It's very nicely set up, the staff is friendly and welcoming and it's overall a great vibe! We walked in and were given a table but soon enough they had to start turning people away so I would suggest a reservation on the weekends! It is pretty pricey but I'm okay with that for the experience and atmosphere there :) I painted a vase and my daughter painted a corgi and it was $100 before tax. There is a sitting fee for each person painting and then you choose your piece you want to paint which has its own price tag. There is so much to choose from I am sure anyone can find something in their budget! I personally really like the way they provide paint cups of the 5 colors you choose ( I think if you asked nicely they might let you have another color if you started painting and realized you needed another color). So it's not like we need painting trays or anything like at other paint studios! I can't wait to pick up our pieces after the glazing! We will be back to paint more treasures!

When one didn't glaze perfectly they invited us back to redo it at no cost. While we were doing this my teen signed up for one of their sculpting classes and it was amazing. The Country Peddlers Shop was our last stop on our Wedding Anniversary Antique store run; we got…read morethere at 440p (they close at 5p) and were met with a locked door. A man outside said, 'sorry we are closed'.. Looking bewildered and mentioning the time (again 440p) we told him that we live an hour and a half away and that it was our wedding anniversary, and his response 'ohhhhh no'.. No explanation as to why he closed a full 20+ minutes early (he was already outside and getting into his truck) nor an offer to open up for the final 20 minutes; then he got in his truck and left. Will be reporting this to the Illinois Antique Association, as that's the shop guide we followed for the day. To keep this shop in your pamphlet is an immense disservice to those using it!
