This Michael's looks old. It's literally falling apart at the seams. They got tube things coming out of the room. The floors are dingy and dirty. It's such an old store. The female associate at the front looks like she had a day even though it was only 11am in the morning. Didn't greet me at the register or anything. Literally paid for my stuff and got out. No conversation or anything. The only thing she said to me was my total. Lol. Rudest workers on the planet I walked in to buy 7 frames on sale and was told at checkout that they weren't even though the sign was out next to them. However that's not what angered me it was the cashier, instead of moving on and checking out my other items she belittled me and my mother to the point she had a coworker go back and check the sign, the Cashier then proceeded to tell us we were wrong in front of other costumers. I responded "apparently we're imbeciles" and she still wouldn't get off the subject. Ten minutes later my mother and I walked out. read more

I went to Michael's and purchased a circut. They did not have the model I wanted so offered me an older model for the same price. I asked for a discount since it's an old model and they refused. I made decision to go ahead and purchase it says it was for a gift. When I got home it turned out to be a floor model which was just a nonworking empty shell. I was frustrated but understood accidents happen. When I took it back I could tell that the manager thought I was scamming him. He reluctantly got a new model and still refuse a discount for my trouble. When he was ringing me up he made a comment under his breath that this story was fishy. I asked him to repeat it, and he said he was talking about the computer. He happened to be there when I went through the line again with my girlfriend. He still did not believe the story and never offered a simple apology. I know things happen but why can't people simply apologize rather then being accusatory and having a bad attitude. read more

I usually love arts and crafts stores, but I'm certain this one takes the cake for awful service, and I thought I had it bad in New York. I went there to pick up some yarn earlier this summer, and it turns out they didn't carry it (which was odd, Vanna's Choice Yarn is a fairly common kind of yarn). I looked around to find someone to ask about the yarn, I found two employees sitting around on the floor, carrying on some useless conversation with merchandise strewn all over the ground, making no effort to put the products on the shelves where they belong. I asked each of them for help, and both gave me death stares and otherwise ignored me. Well, sorry for interrupting your oh-so-important conversation. When I finally found an employee that was (begrudgingly) willing to help me find a measly skein of yarn, I got nothing but attitude and the whole "I don't want to help you, go away" airs. Those were the three only people in the store, and boy, did they put me off shopping for art supplies all day. As far as the prices go, they seem kind of jacked up and ridiculously expensive. If you're in the Melbourne area, just save your time and go to the Michaels on US 192. read more

I went to this store because of a coupon clipping. 40% off any one item in the store. I needed some acrylic paints and brushes. Got to the register only to be told: "You can't use the coupon for these items". Okay so I tried another coupon that had 45% off paints, brushes, art supplies. Casher said: I'm sorry you cannot use the coupon for these items either". I just left the items with her and traveled over to Hobby Lobby. They had a coupon for 40% off and I purchased my supplies without any hassle. I will not patronize Michaels ever again. read more

I wanted to get my boyfriend's registered star framed for Christmas. My daughter took it for me. The store manager Peter helped her. He told her to framed an 8×10 with matting was normally 650 dollars. He charged her 195 and told her two weeks. She is 19 and paid and left. I called an hour later and spoke to the manager of framing. He said he could expedite it to be ready for Christmas for 40 dollars. I said can you just charge the same card. He said no I had to come back by 10pm. I said I couldn't as I worked. I then said could I cancel it, he said I had to come back that day for a refund. I already told him that was impossible. I thought he said his name was Dave, so I said was your name Dave, and he said yes. I found out his name was Rob. I talked to the manager again, and he said he could wait on the refund, I wouldn't have to be there that day. I told him his reviews were very poor in framing, and he said thank you. He could care less how his customers were treated. It shows. I later called and said I can't get back just send it out and frame it in the two weeks. Rob told me he cancelled it. I said how could you cancel it, because you wouldn't do a thing for me. I sent an email to corporate. I received no response, so obviously they don't care either. I love this location! The customer service is wonderful and they're always so polite and willing to go the extra mile to help you find what you need. They also give you the coupon discount if you do not have it readily available on your phone.
