What can I even say? As a midwife, Michelle is who I trust to give specialized clinical lactation support to my clients. She is so kind, clear, gives humane advice, and she is affordable. She truly cares about her clients and conveys this by being honest with them and helping them make the changes they need to meet their lactation goals. In such a tender time for families, Michelle gets it and she communicates compassionately. As a mother, I have nothing but excellent things to say about Michelle. I had severe preeclampsia and was treated with magnesium for days and days. my milk hadn't come in when I was finally discharged from the hospital, and my baby was tiny and clearly not eating. Michelle was the first call I made when I got home, and she immediately took the time we needed to make sure I was feeding my baby enough. Her support was entirely via FaceTime (maybe fb messenger?) and without an in-person exam she was able to really nail down what was going on and turn it around quickly. She helped my support people know what to do as well which was huge. She was patient and reasonable and generous with her time when I put off the dang tongue tie revision for weeks too. (it worked wonders btw). Rosa is almost 2 now and still nursing and I still reach out to Michelle for help she helped me through exclusively pumping, supplementing with donor milk, tongue tie, lip tie, food sensitivities, early teething, "colic/constipation" (underfeeding), you name it we had to deal with it and Michelle knew exactly what to do. you're in excellent hands.

Michelle is an invaluable resource! Not only did she help my baby, but also me as a mom in postpartum. I am forever grateful for all her knowledge, compassion, and responsiveness. My newborn son fed every hour and breastfeeding was excruciatingly painful due to a tongue, lip, and cheek tie we didn't know he had. At 2.5-weeks-old he got only his tongue tie clipped by an ENT. After this, nothing improved. Breastfeeding was still completely painful. Once I found Michelle, everything changed. She came to our home and did a thorough full-body assessment. She provided us with a care plan complete with photos to help us better understand my son's issues. She found he had a posterior tongue tie that needed to be released (of which was not addressed by the ENT) and referred us to a pediatric dentist more specialized for tongue ties (Dr. Crutchfield at Rocklin Kids Dentist). The first feeding after the revision, breastfeeding was no longer painful. Michelle helped us all the way through recovery, into pumping prior to me going back to work, and all the little nuances in between. Without Michelle I would still be in excruciating pain. Either that or I would have had to end breastfeeding prematurely. I am so thankful for Michelle and all her guidance for my son and I. My only regret is not finding her sooner. read more

After struggling with breastfeeding and an under supply with my first baby, I decided to work with an in-home IBCLC for my second. This was one of the best decisions I made throughout pregnancy/newborn stage. Michelle came into our home to support our breastfeeding hopes, and she continued to provide support in the following weeks. She did a full evaluation and found my baby had a posterior tongue tie that isn't recognized by Kaiser--so when they evaluated her in the hospital after birth and told me she had no tongue tie, I assumed she didn't and that breastfeeding would be simple. Michelle came equipped with a variety of information and supplies, and helped us navigate this tricky situation. She supported us every step of the way and pivoted with us as we changed our goals and plans, while providing excellent information for various scenarios. This allowed us to make informed decisions that best fit our needs. I had a difficult time with my first accepting that breastfeeding wasn't going to work. This time, Michelle's support prevented me from a negative spiral and actually made me feel confident in my choices. She is such a warm and supportive presence to have alongside you as you navigate difficult stages of having a baby. I wish I had hired her to help support us with our first. I can't recommend her enough! read more

Michelle is so knowledgeable and so kind. If you're looking for someone to solve your lactation problem, Michelle is your girl. Michelle is amazing, I am so glad we found her. We were having sudden feeding issues with our 4 week old toward the end of the week and I was stressed about finding help before the weekend. I contacted Michelle in the morning and we had an in-home appointment scheduled for 1pm the same day! She was professional, caring, and knowledgeable. Her recommendations worked so well for my baby and she was back to eating normally by that night. I can't recommend Michelle enough. read more

Michelle is a saint. She supported me and my newborn through tongue and lip tie surgery and get him to learn how to use his new tongue to successfully breastfeed. Before her, it was extremely painful and frustrating, not transferring enough milk and lack of weight gain Now we are pain free and getting full feeds and gaining weight accordingly ! She was super easy to make an appointment with and she's always responsive to my messages. The amount of knowledge she was able to relay to my husband and i was SO appreciated and have her to thank for our breastfeeding success story ! read more

