Upon return, there were no questions asked on whether or not she had recent x-rays, or subsequent inquiries to me (her caretaker) or where she saw the dentist previously, or attempts to locate any interim records whatsoever. Unnecessary x-rays were performed, which were not covered by her insurance. Further, her entire appointment was for prophylaxis and routine cleaning, and they didn't even clean her teeth! Instead they gave her a piece of paper "dental care plan" for an $1800 plan for perio, which was not explained to her, and which confused and embarrassed her. Jen, the hygienist, claimed she didn't "have time to clean my mother's teeth." She did have time, however, to take unnecessary x-rays, which hurt my mom, and to poke under the gums, which further hurt my mom. When Dr. Stacy G. Smith DMD came in, he spoke for my mom far too quickly for her to understand, and left quickly as well. My mom had no idea what was done or what was said or what was going on. No one explained anything to her in any way, shape, or form she could understand. No one asked her if she understood. No one gave her an office visit report, or anything to read or any resources on what she needed done. When I called the office back, very upset, because I felt the practice was taking advance of my elderly mother, I spoke with Amanda first, and asked that Jen called me back. Then I called back and spoke with Alison the second time, after my mother gave me further information on the situation, and said that if the dentist wanted to keep his license to practice, he needed to call me back asap, preferably with Jen. After about 15 minutes the office manager Alison called me back and explained that neither Jen nor Dr. Smith would be calling me to speak with me, and if I felt that strongly, I should take it up with the board - which is what I will be doing seeing as they violated the basic principles of biomedical ethics of beneficence, non-maleficence, and respect for autonomy.

They send you texts and emails that you can click this link to schedule an appointment and the link does not work. Their voicemail message says you can also schedule your appointment from their website or chat with an assistant if you need help but the link to schedule your appointment comes back as "404 error" and there is nothing on their website mentioning that you can chat with someone if you need help.

I originally came to Newnan Dentistry because I was experiencing pain in one tooth. They treated that tooth, but I was then told that I needed treatment on approximately 10 other teeth. Since then, nearly every tooth they worked on has caused me pain. More than a year later, I am still dealing with tooth pain every single day. After spending over $15,000 here trying to address these issues, I simply cannot afford to continue paying for treatment elsewhere to correct the problems. I eventually went to another dental office for a consultation and was told that there were concerns with the dental work I had received, particularly my most recent root canal. I was also advised by Newnan Dentistry to have my wisdom teeth removed in hopes that it would resolve my pain. I had them removed, yet the pain continued. I now deal with constant tooth pain in my ENTIRE mouth and frequent headaches. While I will say that the customer service here has always been amazing, my experience with the actual dental treatment has been completely different. I genuinely feel as though I was used as a guinea pig for months while trying to figure out why I continued to hurt. I trusted this office with my dental care and spent thousands of dollars trying to get out of pain, only to still be suffering more than a year later. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Newnan Dentistry. This experience has caused me an incredible amount of pain, stress, and suffering that I continue to deal with every single day.

In addition I was not told they would be using a mallet to install the post prior to it happening which was shocking. I've never experienced that before, but I should've been advised. I'm not sure why we did not graft any bone before the implant but now I'm being told and implant it's not the way to go and I want my money back. I've requested in messages to the office a refund. I'm going to contact Delta dental next. My implant failed within 10 days and I had to leave town

I had broken a wisdom tooth and was literally withering in the floor in pain, tempted to pull it out with a wrench myself. They told me it would be WEEKS before they could see me, that that absolutely would not see me that day or even on Monday!! WEEKS??? For an EMERGENCY? I was shocked. All dental establishments have appointments set aside for emergencies, and even if those are taken they STILL have you come in. Unfortunately this was Friday afternoon and the only other place that accepted my insurance was closed. I had to suffer through the weekend in excruciating pain. I couldn't even care for my children. Saturday evening my entire left side of my face swelled up, down my neck and into my air way. I couldn't breathe. I spent the rest of the weekend in the hospital getting iv antibiotics after having a breathing tube placed. There was a severe threat of sepsis setting up because staph (MRSA) had spread to my bloodstream from the abscess. I went to the amazing Dr Allred first thing after being discharged and he was appalled. Unfortunately my face is still swollen a week later and I'll have to be on a heavy course of antibiotics before he can even consider oral surgery. They told me had I been seen last week, none of this would have happened. I could have died. 32 years old, with 3 kids (one a newborn) and a husband. These people at Dr Hamilton are cold and callous and do not care about their patients!! What's sad, is I've been a patient there. Never again. When I am well, I will be showing up with my hospital bills and dental bills . I am also seeking a lawyer to see if anything can be done. I pray this never happens to another person. You all should be ashamed!!!!!!
