I have never colored my dark black hair before and I'm so glad I trusted Kayla to get the job done! She was very honest about how safely she could lift my hair, and after 2 sessions with her, she was able to get my hair from jet black to ashy bronde balayage. She is so careful and meticulous, making sure every strand is perfect. I totally recommend seeing her! In terms of COVID safety, they do a great job with spacing out chairs, taking your temp when you enter, filling out a detailed survey, and offering hand sanitizer. I managed to go make an appointment since their reviews were really good. This was my first time and I was a little nervous because I didn't know any of the stylists. Melissa did my hair and I was completely in love with my new hair change. She has a great hand at doing hair. She was delicate and careful with my hair throughout the whole process. She knows what she's doing and she gained my trust. Service is exceptional and the place is very pretty and modern. I've had bad experiences before with other salons , from the extra wet shirt , from color all over your face, the burning of your scalp from the blow dryer , etc. But this salon did an exceptional job with everything !!! I'm extremely opinionated when it comes to how my hair is cut & colored, and I've learned I really get in my own way by requesting colors that don't actually look good ON ME, even if they look great on some people. In short- I'm a nightmare customer, honestly. Yet- Janyra vastly, and I mean VASTLY exceeded my expectations. The really pivotal skill she has is looking at what you want, with the reality of the head of hair you actually have on your head- then comes to a happy medium. She looked at all my inspirational looks (very blonde, too blonde for my skin tone, my hair color, how often I plan to maintain it....) then she found a picture that was closer to an attainable color for me. One that I like on me waaaay more than the less dimensional blonde I requested. Janyra used that picture as her guide throughout the process. She took her time and did an AMAZING job. I have a huge amount of hair. I was happy when I left the salon, but I often change my mind after a day or two. It's been 2 months. 2 GD months. My husband said yesterday it still looks like it was just done. I still love it. I don't even live in the area but I will definitely come back to have my hair done by Janyra. (I don't even need to mention that she's really nice and she has a great calm energy, she just seems great altogether!). I can't recommend this salon and specifically Janyra enough. I moved to Philadelphia from Kansas a few months ago. I was very nervous about finding a new stylist, as I had developed a deep relationship with my former stylist in Kansas. My first attempt at finding a stylist in Philadelphia was a bust. But thankfully my second attempt was very successful! After an extensive Google and Yelp review search, I kept coming back to Signature Salon. So I called them and made an appointment. The receptionist was super friendly and was able to get me a Saturday appointment with only a 1 week waiting time! I told her I have platinum blonde hair with a shadow root and needed some touch up maintenance. She assigned me to stylist, Kayla. When I got to the salon, I first drove past it! Lol so make sure you are paying close attention to when you need to turn into the parking lot! Anyway, I walked in, and the salon is pretty small, but has 6 or 7 stylists. It's a cute little shop! I checked in and Kayla was out right away to start working on me. I explained my hair history and showed her my hair goal photo. She told me our first session would be more labor intensive because she needed to get rid of some of my existing uneven parts, but she would be able to get my hair the way I wanted it. I appreciated that she told me, but also cringed a bit because I knew I was going to be sitting in that chair for a really long time! Anyway, Kayla went straight to work. She is able to work quickly and still maintain an engaging conversation! We got along really well! During our session, she bleached my roots down to mid-ends. Then she went in and hand painted in a shadow root, before finally doing an icy toner. She is incredibly talented! Hand painting a shadow root on top of bleached hair is incredibly difficult to do without accidentally getting some dark on the light in places it shouldn't be. But somehow she managed to do it perfectly! As we were getting close to being done, Kayla told me how our next session would be so much easier. I had told her that I actually like my natural root color, and asked if it would be possible to keep it but just do the blonde. She said it most certainly would be and it would be much faster and simpler! Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my hair experience! I was so impressed with Kayla. I actually feel bad, but I think she is even better than my previous stylist from Kansas. She is crazy talented. She was able to do several processes to my hair and style it in under 3 hours, which was great! I usually spend at least 3.5 hours when I get my hair done. Considering all the processes, I would say this place is fairly priced. I spent about $260 before tip. But I know next time, it will not be nearly that much because we won't have to do the shadow root and glaze again. I highly recommend this place! Kayla is amazing! read more

I had a lot of fun at Signature Salon and very happy to have found them. I messaged with the owner, Janyra, thru Yelp and we got an appointment setup last week. I was looking for a partial highlights and a blow out. First off, it's a very easy location to get to, right on 70 in Cherry Hill, next to a huge diner and the parking lot has plenty of space. When you walk inside, you are greeted right away and you feel like you're stepping into a friend's house. Janyra was great to chat with during the highlighting process (how long she's owned the salon, family, her dog, tattoos..). We went with an ash blonde as I am not a fan of the gold my hair picks up, and that what it was when I walked in. I loved the energy from all the ladies here and how friendly they were with one another. Everything from the highlights to my hair being washed, a glaze being put on, I felt like a lot of care was going into it. Janyra gave me a couple of tips for styling, how to keep up the color and what shampoos to look for, along with some sample products. She threw in some curls at the end for fun and I absolutely loved the finished look. Price was pretty similar to what I have paid before at other salons. read more

