Really love this store! I bring my daughter here or the kids art classes. They are perfectly priced (free-5$) and take just the right amount of time to do. The workers are always great too! I find retail items to be pricey but if you go online they always have a 40% off one item coupon on their website, so it makes prices resonable.

These are the only things I find interesting at Michael's.

It's yet another Michael's, and it's a very good one. Recommended always. For those who love crafting, Michael's is a godsend.

I don't even know where to start…read more.. Games Unlimited is the best game store I have been to in my entire lifetime. Before moving back to California, this place felt like home to me. Every worker here will nail you with the best board game recommendations not even AI can beat. I have never seen a board game store so large and organized. You'd think because I'm from SoCal that this store would be nothing to me but you could never be so wrong. Everyone who works here is so personable, so lovable and so passionate about the hobbies they share. I will never forget this store. I was introduced to game genres I never thought I would be interested in like 'Shake That City' to 'Mysterium Park'. Memories were shared here with my S.O. that I will never forget and those memories I took back home to play with my family and friends. I don't think I am ever going to experience the hospitality I experienced in this place ever again. I would have never bought my first board game in my life if I didn't take my first step in this store. Thank you Games Unlimited for just being you.

Granted they apparently haven't been open long and have some definite bugs that need to be smoked out if they want to rival Eide's, New Dimension Comics, or Phantom of the Attic. The old B&W store never topped Eide's Entertainment in terms of comics, but they at least had a respectable, if not vast inventory, not to mention model rockets, trains, and related items on the ground floor (comics and games were in the basement). This latest version of the long-running shop is merely two unkempt, poorly lit rooms featuring nothing but comics and gaming merchandise. Their comics selection is limited to new releases and older issues that go back no further in time than the 1980's. Also, the back issues I did see were packed way too tightly into the dirty, worn longboxes, had no backing boards in them, were in dusty, moldy polybags, and were low-grade condition-wise. None of the issues I saw were high-demand or premium either. Nor were they graded. New comics and recent back issues were stacked in baskets that lined the walls, meaning you had to awkardly lift them out one-by-one to see which issues were underneath the ones you didn't want. One plus about the new B&W is that they run specials on recent back issues that can get you 50 comics for $30 in a bagged set. New Dimension does this, and I wish Eide's and Phantom's would follow suit. Unfortunately, you can't open the bags to see all the issues that are in the sets, and there's nothing telling you what all you're getting (ND will list what's in each set on the pricetag). I'm hoping B&W improves since we could always use another comics shop in Pittsburgh, particularly Downtown, but based on my experience, I have a feeling they aren't long for this city. When the gentleman minding the store was too busy phoning a friend to answer a question I had, it left me with little desire to return. P.S. Kay found a bushel of Hellraiser comics that she wanted to purchase at a bargain of a price, but being that B&W only accepts cash, she had to put them down and buy them elsewhere (Eide's!). Way to lose out on some commerce, guys.

It was something we have always wanted to do, but it always sold out before we had the chance to. As the glass blowing experience approached, I took the day off work and we coordinated an entire day around the session. We were very excited to go. On September 27th, we received our confirmation email reminding us of our upcoming session. On September 29th at 3:07 pm, we received an automatic cancellation email that our appointment had been cancelled and we needed to reschedule. The email provided no explanation for the cancellation. There was no additional email sent and no contact attempted by phone. Confused, my boyfriend tried the number provided and left a message. He also sent a Facebook message. Concerned, I called the company as well and after 2 calls, reached Janine (spelling?). She explained that they didn't receive the glass supplies needed for the session and that they were cancelling all sessions on Saturday and all sessions on Sunday. I asked if they were going to reschedule or offer an additional session for those who have already signed up. I was informed that I could reschedule after January 1st, 2018 because the rest of the pumpkin workshops were booked. I mentioned that a glass pumpkin wouldn't really do me much good in January and she agreed. I asked if we could come another time instead. She told me that she would speak with the guys who run the workshops and call me back. She didn't seem concerned and it was like she was caught off guard by my questions. On October 4th, I still hadn't heard back. I called the company again and left a voicemail for Janine asking for a return call. Today is October 10th. I just attempted to reach Janine again and it went to her voicemail. I left another message, but it's been 11 days since our first conversation. I don't have high hopes that she will call me back. I understand that things happen. I'm not sure why supplies weren't ordered ahead of time (since we booked 2+ months prior and they had already had a weekend of workshops), but even then I can understand that it might have been out of their control. I'm not an expert in glass supplies, but I would imagine that there has to be more than 1 supplier. All of that aside, there is absolutely no excuse for how it has been handled. I would expect a phone call or email explanation for the cancellation. As a customer, I shouldn't have to make numerous attempts to find out if it was cancelled intentionally or in error. When called, I would expect that a business do everything it can to accommodate those that were cancelled. An additional session could have been opened for those who were still interested in attending a workshop. Ironically, Vessel Studio Glass has a 48 hour cancellation policy in which you will forfeit 100% of your session fee if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. They provided only 24 hour cancellation notice to us and were not apologetic in any way. They also did absolutely nothing to try and make it right. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and wish that we would have had the opportunity to attend the workshop that we signed up for.
