Do not buy picture frames from Michael's. I purchased the last one of this frame. When I got home, I realized it was cracked (it's not wood, it's a cheap foam board underneath). I went back to try and return it and they refused because I did not buy the "extended protection plan" despite it still being in original packing and a recent purchase. The employees are not at fault, it is a problematic corporate decision. Do not buy from them until they stop selling defective products and honor returns. read more

They NEVER answer the phone! It rings forever before going to a voicemail that says "Goodby" and then disconnects. They've had my piece of art for framing for 3 weeks... an entire week past when they said it would be finished. They make you pay in advance so they've already gotten my money. I will never come back here. The drive to Hobby Lobby in Franklin is more than worth it and way less expensive... they also have customer service! read more

I love this store don't get me wrong but the worts store manager I have ever seen works here. As a result, since she represents the store(!) the worst customer service I will call it! I had an online delivery, she could not be less willing to help. She almost sent me back home without one of my items when it was sitting in the closet right behind her. She called customer service complaining that the item was not delivered to "her store" without even checking the closet behind her!! Took multiple times me telling the receipt I have says DELIVERED, and she being like "I cant help you it is not here"! read more

Some items can be a bit pricey here. We always take advantage of their coupons. Today we went after some baskets and they really did not have much. We also we're looking for some jewelry items particularly pendants and they were very low on those too. We wound up purchasing a Halloween T-shirt that was on sale and a snake skeleton that was also on sale. We will be back but finding what you want is really hit or miss. read more

Michael's is a necessary store for me. I'm a little crafty and I like tchotchkes around the house. I also love framing photographs and hanging them in our house. So, yeah, I'm at Michael's on the regular. And it's a great store generally. Great selection, very clean, great framing department. What brings this store location down? The line for checkout is always sooooooo long. Sometimes there's only one register open. Sometimes two. I've never seen more than three, and that was pulling backup (I think), because the line wasn't moving. So, great store with great employees - just wish the checkout lines weren't so epic. read more

This specific location has ZERO service once you are inside the store. Screenshot the coupon & pull up the info if you are looking for something specific and screenshot before. I had my cart with items I was looking for in the store, but once I got in the store I couldn't pull it up and see what they were. Lets go to Michaels she said. My heart sank as I imagined another hour in a crafts store. I remember spending hours at home playing XBOX and now I'm stuck at Michaels! Back in the day I could sneak down to CompUSA, but they are long gone. Fortunately they didn't have what we wanted so the visit was brief. Since Hundred Oaks has finally been redesigned, its actually easy to get in and out of now too. If your girlfriend/wife/better half/partner demands you stop into Michaels too, you can't do too bad here. read more

Love to see if anyone makes it past 100. Bottom line: It is a shame Nashville proper doesn't have any Hobby Lobby's, Joann's, or Hancocks. It is a shame that Nashville has no decent sewing/fabric stores, which I can't really hold against this store in particular, but the customer service is just abysmal. read more

This is a really cool store, however the are supplies are very over priced. You can get them at like a Hobby Lobby or online for a lot cheaper. Other than that they do have a good selection. The store is okay, they always seem to have shopping carts of broken items and trash in random places in the store. The staff was less than nice, the cashier was very slow and didn't seem to care about anything. My wife and I like water color, so we got a small water color set, it said $12 on the self that it was on, (I checked the barcode) and when she scanned it it pulled up at $34.99. We said that's not right, she then proceeded to say "It is pulling up as $39.99, theres nothing i can do" Very rude! So we didn't get it, but we did get 2 other paint brushes. This store is a little slice of heaven for me. They have everything you need to unleash your inner artist, pastry chef, interior decorator and do-it-yourself-er. The checkout process at this one is a little frustrating. The front counter is VERY slow and typically stocked with less than outgoing employees. Michaels is heaven to crafters in Nashville without a doubt! I am amazed every time I walk in to the store that I am never bombarded by project ideas. Each section is neat and tidy and is easy to sift through. My absolute favorite aspect about Michaels is the clearance. I have found the coolest stuff for our apartment or gifts for other people hiding in the clearance. This store actually has a pretty interesting layout because the scrapbook section is in the exact center of the store. Talk about convenient! A tip for bargains: shop clearance, sign up on their email list to get coupons, and if you are sucker for thank you notes or blank stationary Michael's dollar spot is awesome!!! read more

