I'm glad to find a pizza place which is brave enough to have anchovies on their house pizza. That,…read morepaired with the olives makes for a salty pizza, but I do love salty. Great dough, excellent dough cooked perfectly. To be honest, one of the best non-wood fire pizzas I've ever had. The chicken in tomato sauce pasta was less of a tomato based sauce and was more like a butter chicken from your Indian takeaway. The fact that my wife used her worst pasta experience as a way to justify that it's not a terrible dish was a real red flag. She had to force it down. The desert was a great finish. Sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream allowed for a perfected mixture of hot and cold. Allowing each spoon full of ice cream to melt over the steaming pudding creating a river of creamy gold.

FOOD My friend and I both got small pizza's ($13). Perfect size for one person. She went with the seafood pizza and I went with the three sisters (when in Katoomba try to eat the 'localised pizza's :p). Three sister's pizza was basically chicken, avocado and fresh tomato. I found the chicken to be a tad dry and the pizza base not as soft and doughy as I normally like. Both pizza's could have used a bit more sauce on the pizza base as well. The deserts made up for my disappointment with the pizza. My friend ordered the chocolate pudding with hazelnut gelato drizzled with chocolate sauce and I got the sticky date pudding with hazelnut gelato and butterscotch sauce. The chocolate pudding was super rich. Chocolate intensity that a chocolate lover myself even questioned if I could've finished it. My friend however absolutely loved it! The sticky date pudding was perfect. Soft, warm with the right amount of butterscotch sweetness to accompany it. OVERALL With really only one main road in Katoomba you choices for food are limited to this stretch of road. Next time I think I'd be inclined to head further down the street in search of something better.

We dropped in on an early Sunday evening (around 6:30pm) to find a busy, lively restaurant. There's a couple tables outside to sit at but they were all taken. A bit odd that you order at the counter and pay right away when there are servers working. Note: they charge 10% weekend and public holiday surcharge. The menu is quite large with options of fresh bread, salad, soup, entree, crépes, pasta, from the oven, meats (beef, steaks and chicken), risotto, pizza and desserts. Pizzas come in three sizes ($14.00 AUD small, $18.00 AUD medium and $26.00 AUD family). - Caesar salad ($17.80 AUD) - cos lettuce, anchovies, bacon and croutons in a creamy dressing. The croutons are not your normal croutons. They were like stale puffed pieces of bread. Anchovies was the best part of this salad but it's a pretty meagre portion. Way overpriced for what you get. - Macho supreme ($18.00 AUD medium) - ham, prawns, bacon, pineapple, cabanossi, mushrooms, onion, capsicum, anchovies, olives and oregano. A medium is 11" and you get 8 pieces total. The pizza looks a bit small for a medium but it was enough to satiate the two of us. The thickness of the slices was satisfying and had a good crust to it too. My favourite part was the prawns. Will have to try the pasta next time and forgo being healthy ordering salad. Pizza won't blow you away but it's above average.
