen a lot and I'm surprised I hadn't reviewed it yet so here goes Location: On the south side of Highway 7 West of Unionville. In a little plaza. It's tucked in the corner so you kind of have to know that it's there Parking: It's in a plaza in York region so there's free parking and lots of it. It can get busy there's a very popular sushi restaurant also in the plaza and a lot of beauty service businesses. But it's pretty open on the weekend especially at brunch The inside: It's pretty nice. Don't judge it by the plaza. You walk in and it's open and bustling but not crowded There's tables, their seats at a bar and then there's a high table with those high chairs. There's also a private room that you can request. I never have so I don't know if there's a fee or a minimum for it . Oh they also have a patio in the back. It's covered. I never set out there because I'm not in a real big fan of sitting outside and eating in the heat but if you are I could tell that this is a good one. The menu: The food's pretty good. It's a sister restaurant to my favourite restaurant in York region (next door restaurant) The food is diverse. But still kind of in the same vein. I've never had anything that I didn't like here. I tend to get the burger a lot because I know when they first open they were known for their burgers and this is where we would always come when we wanted a good one. And they're always good. I came the other day for brunch and oh my god it was so good. I didn't realize they were open for brunch on Sundays. I got this egger and cheese sandwich and you could add either bacon or hamburger patty so I added a hamburger patty and it was ridiculously delicious. It was served with home fries which as well were very good. I did get a Caesar, I love Caesars, wasn't my favourite. But judging by the amount of Caesars that were being handed out that day everyone else loved it. The staff: They're nice. I like that they know to leave you alone when you're with a group of people talking and eating. They checked in on us just the right amount of time. The cost. It's kind of pushing pricey but definitely worth it. Willow you back. I've been many times but I will definitely be back for brunch because I saw someone got this French toast that basically looked like it was half a loaf of bread and I need to investigate further.

What lovely service we had a Smash Kitchen for our anniversary! Our servers were so kind and brought forward the best service, the food was delicious and would highly recommend going on a weekday evening!

A popular local restaurant serving up hearty comfort food classics like Mac & cheese, ribs, burgers, & sandwiches. I came here on a weeknight to enjoy one of their weekly specials ($10 shareables on Mondays), and we had a great experience. The Baja fish tacos were delicious - the tempura battered haddock was light & crispy, and it paired so well with the spicy chipotle sauce. I wish it came with one more taco or a side, though! The chicken Cobb salad was also a crowd pleaser and very filling! I don't know how they grilled the chicken, but it was so moist. Also loved the goat cheese crumble, thick slices of avocado, and the sweet Dijon mustard dressing!

Cannot say enough great things about the service here. I came with a large group (~20ppl) for a lunch reservation and the staff were so incredibly accommodating and kind despite how loud I'm sure we were. Everyone's food arrived at the same time (which is a huge feat for this size group) and the food I got was delicious. I've been here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed by their plates. It's not a huge variety for the brunch/lunch menu but they do have seasonal changes in their menu. They also have an outdoor patio and tons of seating space indoors.

Smash Kitchen & Bar is a great spot in Unionville with a lively, modern atmosphere. The space feels welcoming, whether you're there for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with friends. The food is flavorful and portions are generous. The burgers are juicy, the mac and cheese is creamy and comforting, and the brunch menu has some creative options you don't always see elsewhere. Drinks are also well made, with a nice balance between cocktails, beer, and wine. Service is friendly and attentive overall, but during peak hours it can sometimes feel a little slow between courses or when trying to flag someone down. It's not a dealbreaker, but a bit more consistency in timing would make the experience even smoother. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and it's the kind of place that works just as well for a casual meal as it does for a night out.

Smash is still one of my fav spots in town! it's been awhile since my last visit dining in. We still go, I forget to take new photos as we can hardly wait to dig in. Or there have been several cravings for the LA Mac & Cheese and we just decide to grab takeout. Here was our last dining in experience, maybe within the last month. LA Mac & Cheese - THE best. Always creamy and cheesy, def a family fav! Nashville Chicken Sandwich - the picture says it all! Crispy chicken sandwich, can't go wrong ordering this. Crispy seasoned chicken with an incredible balance of heat and the coolness of the coleslaw. Roasted Corn & Poblano Dip - this barely lasted 5 minutes on the table. We all devoured this! I highly recommend this as a starter. Smash Burger - The OG and the best in town for smash burgers. Still consistently good. Service is always exceptional. Always checking in to see if we need anything else. Extra cautious for allergy concerns and there is never a long wait for anything, no matter how busy it is there. Sharing new photos!

Food was amazing and some had a different twist on things when other were what you find a a restaurant bar. I went with a 7 people and we were in front of the patio. Perhaps it was how they got their bigger group out faster but some of the staff did not completely close the door and it's was windy and we got the fresh air. That is the only negative. Over all it was nice and I may go back but not in front of the patio doors.

Came here for the first time highly recommended by my GF Jo. We cane here for dessert as part of my birthday celebration!! We've ordered breading pudding and it was amazing and heavenly! Coz it was my birthday celebration, they have nicely gave us free donuts dessert with a sparkler on top! Service was as fast and attentive! Restaurant itself was still busy at 9:30 pm or so on a Friday night when their closing time was 11 pm. Would love to return to try their other dishes!

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

The variety of colours was not matched with a variety of flavours, and everything was somewhat on the salty and greasy side. That being said, we very much enjoyed the potato hash, pancakes, and French toast. The portion sizes also outdid themselves - if you're coming here for brunch, just be prepared for a long nap in the afternoon! Service was excellent: prompt, helpful, and friendly. The carpaccio was fine, pleasant but fairly straightforward, but everything else we ordered was excellent The octopus was tender, and hearty, paired nicely with potatoes, hummus, some greens, and capers. It was well-balanced and satisfying without feeling heavy. The steak came out a perfect medium-rare and juicy. The nut topping on the fish added a really nice crunch, contrasting beautifully with the soft, tender flesh of the fish. And then there was the duck: the clear standout of the night. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The fat kept it incredibly juicy without feeling greasy. The charred cabbage on the side added a subtle smokiness that tied everything together perfectly. Every bite honestly made me happier and happier. Getting to the restaurant was a little confusing at first, but once you're there, it's absolutely worth it. A really enjoyable meal overall, and especially memorable for that duck dish. Definitely a place I'd return to.

Visited this restaurant on mother's day for a lovely lunch :)…read more What we ordered: Zucchini chips: ($27) 8.5/10 I've never had zucchini chips before, they were perfectly fried, light, and went well with the tzatziki. I feel like there could've been more zucchini for the price point Peppercorn steak: ($78) 8.5/10 Very tender and well-cooked steak. I couldn't really taste much of a peppercorn flavor in the sauce though. I prefer my steak on the saltier side so I asked for some salt and they gave me a small bowl of flakey sea salt (my favourite!). Lobster roll ($48): 9/10 I've never had avocado in a lobster roll before, and the flavours & textures actually worked really well together! The lobster tasted fresh and sweet. The fries were crispy and plentiful. This spot is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, service, and ambiance is reflected in the price.
