    1/5/25 Can I pass up a 70% OFF event/sale?!
    Jennifer W.

1/5/25 Can I pass up a 70% OFF event/sale?! Hell nah!! I thought I missed out on the sales for after Christmas but here I am!! Hubby was in the market for Sharpie & filler notebook/paper & I went along. My luck!! Whew! 70% OFF Christmas cards, gift wrap stuff, I went nuts! The area for this merchandise was well organized even at the end of the day, near closing time, Staff were helpful & friendly. At the self checkout, I could've done it myself but the kind staff offered to ring me up. I love this location! Plenty of free parking, I saved $55 from the regular priced items. So happy I stopped by. I am happy as a clam. Bought Christmas cards, tissue, gift bags & gift basket fillers. The sale prices are astounding! I might return to buy some more!! 14 items for $28 and the most expensive is the box of 10 cards for $3-what a steal!! Like Hubby says, made out like a fat cat hahaha

The price online doesnt match the price in store only

It's absolutely ridiculous. How you have an in-store item that's only available to pick up at the store for a set price of $20 online but when I go to the store it's $44 after tax.. why even have online prices available to customers if I have to use pick up which requires an additional two hours to get the item ready if Michael is going to advertise it for online for $20. And ITS IN STORE ONLY. And the employees that have a smug attitude because they don't wanna honor the price because it's part of " Michael's policy" understand that you're only making $20 an hour if that

Came here to pick up a few Easter items and stumbled across a huge Christmas clearance. They have huge mystery boxes for $10, I ended up getting these 23.00 garland for $1.00 each. There just isn't enough workers there, so trying to get help is a little difficult. They do have good stocked shelves, and the store appears to be clean. We do have a few workers at this location that do stand out and are very friendly and helpful. Once you get to the register. The key to Michael's is waiting for the items to go on sale checking your emails, or going onto the website to grab a coupon.

I can spend hours in this store! From paper, to knitting materials, glue, glitters, wood, paint, scissors, creative magazines, cards, or all the tools to store it in. The staff is real 'on point too! If you are the 'DIY' type of person, go!

The funny thing is there are actually closer card shops to us, but we still choose to make the drive here because the prices are consistently better. I've compared them against a couple of other local shops and even many vendors at Frank & Sons, and A&N usually comes out ahead. What really stood out during our latest visit was how fair they were with store credit. I brought in some cards from my personal collection that I was willing to part with, and they offered a value that felt reasonable and honest. That store credit quickly turned into Pokémon packs for the kids, which immediately made their day. Seeing my kids walk out of the store excited and holding their new haul reminded me why we keep coming back. Good prices, fair trade values, and a family friendly experience go a long way. We'll be back once we've worked our way through this stack of packs.

STAY AWAY FROM 7-Hobby!!!…read more I pre-ordered an item from them last June (2013) and was supposed to be shipped in the fall last year (2013). It's been a year now and I have NOT received my product. In fact, the product is SOLD OUT! I contacted them about 6 months ago enquiring about my order and got told that they had no exact shipping date, that I should just WAIT. Well, I waited, and waited, and eventually forgot! I have contacted them again and again and I have not heard back. I'm not even sure if they are a legitimate business. Do yourself a favour, AVOID 7-Hobby at all costs.

Somtimes buying here would be better for me because it arrives a lot faster than to wait longer from ebay sellers from HK to send it to me. While this store is more expensive then even ebay, they were able to get the product to me pretty fast. I had my first product from them no PROBLEM. Then bought a Second but was an OPENED box.. it was a used product sold as "new". Asked for a exchange but was told that it was a fine product and cannot be exchanged. FINE, I can tolerate that.. so I bought another product, a WWRP bertie. The WRONG product arrived and I had to send it BACK! Later the bertie finally came but was a defect. Its head had a lob-sided head, rather deformed, due to heat I supposed, but it was way too deformed to be fixed so I contacted them. THEIR policy says they will cover any DEFECTIVE products, and cover shippings both ways like sideshow collectibles. Their resolve? They said I was a troublesome buyer and that they will not send a replacement and will only refund me the total and not the remaining store credit. PLUS, they said they must blacklist me on the website to prevent me from buying again. HAHA I bought like 4 figures from them and had only one small problem. No real business would do this to a customer who have bought 4 figures over 100 dollars EACH from their website. They clearly dont know how to do business. My friends, stay away and beware. They are nice at first, but they avoid responsibility like a good store should have. Spread the word, I just lost some store credit money as well.