Michelle is the best there is for lactation support and education. She is kind, empathetic, and incredibly well educated/experienced. I nursed my first baby for 2 years and sought support for latch and bottle rejection issues from a lactation clinic, so I have seen several IBCLCs. When I had my second child in 2021 I felt like I would rather "figure it out" than seek help with the new issues I was having (shallow latch, bottle/pacifier rejection, snacking). I struggled. I felt even more shame and postpartum depression than I had with my first child because I felt like I should be capable since I am not a first-time mama. I finally decided to swallow my pride and reach out to Michelle based on her gleaming reviews. She was warm and understanding from the moment I opened up to her about my struggles. I assumed it was wasted time because my son was already 9 months old and had developed habits and preferences but I made an appointment for her to come assess and it was one of the best mama decisions I have ever made. She was right on time and had an organized suitcase with all of her necessary supplies. I was blown away! Every tool that was at my disposal in the fully equipped clinic was now available in the comfort of my own living room. Freshly postpartum mamas hear me: it is a HUGE benefit to have someone come to your home. You are calmer, therefore baby is calmer. I remember the screaming on the way to the clinic with my first child. By the time I was supposed to sit quietly and nurse my baby while a professional observed I was already riddle with anxiety and stress - needless to say it wasn't representative of how we nurse in the comfort of our home. Michelle was professional and she choreographed our session beautifully to tend to my needs while maintaining the ability to observe and educate me. She didn't talk at me or down to me - she was warmly offering tips/tricks and resources to improve the experience for my son and I. Here is the magic ---- I had tried every recommended tip/trick from the internet and my previous experience with lactation support but my son had NEVER in 9 months accepted a bottle. This mama was tired. After Michelle assessed my sons oral anatomy and observed his latch technique/style. She went into her suitcase of tools and grabbed a bottle (from her large selection) and said "I think he will like this one". I was not optimistic but I filled it with milk and POOF! Her spell was successful! He not only liked it on the first try but he has continued to accept breastmilk from the particular bottle that she recommended. LADIES! In summary.... this mama just gained a little freedom! I could go on and on... but if you are still reading this. STOP everything you are doing, stop trying to navigate the incredibly emotional and challenging journey of breastfeeding alone. Michelle is the most incredible team mate that can support you along the way! Thank you Michelle! read more

Hire Michelle now!!! 4 days post partum I was bawling my eyes out at 3am because the breastfeeding pain was SO intense. Blisters and bleeding were now causing me severe stress and horrendous pain every time my perfect and beautiful baby would latch on, followed with a deep burning sensation for the duration of her feeding. It was more than I could handle. In absolute desperation I reached out to Michelle and she graciously rearranged her schedule to come for a visit the next day. I'm going to be honest, I didn't have a lot of hope that I would get improvement. I had never used a lactation consultant before (this was my 3rd child) and so I didn't know that some of them are total miracle workers! She came over and her demeanor was so relaxing and calm. She did a full assessment on my sweet baby and then observed me nursing. She gave a few simple and easy tips that showed me how to get my baby's latch to deepen and relieve some of the nursing pain. Along with some other guidance I felt pretty excited by the end of the visit that maybe I would get some relief soon. Within 2 days of following her advice the blisters were healing. Within 4 days the blisters were completely gone and I was nursing without breaking out in a sweat! By day 5 I was actually enjoying watching my sweet baby nurse! Truly, Michelle is gifted in her line of work. I would absolutely recommend her to any mama I know! Don't hesitate! Get the relief you need so you can nourish your baby without tears read more

I highly recommend working with Michelle. I believe she has all the great qualities that make an amazing IBCLC. She is so kind and is very supportive. I feel that she goes above and beyond to help and guide you through your breastfeeding journey. She has a lot of experience and knowledge about oral ties and is able to create a plan of action to get to your breastfeeding goals. I feel she genuinely cares and she makes you feel comfortable and to me, that is really important about choosing an IBCLC. read more

I have been really impressed with and grateful for Michelle! I live a few hours away and was a little nervous about our needs being met via zoom and emails, but Michelle has made it easy! My daughter was getting so fussy during her evening feeds and I had no idea why. Michelle was able to deduce what the issue was and came up with solutions for us to implement, being "with" us every step of the way. She answered my (many) questions in a timely manner, and is incredibly knowledgeable, explaining all the details and giving information I would've never known otherwise. I'm really thankful to have found her! read more

Michelle was amazing!!! She is so knowledgeable. I called her in a panic the day I got home from the hospital with my newborn. Michelle came to our home the next day and confirmed a tongue tie (doctors said she didn't have one). After our visit, Michelle sent us SO much information to help us move forward with feeding. We ending up taking our newborn to a chiropractor she recommended. That was a fabulous experience as well. Now I'm exclusively breastfeeding with ease! read more

