Their pottery is more unusual and the results are stunning. We painted a plate, a tile and some Halloween decorations and it was a good enough price. I went to Hobby Lobby today to get some silk flowers for a Fall arrangement for my front door. All…read moreof their Fall items are on sale for 40% off. I picked out several silk bushes that were perfect for my design. I needed a few more items for filler, so was looking around through the regular silk flowers. They had lots of signs that those items were 50% off. I spent about an hour shopping and was very pleased with my selections. I got in line to pay with my on-line coupon. I knew the coupon was good only on items not on sale. I had a piece of Styrofoam that was not on sale, so the cashier applied the coupon to that item. The last 2 items she was going to ring were the two "not Fall" silk pieces. She told me they were not on sale. I explained that there were lots of 50% off signs in that area, so she called someone in the department. A lady came, looked at what I had selected, and went to check. She was gone and gone and gone. Finally, she calls and says those 2 pieces are not on sale. The cashier asked her to come up and get me to show me what was on sale and what was not. I walked back to the flowers because I knew where I had picked them up and where the signs were located. SURPRISE! No signs!!! She walked up and said those are not on sale, but they might be next week. I told her I was just going to buy nothing and she said OK. "OK"??? What kind of customer service is that? I walked up to the cashier and told her she could void the order because I was going to get nothing....her response was OK also! Wow, folks, your marketing and customer service is horrible! My bill would have been between $60 and $70. It's good to know your business is so great that you can afford to lose that type of sale!!

This was the place--they really know their stuff-- offered suggestions for mat color, whether we wanted it 'weighted' (just slightly more border on the bottom so the print sits), and then walked us through various frame options. Both listened to us and made good suggestions. We even discussed whether to splurge on less-reflective glass (we did for one print, not the other given where they live on the wall). They did a beautiful job. This is the only place I would go--the front store full of fake flowers isn't our thing (though they do have live plants and nice pots), but the framing shop is independent, been around a long time, and really know what they are doing.

I went in tonight to pick up a ship to store order that I had forgotten about. I received only 1…read morecall that it was ready and had been lost in my voicemail. I walked in, apologized that I hadn't picked it up. The employee was sharp, rude, and told me there was nothing he could do. It was gone. He then pulled 3 of the 4 glasses I had ordered off the shelf without me telling him what I had ordered, and told me if I wanted them, I would need to repurchase them. I had never received a refund for the items, which is why I went to pick them up, and I told him that was ridiculous that he had put what I had paid for back in their inventory without refunding me, and then telling me I had to pay for it again, seeming to know exactly what I ordered. He said of course he knew because he was the one who opened the box and put it back on the shelf. He begrudgingly called his manager, cussing at his phone while dialing, and she told him to give me my items without charging me, however, they had sold one of my glasses, so I had to replace it with something I didn't order, or really want. This whole situation could have been avoided if they had made a 2nd reminder call or just refunded me properly once the order wasn't picked up. Terrible customer service. I'm so disappointed, because I love Hallmark.

Free and ample parking for everyone! We were happily surprised to find the store larger than it used to be. They finished an expansion this last fall that allowed them to expand space for large board game tournaments and swaps. Really love the board game library free to play from as well. Plenty of space to bring friends and hang out. The friendly cashier mentioned that they are working on a partnership with the local Whimsy Tea Company to serve their DnD themed teas in the shop while folks are playing. This shop has almost everything you could want in the way of games, supplies and figurines and all at great prices. Games are sold at or below MSRP which makes the choice easy to support them. Stuff on Amazon is rarely cheaper. We bought a small card game for some friends and went on our way, but this shop will always be a stop for us while we are in Springfield.
