Service, price, and overall experience on top of supporting a family owned business is why you should get your flowers here! If you're looking for a local flower shop that has reasonable prices and provides excellent service, then go here please! These are the types businesses that we need to help thrive! I hardly write reviews but felt I had to say some thing about the extremely WONDERFUL SERVICE this family owned flower shop provided to me. I asked for a custom flower arrangement and brought a white pitcher and brought a Pinterest inspired picture. Ortencia and Juan let me know the type of flowers it had and gave me an approximate price. They texted me while at the flower mart and gave me the exact price with and without the peonies in the arrangement while at the flower market. She also asked if the color of the flowers were ok. Once all was confirmed, she texted me a pic of the arrangement to ask if it was to my liking or if she should make any final changes. I picked them up and they were beautiful! The flowers were for a co-worker who was retiring after 30yrs so I wanted them to be special and not off-the-shelf and the way they walked me thru the process made me feel like I was personally creating this arrangement. In the end, my friend texted me and said, she loved them! This will be my flower shop from here on and will let all of family and friends know about this place. read more

Pretty disappointed with this shop. My boyfriend came here to purchase me some Mothers Day flowers & when I saw them I was absolutely shocked. I obviously told him I loved them but I immediately saw wilted roses on it . They charged him $50 & didn't bother to Change out the roses. He grabbed it because tbh he doesn't know how to look for flowers. But as I an ex florist I saw it as a compete rip off. The arrangement looked like it was days old & I couldn't tell my boyfriend about it . This is not the first time he has gotten ripped off here , we live down the street so this is his to go shop. I'm just disappointed. Where I worked at we would charge $25 for that vase , & would have nice flowers on it. Not wilted ones. (Sorry I don't know how to send a private message but I had to take the brown pedals off /roses off once he came home& wasn't in the room with me . So I tried my best to fix them , and wrapped the left overs in floral wire to last a bit longer. So at the moment I do not have pictures of the brown wilted flowers it came with. ) read more

We needed a very last minute funeral arrangement. I called just before close on Monday and asked if it could be done Tuesday by 4 and they said yes. I rushed in, made the order and that was that. The next day when picking it up.. I was blown away. They did an AMAZING job. They used soooooo many flowers and it was so full. We are definitely happy with our purchase. What a beautiful job she did on the wreath for a funeral. We asked for a large round flower wreath on a easel, just told her to do her thing and make it look beautiful, and that is exactly what she did. She asked what primary colors we wanted and the rest we just left to her expertise. She put this together on short notice and delivered on time, it was perfect. I was hesitant on trying a small business flower shop but I am so glad I did it. The flowers are beautiful. I went in and was greeted by the couple and explained what i wanted and showed them the dress so they knew what colors they were wearing and then I also order a matching boutonniere and bouquet of flowers for her mother. I picked them up Saturday was nervous walking in but walked out of there in aww. The flowers were beautiful and was exactly what I wanted. A big thank you to Hortencia for her help tonight! I needed to send flowers on short notice to a dear friend that is hospitalized at Pomona Valley Medical Center. As I live out of town, at first I tried online using a major flower delivery website. Unfortunately Covid restrictions are still in place, they are not delivering to hospitals. I decided to search for a local florist nearby and saw that Genesis was across the street and still open. Hortencia was so nice and was able to help me select over the phone the perfect arrangement from what she had on hand, by sending me photos of what is available. I was also able to request a few customizations. Hortencia was helpful, worked with my budget, and had the flowers delivered within 30 min of my call. Great customer service. I texted with the owner about buying some Gardenias. She said she didn't have any but that she would go out to the market to find some. When I picked them up I discovered they were just the flower tops with the stems cut. This wasn't at all what I had expected but the employees gladly worked with me and put them in a beautiful arrangement inside a pink box with some other flowers. They did all of it free of charge and it looked great. I would definitely recommend this shop. read more

GREAT customer service! Juan quickly put together an arrangement for delivery to Pomona Valley Hospital same-day. Juan went above and beyond by sending a photo of the arrangement to me just to make sure that I liked it before he delivered it. Doing this made me feel like I was a VIP customer as a result. The arrangement was perfect and to make the experience even better, Juan had it delivered so fast! I'm very proud to say that I serve my community by shopping at small business and trying to support them in this difficult time. I ask my children to do the same, but I will never return to this flower shop or recommend it again! My daughter that lives up north called the shop to order my Mothers Day flowers. She ordered 12 red roses and lilies. Because she lives up north she asked my son to pick up the arrangement. My son got there at the time given for pick up and nobody answered. He was leaving and a guy ran out and gave him a arrangement of flowers. I took a picture and sent it to my daughter to thank her and she was upset to see that it was not what she ordered. She called the shop and the guy who answered told her he was willing to give her 5 more rose. She did not want 5 more roses because the arrangement should have been made the way she asked and what she paid for. After my daughters persistence the guy agreed to give her what she paid for. My son returned to the shop to pick up the new order and he was told it was not ready, he was asked to wait in the car for the new arrangement. My son declined to leave and insisted on waiting right there. 1 hour passed and still no flowers. The workers waited on other customers and completely ignored my son. When my son asked how much longer for his flowers the guy said "oh your flowers have been ready, they're right here" the guy handed him a bouquet that had been sitting there the entire hour he had been waiting. You are very unprofessional and I will never return to your shop and I will make sure that Pomona residence know not to shop at this establishment. That was not nice of you to try to pass off a arrangement of carnations and a few roses and lilies for the dozen roses and lilies my daughter ordered and then replace it with roses, greens and lilies wrapped in plastic, SHAME ON YOU! read more

My husband surprised me with beautiful long stem red roses (dozen) the gentlemen that delivered them was very nice and polite! They roses were amazing and they lasted almost 3 weeks and smelled so beautiful. My Father-In-Law past away and my Husband and I visit Genesis Flower Shop for the first time to get some flower arrangements done (spray) for the Casket, I showed the owner Juan and his wife Liliana which she is the one that does the arrangements (florist) I showed them a picture of a arrangement (spray) and the names and pictures of the flowers that I wanted and they didn't carry any of the flowers that I chosen for the spray, so Juan went out of his way to the flower mart to get me the flowers that we requested and Juan and Liliana came threw the flower where amazing and beautiful, they were delivered on time at the Mortuary! They actually started to droop after 24 but it was really obvious after 48. My wife changed out the water etc... but they were old when we got them- certainly not fresh flowers. I cannot recommend Beautiful Flowers as I called them to tell them what happened. They refused to replace the flowers and offered 50% off another two dozen. I'm not taking the chance that those will be as bad as the first so I'll pass and never shop there again. These flowers weren't cheap either- I paid well over $100 for them.

I had called around 4pm to ask about them and was told that it was Mother's Day and they were busy and trying to deliver things still. At this point the day is nearly over and the ability to celebrate and enjoy the flowers for the day has long gone and no one really wanted the flowers anymore. Unfortunate they can't manage to hire adequate staff for a day where they already expected a significant increase in delivery volume. On a separate delivery for an order that was not even on a major holiday the flowers were not delivered until after 1pm. Clearly timely delivery should not be an expectation. There is no option I could find to specify a delivery time, only date. Delivery used to be better and prices more reasonable. Recommend you look elsewhere for your floral needs.
