    My advice, avoid Aspen at all costs!…read more Firstly Aspen seems to push the sales of the clear aligners and electric toothbrushes to all new patients. Feels a bit scammy, but maybe most people need it. I signed up for the clear aligners. I was diligent about wearing the aligners, however at the end of the period my teeth weren't at target. They set me up with another set of aligners (for free) and I continued several more months. My teeth were mostly aligned but my bite was worse off (I now had to chew on one side of my mouth). They were considering a third aligner treatment... During this time frame they had lost track of a minor cavity (you don't go in for cleanings when you're in the aligner program) and after a year plus, my cavity had progressed to the point that the tooth had to be extracted. To be fair, I had forgotten about the mention of the cavity as well with all the time in the aligners. The next issue is with their billing. They don't seem to be able to email or postal mail me bills. It is always a "surprise you owe us money if you want us to see you today" when you show up for an appointment. You have to request the itemized statement and they are usually as confused by the statement as I am. My aligner was supposed to be covered by half or more by my insurance but Aspen was unable to submit the claim to the insurance company correctly. I ended up paying most of it out of my pocket (close to $5k). I stopped going to them after they refused to fix their issue reporting the claim to my insurance for the remaining $600 balance. Since Aspen is incapable of sending me a bill, some work they did 11 months ago that was apparently not approved by my insurance is now turned over to collections. I had no idea of this bill. Aspen never notified me once about this bill. They have my address, phone number, and email on file. The staff is generally very friendly. The turnover seemed a little high. I had 3 dentists and 3 hygienists during the 2 years I was a customer. The bottom line is that they seem to be incapable of producing clear billing statements in a timely manner and are unable to file insurance claims properly. Be sure to get the exact amount you are responsible for in writing, keep careful track of what you are paying for and what they are billing you for, and get them to write down everything that is covered or not covered by your insurance.

Lastly, 3 (29.99 each) of the items are buy 2 get 1 free of the same items (should be 59.98). I asked the man, is this with my veterans discount? He stated yes. When I got home and checked my receipt, the totals didn't add up. Subtotal 127.48, taxes 12.43 + 7.65 =20.08 147.56. I was charged 173.59. I called and advised of discrepancy. Man stated, he would contact manager. I went back the next morning the he stated the manager said the receipt is accurate. He stated he would text his regional manager and I would be contacted. 2 days later (I was not contacted) I went back and spoke directly with the manager and was advised the don't stack the promos, and my veterans discount won't apply with the promos! I advised him to check my purchase history as my veterans discount has always been applied, as well as I have purchased multiple items using their promo codes. He stated, that's how it is and wasn't going to do anything. NEEDLESS to say, I told the manager to remove all my information from their system and I will NEVER darken their door EVER AGAIN! Customer service my behind!
