I was handed back my card and told my coverage was verified. As they stated that payment was needed before the root canal was performed, I was told to put it on a credit card and get reimbursement from my insurance. I then proceeded to have the work done. As the reimbursement did not arrive after a considerable amount of time I contacted Dr. Bergmans office to see if they had received the payment. I was then informed that they do not take any insurance in their practice, it's cash only. I was stunned and asked why they didn't inform me of this at the time when I was asking for insurance verification prior to the procedure as I made it quite clear that I intended to use my funds from my plan. I would have gone elsewhere of course. The front office receptionist simply continued to state that they didn't accept any insurance and that was that. Now I understood why they insisted I put it on a credit card. A few days later I called the office and asked to speak to Dr Bergman. I explained what had transpired and asked that he would in the very least refund a portion of my $2,000. He refused. I'm a senior living on social security and this was an incredible financial crisis for me. I don't have any complaints regarding the work done but feel I was blatantly mislead and lied to for my business. Shame on Dr. Bergman. It's hard to imagine that this office is so greedy and heartless.

I got there at 1015 for 1030 appt. At 11am I asked how far behind it is she said, "They should be taking you in soon its only 10:40. I said its 11am, my appointment was 10:30. Your clock is wrong" At 11:08 went back for xrays. They sat me down and said that they had seven extractions to do so it's gonna be a while before they can get to me. I asked if it was going to be a few minutes or closer half an hour? They said maybe it might be longer. So I said I'll come back another day because I have another appointment at noon in Morristown. Sunday night my back tooth that had bene bothering me; the top part of it actually came off causing me more pain from being exposed. I called and left a message expecting a call back Monday morning to see if they could see me before 2pm to have a emergency extraction because there was no way to save this tooth. I didnt get a call back so I called again and they said they would contact my insurance to get it done. still no response. So since I didnt hear anything, I went to my 2pm appointment, Nothing was sent to my insurance yet. The dentist said that there's no saving my tooth because it was cracked at the root and that's what was causing me so much pain is my gums we're actually growing into my tooth. So I'm going back-and-forth between them in the VA because they didn't put emergency extraction needs to be done ASAP. So I tell them that needs to be put in so I can get this tooth out I'm in a lot of pain. I kept calling the VA to put it in to get this tooth pulled, but Hurleys office didn't put in for emergency extraction, just regular. So the VA gets it approved within a couple hours and this place says they're gonna schedule me out in two weeks. I said are you kidding me I'm in a lot of pain I can't wait two weeks for this to come out it's been causing me issues for two months. I had asked the lady at the front if they could send in some pain medication and please call me and let me know when she calls it in. She never gave me a call back. Front people need better training and reliability.

He determined the cause of my pain, and gave me antibiotics to begin treatment right away. He had the girls in the office call me on Monday morning to see me that very same day. He took X-rays again And determined that I needed to see a specialist. His office staff sent my referral in for me. I will continue to see Dr Hurley in the future.

They kept insisting that I should make a payment even after telling them I had forgotten my card. Insisted that I should use Apple pay even though I didn't have the app they made me download the app but it did not work because I still needed to enter the details on the card. The recording said he was not open on Fridays (my crown came out on a Friday, too), but she explained in the VM that she was leaving Sunday for a funeral in IL. He called her back and said he'd see her at 11AM today. Wow! That's impressive. Being an established patient is a benefit! We're here at Dr. Radar's office now, waiting for her. She said it wouldn't be long because it was a temporary, and she'll get the permanent crown after she returns from IL. He's THAT good! At that time I was fighting cancer and unfortunately the refund check got into the wrong file at home and never got cashed. Now the cancer has returned and while going through the files we found that check. I called them to see if the check was still valid and was told that it is not. I requested a new check. I know that it was not their fault that the check was not cashed. I was told that they had formed a new corporation and that they could not possibly issue a refund now. The same doctor is there under a different corp a little grace would be nice. Should I need more work of that type I will not be going there.

I previously had a root canal done a few years ago by a Tufts student in Boston. That, as you may have guessed, didn't work out too well. Dr. Sullivan knows exactly how to properly numb your mouth so that you feel NO pain. At all. Nothing. I didn't realize that you're not supposed to feel pain because all my previous dental work was done without being properly numb (and I didn't know to speak up). The kicker - he called me that evening to check on me! Who does that anymore?? No, wait, another kicker - after the novocaine wore off I didn't experience any soreness or pain. I was so excited and bragged about this experience to everyone at work the next day.
