Calling the office was frustrating because no one answered the phone, and I was directed to communicate through email instead. The office required all intake paperwork to be completed electronically including multiple signatures. Unfortunately, the system was not compatible with my iPhone, making it impossible for me to complete the required forms on my device. When I contacted the front office for assistance, I was told that if the paperwork was not completed, my appointment--which had already been scheduled for two days later--would be canceled. Rather than working with me to find an alternative solution, I felt the focus was on enforcing the paperwork requirement instead of helping a new client access care. For a counseling practice, I expected better communication, more flexibility with technology issues, and greater understanding when a patient encounters problems beyond their control.