Pregnant with my second daughter, I was feeling more confident about my ability to breast feed. I figured second time around- lessons learned from my first etc. Nope! Fast forward 6 days postpartum to me crying in the Safeway parking lot waiting for them to open so I could buy formula. 3 friends recommended Michelle, and I'm so glad they did! Michelle was warm, calm, encouraging and thorough. She asked appropriate questions, helped me set goals, provided wonderful guidance/tips, and provided a much more thorough exam of my daughters mouth. She identified a tie that was not seen in the hospital. The care plan provided after my appointment was very detailed and easy to follow which is great when you are sleep deprived! Bonus is you can pay for her services with your FSA or HSA. She is wonderful!! read more

I would give her more than 5 starts if I could. I am a third time mom. I thought I was a pro by now. I met her just once. There were several reasons why I would highly recommend her in a heart beat. 1. I was in the middle of my story when she already knew the issue and the solution. 2. She followed up with a detailed email and tons of references, YouTube links and guidance 3. She has been in touch with me for past two weeks and never refused to answer any question 4. My son needed a frectonomy around week 8. We had to closely monitor his weight. She analyzed his numbers in great detail, much more than I had anticipated 5. Her multiple email replies were always within 6 hours. She works round the clock. 6. All of the above when she is pregnant herself!! Prior to meeting Michelle, I had met Eve three times (Midtown Lactation Consultants) and I can not thank her enough for her contributions and her timely intervention in my feeding pattern. However I felt Michael had wayyyyy much more to contribute than ever. Though I am thankful to both Eve and Michelle, I highly highly highly recommend Michelle. read more
I first contacted Michelle when my son was only three days old and we were struggling with breastfeeding. She was able to come to my home the following morning (a Saturday, no less). The care she gave us was comprehensive, calm, and supportive. She gave us a detailed care plan and took her time to get to know us and assess my baby. She's been back in our home to help me through a plugged milk duct (again, on a weekend). She's pretty much the only healthcare professional I would turn to for parenting advice as well. Michelle is just a nice person and we are thankful for her continued support through our breastfeeding journey! She is exactly the person you want helping you when you're feeling exhausted, emotional, and confused. Call her if you need help! read more

In a moment of exhaustion not uncommon with a new baby I reached out to Michelle because I needed help with breastfeeding. My son, just 7 days old, was wearing my nipples out and as an experienced mom of 3 other children I knew I alone couldn't fix his latch. Michelle responded to my call within an hour and was at my house just 3 hours later. She was a welcome sight and her timing perfectly corresponded with a feeding so we got right to work. In addition to showing me a new technique she found that my little guy wasn't eating as much as we had previously thought so her attention to detail was more needed than I thought. If your looking to get meaningful help from a professional do not hesitate to ask Michelle. You will not regret it. read more

I was referred to Michelle from another IBCLC. Breastfeeding was something I was determined to do with my second son (my first experience with breastfeeding was a nightmare and didn't last long). While I was able to get my son to latch properly, he wasn't gaining weight the way his pediatrician had hoped. Enter Michelle. While my son was a bit of a conundrum (hard to figure out why he was slow at gaining weight) it was very reassuring to have an expert watch me feed my son, check for any abnormalities with his tongue, and tell me that I was doing everything correctly. After our appointment, she emailed me a care plan, including links to websites that had methods to try and improve his sucking, and various information that was pertinent to my son. Michelle has been following up with me with weight checks, and everything seems to be going great - I have been working on some sucking exercises with him and it is improving his nursing abilities. She cares about her clients and their children, and has a very calming demeanor. Thanks so much for your help Michelle! read more

Michelle was a big help with establishing a great nursing relationship with my second born this fall! She was able to see us within just a couple days of requesting a consultation and she came to our home which was so nice! Michelle is very thorough and provided a complete care plan via email for reference. Michelle helped us with latching technique and positioning and included important information on healing my already damaged nipples. She relieved my concerns about tongue and lip ties by doing a thorough examination of baby's mouth. And I really appreciated her doing a pre and post feed weighing so I could see that baby was in fact getting enough milk. Recently, I have had some additional concerns come up and Michelle got back to me via email within hours with helpful insight and resources. Michelle was an absolute lifesaver when we came out of the hospital and we were having trouble with breastfeeding. She is such a calming presence and none of her guidance is overwhelming or preachy. She is incredibly responsive which is so important when you are trying so hard to feed your newborn!!! She is also organized and clear, and gives these great care plans so you don't have to rely on preggo mom brain to remember everything. She has the right mix of procedure and measurement and science balanced with the human element, thinking of the two of us and what works for you and baby. She also referred us to a terrific ENT doctor who helped us with baby's tongue tie. This made breastfeeding/latching much easier for us (and less painful). Just can't thank Michelle enough for her help. read more

