I am in this Michaels nearly every week, and since Thanksgiving, multiple times a week. I find the shelves fully stocked, well organized, and clean. The staff is helpful, even when the store is crowded a everyone seems to have a question. Special shout out to the framing staff, who went above and beyond to help my husband and I complete a couple of framing projects by cutting mats and a print, even though they were dealing with all the Christmas madness. This store is large so my selection of items was also large. I found plenty of circuit crafting items at a great price. Also picked up some canvas bags so I can apply decals. Michaels isn't close to my home so when I'm in the immediate area I try to stop in and check out the knew suppliers for the jewelry making section, yarn and then I peruse the clearance sections. I must say I've always managed to find something to buy and very rarely do I leave empty handed! Here's a nonus tidbit of information...They accept competitor's coupons!!!! So of the drawbacks to shopping here though, the aisle are relatively small and they store true to display and carry so much stuff which can be exciting at times but it can also be a trun off. Too much stuff makes the store look junky! They need a bigger space. The staff isn't always welcoming and almost invisible when you need assistance. The lines are often long and the pricing is slightly higher than their local competitor. read more

I went there to get a picture frame. They told me it has to be custom. They said they have 70% off. Cool! Then I was told the sale price. $150 for a $25 picture, wow! Then I thought if that's 70% off, then the normal price is $500. What kind of scam is that. Just terrible service. read more

We were dragged in here by our uber-artistic 7 year old and while there we got 4 pairs of fabric scissors (for $5 - SWEET), some fabric, embroidery thread, trimmings and a make-yyour-own "American Girl" style doll dress. We though we were done when the "demo lady" (sweet as could be) who was cleaning up a beading workshop announced that they had free "make your own" head bands. So we made some. Free. Time killer - and fun for the kiddos. You can also rent the party roon ($50) to have a crafts party for up to 15 kids. We'll think about this. Michael's is just ok. Its got all of the basic craft stuff covered. Kids school project supplies, yarn, paint, paper crafts, and cake decorating supplies are all there. The store is organized, but it's hard to find help when you need it. My biggest complaint is in the paper/scrapbook section they are always changing what they carry - I went in looking for some Martha Stewart supplies and they dont have her stuff anymore. The stamp department is much smaller, and some of the jewelry has been swapped out for other brands. If you find something that you like you'd better stock up because it will likely be discontinued in a month. read more

They have everything you need from painting supplies, wood and wood stain, scrap booking, jewelry making and holiday crafts. I'm never disappointed when I come here. I placed an online order for 3 things and it took over 2 hours this is ridiculous and I am never going back there

On there website it advertised that if you place a store pick up order before 5pm then you can pick it up same day. That is a LIE. I placed my order at 230 when I called at 530 they where rude , one lady told me that store pick up is not even her department she just has to handle them, then she proceeded to tell me my order wasn't even started and that they'll PROBABLY email me the next morning. I'm just annoyed at the fact that the website lied . And then when i called customer service they where no help. She told me my order wasn't even showing up in the system as anything excepted "placed" lmao like what. Very unorganized and I'm sticking with AC Moore. Better prices there anyway and the people are always more than helpful. read more

I decided to hang up and call back when I was hung up on 4 times. That is unacceptable and nothing short of rude and inappropriate. I fully plan to discuss this matter with a manager. Typically, I love this store! However we went in today to pick up a few items - and the store was in a chaotic mess!!! I understand it was an inventory day, but that sort of work should be done during non-business hours. Shelves were blocked, entire aisles un passable and confusing prices/sales signs. It may surprise viewers to know that there are MANY knitters and crochet hobbyists in the Jax area; being one of them, my complaint is with the yarn department. Michael's has consistently downgraded their yarn selection over the past few years, forcing their shoppers to move on to Hobby Lobby or make the drive to Joann Fabric. Michael's yarn bins are frequently poorly stocked but on my trip there today it seemed as if they are closing out the department, the counters were so bare. Or is it that they cannot keep up with demand, especially on sale days? They have also reduced brand variety so, again, it is off to Joann's. Honoring other's coupons is great but not when product supply is so limited. read more
