I've been a patient of Dr Brown since my children were born. My son is now 33 years old. Over the last few years I've become more and more unhappy with Dr. Brown as she is so judgmental and negative but I didn't change because I was used to her. When she called to remind me of my last annual she told me that if I wasn't vaccinated(I'm not) I would need to take a covid test in order to visit office (4/22). I said i was too busy with Tax season to do that and asked to reschedule but no one called to do that. Forward to today (5/22) - I'm leaving on vacation in 2 days and I need a prescription that I must take twice a day, every day!! I ran out on Friday. I called today to make sure she called it in - its very important that I take this EVERY day. The nurse told me that she wouldn't refill it because I didn't have my annual exam. I explained that I was leaving on vacation and needed enough meds to get through the next 10 days. I said I would make an appointment when I got back. The nurse told me she could authorized 7 days of the medication. When I told her that I wouldn't be back for 10 days she said "Too Bad". She said to get the medication from a different doctor if I needed it so badly. So after being a patient of this "Doctor" for over 33 YEARS she wouldn't give me a prescription to cover me for 10 Days!!! Luckily I already went to a new Gynecologist and was able to get the prescription from her. I should never stayed with Michele all these years!! She is a Horrible doctor and a worse human being! I found Dr. Brown and her office to be totally professional. I like that when I have my annual gynecological exam, she observes non-gyn issues (skin, respiratory) and makes suggestions. read more

Dr. Brown is very much the traditional obstetrician from days past- she takes her time, she's thorough, smart, gets you very well tucked in, makes you feel safe, confident about putting your health in her hands and totally welcome!! Her office are awesome, too! And the location is serene- the ambience is very calming. There wasn't the usual chaos of people rushing you in/out or not knowing what's or who's where. I have read a lot of reviews on Dr. Browns office. Most of them are not that positive. When I first went there after moving to Stamford from NYC I was not that impressed with the Nurse Christina. I have never felt as uncomfortable interacting with someone as I have with her. She is completely negative- takes jabs at her peers (Dr. Brown) and is frustrating to converse with. In my experience as a patient of hers she is one of those people that is very intelligent but has no social filter. She makes sarcastic, unnecessary comments and has an underlying defensive tone about her. Stay away from this office if you are looking for good bedside manner and a positive experience in general. read more

Dr. Browns office is unprofessional. I never felt comfortable with Dr. Brown and never felt like she was really looking out for my interests, especially when I was considering different types of birth control. It was unclear of her actual knowledge of the different choices because she only really pushed toward one drug to me, that I was uncomfortable with taking (beyaz). At times, she did not seem like she knew what she was talking about when I mentioned other general women's health concerns I read about online. When informing me about other issues/concerns, she gave me incorrect information (as I read about it later online and asked my current gynecologist). After finally transferring to a new gynecologist and transferring my records from Dr. Brown, the new gynecologist found that my recent records from Dr. Brown was missing vital information that delayed my future vaccinations, ex. leaving out actual dates when I took the HPV vaccine. What kind of doctor would leave out that kind of information on a health record? Like I said, highly unprofessional. read more

Dr. Brown is the worst doctor ever. Outside of her horrible, arrogant, & negative attitude, she almost let my baby & myself die. I complained for weeks I wasn't feeling well. I explained all of my symptoms repeatedly, only to be dismissed. When I delivered, in an emergency c-section, they determined I had preeclampsia & HELLP syndrome. By the grace of God, my baby & I are doing well.She totally missed the diagnosis. To top it off, after I delivered, she didn't come back to check on me for my entire 7 day hospital stay. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. She is nasty & negligent. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Brown for over 15 years and am surprised at the negative comments I have read. As a senior woman of 72 years, I have only had very positive experiences with Dr. Brown and her office staff. Dr. Brown has been knowledgeable, caring and thorough. During my annual exam, she goes over everything that was an issue previously in my general health and often makes useful and pertinent suggestions. I have always found her to be very professional and easy to talk to. I would recommend her without reservation. read more

Beware!!!!! This doctor does not pay real attention to her patients. This office seems primarily concerned with billing rather than treating. Furthermore, the doctor is exceptionally overactive and as such induces tremendous unnecessary stress on her patients especially if pregnant. Have entirely no bedside matter. The worse is that her rather extreme and absolute decisions are taken not in the interest of the patient but merely to avoid malpractice suits or for other legal reasons which should make you wonder. I have been a patient of Dr. Brown's for many years, and have always felt comfortable and cared for by the Doctor and her entire team. Echoing a previous reviewer: I especially like that Dr. Brown considers my whole health profile, and makes appropriate referral suggestions as needed. In the one instance a few years ago when I had a gynecological emergency, Dr. Brown was able to see me right away and took immediate steps to address the issue, to my and my family's great relief. Dr. Brown's office illegally debited my HSA card. I did sign a release, but I wrote on it "do not use without my prior authorization" and they did anyways. I never received a bill in the mail nor a phone call. She did not even have the decency to advise me, let alone have my authorization, before she debited my bank account. Shady! read more

Dr Brown's office is probably the most unprofessional doctors office I have ever visited. Let's begin with her staff who due to the lack of enclosed office space shout patients personal information back and forth to one another. The waiting room located directly to the right of the open office and is the perfect place for you to hear everyone's private business. Dr Brown herself is a "nice person" I suppose, however she is only out for your money not your health. Pretty concerning considering she's a doctor who is suppose to be helping women. For example she pushed for me to take a birth control(Beyaz) with known horrific side effects all because she had a bunch of free samples. She did not take time to listen to me as I exampled I was fearful of this specific brand and wanted to try something different. Later when I returned for prenatal care her staff would ask me the most unprofessional questions about my pregnancy, such as "how are your parents taking this news?" Although this was a surprise pregnancy I found this to not only be rude and invasive but extremely unprofessional. My body, my choice! When I finally attempted to leave the office they hit me with the most absurd fees for leaving halfway through my pregnancy. For me to obtain my medical records from them I had to pay a large fee, something my new doctors office has told me is not necessary but specifically to make a profit. This doctor was more worried about making a dime off me rather than being concerned that her patient did not feel comfortable at her office and because of this was leaving. Avoid this place at all costs and find a doctor who actually listens and cares for YOU the patient not just their wallet! read more
