She did an incredible job of suggesting an easy care cut and blonde highlights. I was over the moon about the results! The salon is small, but clean and neat. I later into the appointment found out her name is Diane, and that she is one of the owners. Nina, my Hairdresser, also told me how amazing she is and how much she enjoys working there. That makes for an amazing work environment and happy employees; which is exactly what I witnessed in my day spent there getting my major hair transformation. I entered looking like Cousin IT, and left feeling like a Victoria's Secret Angel struttin' down the runway. Nina gave me the Victoria's Secret model hair of my dreams! I hadn't had my hair cut or colored in 6 years due to moving away and being terrified to let anyone else touch my mane of hair! Nina had been the last/only person I had entrusted my tresses to since finding her on social media a few years prior. I am a perfectionist and obsess over everything- the moment I met her and she basically introduced herself saying those exact words- I knew it was a match made in the hair heavens. The girl knows what she's doing and then some! I finally moved back to the area ( I drive 65 miles each way Just for her! ) and it was time to let her work her magic. A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A-!-!-! The big reveal...I didn't know if I should laugh, cry, hug her or propose... I was just so overwhelmed with emotions and disbelief of what I was seeing...hair that beat my expectations a million times over. Tell me the last time that happened to you...( I'm gonna guess NEVER!!!) I had SUPER THICK, curly, crazy, booty length VIRGIN hair when I sat in her chair - I left with blonde balayage/ babylights and about a foot of length cut off. There's so many tones of blonde and hints of lilac/violet that I just can't capture all the hues and tones in the bazillion pictures I've taken since. Look at the pictures for yourself- there's #NOFILTER needed. Only pure talent and magic at the hands of Ms. Nina Clark The Hair Goddess. She isn't about rushing customers in and out- her goal is getting it right and making sure it's what you want and that you're happy. She's truly an amazing stylist/colorist and all around person. I walked out of the salon like I was walking on air; or maybe that was just all the volume from the fabulous blow out lifting me up to the heavens. It's been two weeks and I am still looking in every mirror and reflective object I pass to catch a glimpse of my hair. What more proof do you need? On the way out there was a mix up with another client's bill being printed instead of mine and this became some sort of joke on me saying I wouldn't want to pay that bill, as if I couldn't afford it! Let's compare bank accounts-I bet I would win! The front desk person never asked me about a follow up appointment and when I booked originally never told me of an online appointment system if using a coupon. Boo--bad customer service. Heading back to my regular place to pay more and get better service!

My hair was looking shaggy and unruly, especially since it's experiencing its first New Jersey summer with humidity in a very long time. My hair is doing things to itself that involves gymnastic twists and curls. Time to get it tamed. I was grateful this place is open late on weekends. As a first timer, I was shown around the small studio and given the opportunity to use the restroom or enjoy a drink if needed. My stylist was very nice and listened to my preferences. It took a few tries to get the layered cut I wanted, but in the long run, I was happy with the final product.