I was very impressed with this salon, it is beautifully decorated, centrally located and the staff is amazing! I have very thick Puerto Rican hair and I normally go back "home" to get my hair done but that's 30 minutes away. Therefore, I am glad I found this salon. Paige did my hair, I made an appointment the day before and they were able to get me in. I was actually seen at my appointment time which is rare for hair salons! I was in and out in an hour. I got a cut, in layers, got my hair washed, blow dried and styled. It was by far the best hair salon experience I have ever had. And to top it off Paige worked well with my hair, I was pleasantly surprised and I my husband absolutely loved my hair. I went to a baby shower that day and everyone kept telling me they loved my hair. I felt gorgeous walking out and it was very reasonably priced. The one downside that I wish I would have known before is that tips are cash only so keep that in mind. I will definitely be returning. I historically do not enjoy the anticipation for a haircut. I'm a guy with thin hair who likes to have not really short or hip hairstyles. So...getting a haircut hasnt been a fun process for me...ever. Until now. So, I sent a yelp message with the owner, Janyra, to make an appointment and was referred to Melissa. i contacted the salon via yelp and they responded rather quickly for a same day haircutting appointment. I love the quick response and good communication. When it came time for a haircut i told the stylist i wanted to grow my hair out and wanted to have my hair layered and freshened up with the line of my hair in the back in a V shape. I also stated that i wanted her to cut what she needed but be mindful i wanted to grow my hair out. She commented that my hair was very healthy and continued to cut. long story short... no pun intended... i looked down and saw strands of cut hair that were 4-5 inches long. I'm disappointed that her version of letting my hair grow out was different from my version. i am also disappointed that even with all that hair cut, the back of my hair was straight across... no V shape. I probably wont return which is disappointing bc i was hoping to find a stylist in south jersey closer to home. read more

I went home and cried three times because that's how much I hated my hair, but didn't have the heart to say anything to the stylist. I was very specific about what I wanted, was immediately upfront about my pet peeves, brought in a picture and asked questions but nothing was delivered to what I asked. Therefore I would not feel comfortable having my color fixed by the same person in fear that they will once again, not deliver. I am completely devastated because I was so excited based on the reviews and it cost $155 not including tip. My roots are basically still the same color even after I asked if she would be evening it out (so from top to bottom I have 3 hair colors right now, my root color, a color that is a shade lighter with some reddish tones, and then the balayage... Which the only reason I even booked an appointment was because I needed to get my roots touched up along with the balayage) When I showed the picture of what I wanted I was told that it could be delivered but it was not until I asked myself if it would come out that color that I was told that it wouldn't. I was just told it would not come out as bright. I knew the balayage was not going to turn out the color I wanted but I hate the color it did come out and would have appreciated being "shown" the color it was going to come out because then I would have declined. I was told that my hair would not look copper but it looks more copper than before... I am just absolutely devastated and will have to spend extra money to fix it elsewhere. read more

The environment is pleasant and everyone is professional and polite. I have hard to manage blonde hair and they always pay attention to my concerns. The prices are average for Cherry Hill. While doing my hair she was taking her breaks in and out do the room to go have her lunch - so unprofessional. At the end, the owner said your total is $202 without any explanation of the prices. Signature salon is amazing. I made an appointment about 2 and half years ago with Paige. I found them based on their yelp reviews and on instagram where I was able to view photos of their work. I use to hop from stylist to stylist because I couldn't find someone consistent. My first experience was amazing. I left loving my hair. So I went back a second and third and so on. I have now been seeing Paige for over two years and I'm always happy with her work. She is consistent and friendly. She is also a true artist. I have spent hours in a chair and still left hating my mediocre cut and color. Paige is fast but you will leave loving your cut and color every time. She and the rest of the girls are clearly passionate about hair. Definitely worth a 5 star rating. read more

This salon is a piece of shit. Worse place i ever went. I don't see how they can have so many good reviews. I went in expecting a ombree, but i walked out with dark brown ends that aren't no where near being visible. (only when sun light in shinning down on me) I walked out 200 dollars short. Half of the stuff on the bill i didn't even ask for. The "stylist" doing my hair just kept adding and adding. I had no idea what was going on till i got billed. This place is a joke. The lady i had was super lazy and impatient. She wanted to go home. She only left the bleach on for like 5-10 minutes. I don't recommend this place to anybody.