We have a 10 day old jaundice baby. He was mutilating my nipples. Breastfeeding was the hardest thing for me... I had anxiety attacks every time I had to feed him. To flush jaundice out, I had to feed him every hour. I was at my wits end and I contacted Michelle through a referral of a friend. SHE SAVED US She determined our child was tongue tied and that he was manipulating my nipples because he couldn't properly move his tongue to latch. She gave me the tools I needed to properly feed him. Not only did she give me tools but she gave me emotional support and encouragement when I was about to throw in the towel. I highly recommend her! I can now exclusively breastfeed my baby, his jaundice is going away and when I go to feed him I don't dread it. If you are considering the fact that you might need help, you probably do. Do yourself a favor and don't wait! Contact Michelle, I promise you won't regret it read more

Michelle has been a wonderful aid in helping our newborn baby to be healthy. When our son was born, my wife had trouble with feeding. Our baby would become agitated and my wife discouraged after each feeding. This soon became a downward spiral that was leaving everyone exhausted and exasperated with our hopes of doing things "naturally" out of reach. We contacted Michelle and she came by to evaluate our baby and immediately found some issues that could be worked through and others that needed specialist attention. I felt uncertain of what our baby needed, and so I was initially skeptical of Michelle's advice, but I've come to realize that her expertise in the area of lactation is unmatched. She figured out right away that our baby had a "tongue tie" and put us in contact with a specialist who performs frenectomy laser surgery. Moreover, she has also helped my wife with advice on diet, different breast pumps, feeding schedules, and generally learning about how to be a good parent. I have seen my wife go from exhausted and deeply discouraged about breast feeding to being at peace in Michelle's presence and hopeful about our prospects of breastfeeding our son. I can't praise Michelle enough as she has given us peace of mind about the early stages of raising a child and has gone above and beyond our expectations for a lactation consultant. Thank you, Michelle! read more

Met Michelle today just now, and my life has changed. It's been 6 months of bloody nipples, milk blebs, thrush, yeast, mastitis, low supply...not sure if I forgot anything else. Michelle checks my baby's mouth and tells me there's a tongue tie. Kaiser had mentioned that Micaela had a possible tongue when she was a day old. I've had multiple Lactation Consultant Appts at Kaiser, asked about her possible tongue tie, they said no. I seriously had no idea what I was doing wrong, breastfeeding was so natural with my first, a breeze, at the beginning of course we both had to learn it, but our breastfeeding lasted as long as a year and a half when he was no longer interested in breastfeeding. With my second everything that could go wrong went wrong, I had no idea why so I thought that the pain was normal and that's just how it was going to be, got used to it and it became my new normal. Breastfeeding is the most natural thing a woman can do, if you are having any type of difficulty see Michele, there shouldn't be any sort of discomfort any sort of doubt, this is what our bodies were meant to do. Thank you so much Michelle read more

We are so incredibly grateful for Michelle's expertise. She was kind, professional, and thorough. We bombarded her with all of our concerns and she patiently addressed everything we wanted to discuss. Michelle followed up with us in the following days to make sure we were progressing, make sure we had ordered the correct breastfeeding supplies/equipment, and to answer more questions. I was so blessed to have Michelle as my emergency Lactation Consultant! I called for help on a Saturday morning- and she was at my house within a few hours. She walked in with her calm reassuring energy and I instantly felt relieved... and we hadn't even really started the problem solving yet. She was so informative and gentle with me, as a first time mom. Baby was only 5 days old, so naturally, I was nervous, uncomfortable and just learning the ropes of bf'ing. She made it clear that she wasn't on a time schedule and she would be with me as long as I needed; it was just what i needed! By the time she left, 2.5 hours later- I was a whole new woman with a renewed hope about bf'ing. What was even more impressive- Michelle drove to Pleasanton from Elk Grove! I had no clue where she was coming from... and once I found out (after she arrived) I felt so badly for making her do the drive, however she said she was happy to do it- and services a very large area for her clients. I felt like I hit the LC Lotto with Michelle!!! It was clear to me that she is passionate about what she does. She is very well educated, certified and experienced. We've stayed in touch via text and she is always prompt to respond to my questions, fears and concerns. I appreciated her thoroughness, responsiveness and loving approach. I HIGHLY recommend her! read more