Worth the Drive from Temecula! Garen is a Genius!…read more I cannot recommend Revelation Hobbies enough! I live in Temecula and called around to at least 6 different shops in my area looking for help with a project. I have a couple of older Nitro RC cars (specifically a Kyosho Inferno GT) that I wanted to convert to electric ("Frankenstein" them), and no one had a clue what I was talking about. Then I called Revelation and spoke to Garen. Not only did he immediately know what the Kyosho Inferno GT was, but he also understood exactly what I was trying to do--even though I really had no idea what I was getting myself into, lol! I made the drive out to Montclair, and it was 100% worth it. When I got there, Garen grabbed all the parts I had discussed over the phone. But when he actually saw the car and the used parts I already had, he stopped me. He told me I didn't need half the stuff he had pulled, figured out a much better way to do the conversion, and ended up saving me over $70! It's rare to find a shop owner who will talk you out of buying things just to do the job right. From now on, for anything RC related, I'm making the drive to Revelation. I know I'll actually get the right advice the first time. If you're reading this and live a distance away, trust me: make the trip and ask for Garen. He's the best!

One of the employees who helped me was very, very rude. He disrespected my personal collection, consistently interrupted my friend whenever he spoke, and even made fun of the cards I was buying from the shops own inventory. While making a trade, I'd informed him the binder he was looking at was my personal collection, which he simply said "I don't care," and proceeded to look. The entire experience felt very hostile, and is the one to make me realize I need to fight more if I want to feel satisfied in this hobby. I'm sure my discomfort was written on my face, and I'd tried to chop up this employees behavior to dry or sarcastic humor, but it got to a point where it was simply straight up disrespectful. That said, I can appreciate the shops stocking and overall organization. It's nicely constructed on the inside, but that employee really needs to understand how to have pleasant conversations with CUSTOMERS.

Meanwhile, I talked with Andrew, a game enthusiast who had just purchased a huge game box with cards and dragon figures and was learning how to play it. Sure, it was pretty far away (Glendale) from Riverside, but I always enjoyed the trek and good times. Fortunately, Kyle, opened the Game Nights Cafe about 1.5 years ago as of this writing (01/01/2025), and the two-level shop and gamespace provides games to purchase, an impressive library of games to play in-house, and necessary hobby materials, such as Citadel paint, brushes, tools, and even a nifty airbrush set for about $70. After two visits here I'm Reviewing the shop, setting, atmosphere, and special New Year's Eve event. First, my long-time gaming buddy happened upon the store while antique shopping across the street. While Gameology in Upland has been our go-to, the initial appeal was the later hours of operation, especially on Sundays, the day we typically line up. There's a game cover fee, a reasonable $6 per player and good for the entire day. Otherwise, as Kyle mentioned to me, people would stay all day and not even purchase anything. Purchases, however, do offset the cover charge. The basement is where the bright track lights make the full-lenghth space inviting. Many hundreds of games line one wall. All are available for anyone wanting to play. And a significant number of tables and comfortable chairs are another draw. There's also a sizeable space upstairs adjacent to the retail area for games. Kyle invited us to come back for New Year's Eve for food, beverages, and a generous playtime that surpassed 2am. For $40 I was down, especially when I saw how much food was provided. A fullscale Middle Eastern feast, as well as charcuterie, sides, and desserts. Wow! The crowd was also fun and my group quickly befriended another and we played lots of fun games that could support 6 players, including Heat, Acquire, and Inca Gold. All three were in the extensive library previously referenced. In short, they host many events for Magic the Gathering (MTG), Dungeons and Dragons, open play nights, and hopefully more NYE celebrations. Finally, they also have a lot of games and things marked down for quick sales, so consider browsing. Not far away is the Glass House, and somewhere close by is Zoink Records.