I was lucky to be in there when they had a small sale on cheap yarn. Their yarn selection was decent; their needle selection was not. I know this store would never have the choices a knitting store would specialize in. But for prices at a fraction that a knitting store would charge, I would get something here if there were a knitting emergency. My self-imposed knitting emergency was to make a hat for my husband for the upcoming colder temps. I bought some of their thickest yarn and completed a very warm hat a few hours later. I always get Michael's and JoAnn's mixed up. Both stores have tons of options for people who like arts and crafts. However, JoAnn's also has sewing fabric and sewing machines; Michael's does not. After roaming around the store, I was initially disappointed that there was no fabric. And then I realized I was in a Michael's and not a JoAnn's. Lots of components for holiday decorations for those who like to make them themselves. Cake decorating, jewelry making, scrapbooking, framing, ... they have it all. Well, except for sewing fabric. Since I'll be in the area a few times a year, I may step in on occasion, especially if I need to make something cheap, warm and quick during fall/winter. read more

I had four Hatch Print Show prints framed here. They did an outstanding job and reasonably priced. I had take five different ones to a local framer and was disappointed in her quality and her pricing was out the roof. I would definitely go back to get frame work done there again! read more

I stopped by this store on my lunch break to grab a few things even though I normally go to the bellevue location. The aisles were incredibly unorganized and there was a female associate sitting on the floor in the middle of one of the aisles organizing things with her butt crack hanging out. Appetite ruined. Then the checkout line was incredibly long and cashiers were rude. No thanks. Not ever coming back to this store. read more

The store is clean and well organized, however the staff is minimal, so if you have any questions or try to find something good luck. They don't carry a lot of things on the floor, you have to get them online only and there's no ship to store. Their coupons are a joke, you can only use one per day, per item, per customer. Also, you have to look at the fine print very, very closely because there are a lot of exclusions and restrictions and sometimes they are just false advertising. Two days ago I got a mailer that said in big letters- combine your coupons, there was a $10 off $40 and the 40% off. Got very excited and head to the yarn aisles to stock up my stash. Once I got to the register, I was rudely informed that the coupon only worked for regular priced items, and most of my stuff was already marked down. I insisted that there was nowhere in the ad or the coupon anything about only for regular price items. We looked closely at it and she reluctantly agreed with me. Still the coupon wouldn't take the $10 off. I had to put back 1/2 of the yarn as I was very annoyed by their false advertising and the clerks' indifference. read more

This an eternally frustrating store. It's the only craft store in town so they can get away with being bad. They have embroidery floss but no patterns. Really? Walmart is about as good of a bet as this michaels. The lines at michaels also never seem to end. No matter the time of day or how busy, this is the slowest store I've ever been to but they are also the only craft store with certain items. Makes me so angry. read more

Messaged Facebook (I assume the corporate store) and asked to leave a message. Unhelpful. Never called to help when I left a number. This was a big framing project and could have been lucrative to Michael's, but I will instead find someone else. I came to this Michaels over a month ago to get something very simple framed and never received a call saying it was ready. I called last Friday to ask if it was ready and a woman on the phone told me they were working on it and she'd call me back "in a little bit" when it was ready. Still never received a phone call from her. Finally came into the store and it took them 15 minutes to find my piece. Will go elsewhere for framing in the future. read more

Making a very long story involving a RUDE cashier short, cashier would not honor 30% off coupon good for ONLY THAT DAY. Said it had expired. Merely shrugged shoulders when we showed her in writing that coupon was indeed good for that day. We left merchandise on counter, left, and will not be back. read more