Michelle was recommended to me from la leche league after my two weeks old wouldn't latch and I was giving up hope because my nipples were raw and I was in constant pain from trying to get her to latch properly with and without a shield. At the time I didn't realize that my daughter was lip and tongue-tied and that's why I was in pain. I just wasn't enjoying this journey, I was extremely exhausted and on top of that, I wasn't producing enough milk so I had to supplement with formula and of course, use a bottle. I met Michelle on a Saturday and she was very sweet, understanding and knowledgeable. After her watching my daughter feed and then doing an exam on my daughter's mouth she had found that she was tongue and lip tied and had recommended a doctor who could fix this. Mind you, my daughter's pediatrician had seen her prior to me meeting Michelle and had said she was just fine after I had asked her to check. I met with the doctor she had recommended and my daughter had her lip and tongue tie corrected the day of her appointment. We are taking it one day at a time but my baby girls mouth is much better now that she doesn't have those issues holding her back. What I love most about Michelle is that there was never any pressure for me to have to continue to breastfeed, it was my choice. She was and still is there for me every step of the way that a new mother needs. I would highly recommend Michelle to any mother that is in need of expert help with breastfeeding. read more

My grandma recommended me to Michelle because my 1 month old daughter was tongue and lip tied and started to lose weight. Michelle came over a couple of days after we had my daughter's ties revised and she was very helpful and informative on what was going on. She also taught me how to better latch my daughter which helped me in the long run because my nipples were always very sore from my daughter's poor latch. Let me just start off by saying Michelle is amazing and I am so grateful I have been able to work with her. A little back story, my Lo was failure to thrive and has been struggling to gain weight. She lost 14% in the hospital which meant we had a little longer stay than normal. We were able to bring her weight up a bit to the 11% mark before being released but then her weight seemed to just plateau. My daughter gained no weight, not even an oz in 3 1/2 weeks. I saw three different LC's during this time and 2 LC's while in the hospital. Not one could figure out why my daughter wasn't gaining weight. They all said the latch seemed good, positioning was correct, she was taking 3oz according the before/after weights. Michelle was quickly able to spot my daughters posterior tongue and lip tie. I cannot believe that many people missed it. Michelle was thorough and knowledgeable. Once I researched the ties online, I discovered she was the only one to use the proper positioning when looking for the ties. I would highly recommended her for anyone that thinks there is the slightest chance of a tongue or lip tie. read more

Oh my goodness where to begin! My sons pediatrician with UC Davis recommended Michelle and I remember at first I was feeling like "why would I reach out I've been through this before and breastfed my daughter fine" however, a few weeks later I decided, "what's the harm" and reached out to Michelle anyways. I AM SO GLAD I DID. That was in June of 2019 and even today (several months later) I still feel so comfortable and confident in reaching out to her for any help or questions I have and she has always taken the time to get back to me and offer me guidance. If it wasn't for her I know my son and I would not of made it to this far with exclusively breastfeeding. My goal is to breast feed till he's 1 and with Michelle on our side I feel confident that we will make it! First of all Michelle is kind, compassionate and calm. Important qualities when you are a tired and stressed out mama. My daughter and I struggled with breastfeeding for nearly 4 months before finding Michelle. She's what I like to call a fairy breastfeeding godmother. Turns out my daughter was tongue and lip tied, even after others had told us "everything looks fine". She was my main support for months after and throughout the revision process. She helped me find an amazing provider to do the procedure. She would always drop everything to answer my questions. I thought about giving up so many times. Proud to say I'm still breastfeeding at almost 10 months, with no end in sight. Thank you Michelle! read more

