They gave me a date and time for delivery and my adult son was home all afternoon on the delivery day and we have 2 dogs that go absolutely crazy with barking when anyone even walks up the sidewalk to our house and no one came. They said they were there but they did not leave a notice on our door which the head Ashley office said they would have done if they had been there. I called the manager for the store, I believe Damian was his name, and he was the rudest most obnoxious, unprofessional person I have ever experienced in my 72 yrs. He even hung up on my son. He would not even listen to me or let me explain my side but kept running his mouth saying we were lying and wouldn't even let me speak. I can definitely see why they are going out of business. There was no way they would even work with me to compromise but insisted that to get the sofa which i had already paid for I would have to pay another $180 to get it delivered so that would have been $360 for delivery that I had already paid for.

The painting and re-purposing work is sloppy and they don't spend much time or energy on the finishing. (Anybody can chalk paint. The art is in the finishes, waxes, etc.). And the ideas weren't all that unique. To top it off, the prices are ridiculously high. The pieces they have are those that sell at auctions for almost nothing, and they'll slap a $395 price tag in it. There are better re-purposing stores. I'd recommend finding one of them. We wanted one with a "living edge" This week we requested the mantle be delivered to our job site. But we were told they couldn't find the mantle but that they would deliver an equivilant. The one they delieved appeared to be one made of pine. Upon seeing it, both my wife and I said it was unacceptable and not remotely what we ordered. I returned the mantle to Springfield Reclaimed. The owner insisted that is what we ordered. (Sorry, but we KNOW what we ordered.) He agreed to custom make an oak piece and deliver it by Friday morning. Our contractor was waiting for it Friday morning but it was never delivered. Repeated phone calls to the business were not returned. Finally, that afternoon, someone was sent to the store to pick up what they had promised to deliver. We are pleased with the workmanship of the mantle. But Springfield Reclaimed needs to work on: communication, inventory management and delivery.

When we first moved here, we lived in a rental home while searching for a home to buy. We still needed a few things, like new office chairs, to work on our PCs during this time. We found two nice chairs, both under$20.00 each, that would have been $85-$125, at a brand new office supply store. After we found our Dream Home last month, we realized we wanted to see what they had regarding living room furniture. We hit the jackpot! A local furniture store had donated some brand-new sofas and matching love seats. The style and color went perfectly with our new living room. Needless to say, we bought them. We also scored a three piece coffee and end table set made of metal with beveled glass tops. To top it off, my husband found a new office desk! Our total is with a discount of over 25 %...under $250.00. Yes, we had to rent a U-haul truck; this put our grand total under $300.00. It is late, and our cat is snoozing on the sofa, so I will have to add pictures in a day or two. Those of you who have not checked this place out should do so if you like good deals.

They did a beautiful job. This is the only place I would go--the front store full of fake flowers isn't our thing (though they do have live plants and nice pots), but the framing shop is independent, been around a long time, and really know what they are doing.
