I took the bracelet into the store, left it with Rahim Khurami, Repair Manager, and the jeweler looked at it and I was called with the cost. Three weeks later, I went to pick it up. Intentional or not, it happened. While I was there, waiting patiently, I did get a chance to look at nearly everything they had to offer. Good prices, clean, untarnished jewelry as well. After the second person skipped me, I took my daughters to an accessory boutique elsewhere in the mall and spent 122$. Little things do matter, especially when it comes to service. I might add I just recently purchase another diamond ring and an18k necklace there. I was there yesterday and was told the store manager would be in today. I went in and noticed the ring was gone, so I asked if someone bought it. the first answer from Phil (the store manager). he said yes, then changed his answer to, that "it was put up for scrap". that he could not bring it out for me to buy. indicating it was put up this morning and was still there. How is this good business? I am certain I'd have paid more for it than scrap. you tell me, how is this honest practice? AWFUL, AWFUL customer service for Zales.com…read more Zales Merchandise might be fine and their in store associates friendly as well but beware if you purchase something through their website. I don't know if it their IT system, policy or the fact that I paid through Paypal but I am currently in the midst of a two week Ordeal of trying to get a refund. I placed on-line order on the evening of Dec 16th and an hour later called their 800 number to cancel. I was told by the representative that would be no problem. Two days later I got an email that the Item had shipped and my card was billed. First off it has been my experience that most other companies for in store shipment pickup nothing is billed until the customer picks up the merchandise. I immediately called the 800 number again an explained the situation and was told since it was shipped they could not credit my account. I would have to go to the store to pick it up and then the store could issue a refund as return. I then drove the store when the merchandise arrived. The Sales associate brought the merchandise out but said the invoice said no refund and system would not let her. She then was nice enough to call Zales.com and after awhile it turned out since I paid with Paypal they could not issue a refund. I was instructed to take possession of the merchandise and then send it back to them. So again I was given Misinformation from the Zales.com and wasted an hour during Christmas shopping with no refund. As of Today Jan 5th no refund nor had the store even sent the merchandise back to their fulfillment center. Not even could a Zales.com supervisor issue me a refund as that must be done by the fulfillment center when they get the merchandise for which I never took possession. While the supervisor said she will call the local Zales to make sure it was shipped tomorrow and call me back to confirm, this whole experience has left me with a bad taste for the way this company handles customer issues.