Michelle is a god send!! I instantly felt the stress and fear slowly lift from me the first time i messaged her. She set up an appointment for that same day and came to my house with such love and support. She listened to my fears and concerns while i cried tears of frustration. She knows what its like to be a mother who blames themselves for everything thats going on with their child. She instantly recognized my sons strange tongue tie and even some muscle tension caused by it. Mind you my son had his tongue tied clipped by his pediatrician a couple weeks prior to this, and we had no idea there still was some serious issues remaining. My poor son has been pretty much trying to swallow without a tongue ( thats hard!!!). She has given me great resources as far as doctors go to help correct my sons tongue tie. I cant give this woman enough praise. Ive only met with her once in person so far, but she's been a quick responder to emails, and messages, and answers every question i have with love and knowledge. She knows what my goals are, and gives me hope that we can meet them. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this woman. I was in tears after a breastfeeding session with my 13-day old. My left nipple had searing, burning pain that shot into the lower part of my areola and breast. This pain was present while I nursed and even worse after my baby released from the breast. I told my husband the pain was worse than my UNMEDICATED vaginal delivery 13 days prior and that if it was going to be like this, I don't know what I was going to do. I did not want to resort to formula. I reached out to Michelle and she responded promptly. I was able to see her the same day. What a difference! Four hours earlier, I was in pain, dismayed and crying, wondering if my beautiful daughter would have to go to formula. After an 1.5 hours with Michelle, I was smiling and my latching pain was gone. She observed my technique on both breasts. With her observation and subsequent corrections and tips, I had no pain from latching on that left breast. I was stunned, as I was anticipating a toe-curling experience. Michelle's disposition is warm, friendly, and reassuring. I can't even begin to explain how much Michelle helped and saved me. My newborn was only 6 days old and we were in dire need of a lactation consultant. I was never actually taught how to breast feed my baby, I was shown maybe a couple times in the hospital after I had her. I frantically called Michelle for help. As I started talking to her, I started crying out of frustration since I couldn't feed my baby. She calmly told me that it's okay and she will call me back in 10 minutes so she can move her schedule around so that I can be seen right away. I called her at 9:00am and she was at my house before 11:00am. She spent so much time and effort with my daughter and I, making sure I feel comfortable with latching, checking out my daughter, waiting until I could get her to latch on by myself, she looked at my pump for me and showed me how to use it, she stayed at my house for over two hours helping me, giving me information and the confidence I needed. I never felt rushed which was very important to me. She gave me so much help and information. Even before Michelle left my house, she left some of her cards and explained that I can call, text, or email her if I ever need anything, which is a very big deal since most people just do their job and go home, but Michelle really does care about her clients and their babies. I don't know where I would be without her. The weight that has lifted off of my shoulders is unimaginable. I even got a follow up email with so much information that was personalized for myself and my daughter for what we needed and what will work for us in our situation. Thank you so much Michelle! You saved us! Little Riley is now latching perfectly and eating great! read more

I contacted Michelle when I was ready to give up breastfeeding for good. My son was almost 5 weeks old and we had been struggling with breastfeeding from the beginning. I was sore and hundreds of dollars in with buying breastfeeding materials; clothes, the brest friend, other lactation consultants who were of little help, multiple doctors appointments, etc. I thought about giving up and just giving him the bottle after a terrible doctors appointment; he was slow to gain and the pediatrician essentially told me breastfeeding is not for everyone its better that he is fed, I most likely have a low supply and she was going to give him a bottle so I could pump when I got home to check it. During the appointment I observed her giving him a bottle and she commented on how he did not have a good suck and it took him over 30 minutes to finish even an ounce. She chalked it up to he preferred me and would have to get used to it. This Momma was not having it! I had a hunch he had a lip and tongue tie and after lots of research on the subject I was determined to be an advocate for my son. A fellow group member of the California lip and tongue tie facebook group recommended Michelle and I called her immediately. I left a message and she called me back within minutes. I explained to her the situation and she talked with me so calmly and assured me my gut feeling was probably right. I asked her for her soonest appointment and she found someone to watch her kids that evening to come an assess my son. She even arrived early! After looking into my sons mouth and assessing his nursing she assured me I was correct and my son had both a lip and tongue restriction. She gave me referrals to different dentists that could do the revision. We got the revision done that Monday between that Friday I met with her and Sunday I think I sent her at least 5 emails and she responded promptly. She then went on vacation however still made herself available to me and responded daily to my texts and emails. She is a wonderful woman and I could not have been successful in breastfeeding without her. I recommend her to everyone and anyone that needs assistance and support in breastfeeding! read more

I met Michelle at a LLL meeting in March when I was nine months pregnant. The topic of the meeting was Avoiding and Overcoming Difficulties. Being a FTM, this meeting made me very worried about possible issues that I may run into once I had my baby. Michelle saw the worry in my face and came over and chatted with me afterwards. She gave me her contact info before I left, and I am so glad she did! Fast forward to this week. My four day old baby was not making enough output and her weight was dropping. I hadn't gotten my milk and I couldn't stand the thought of my baby not having what she needed, so we decided to supplement with an ounce of formula in a syringe and that's when I emailed her for help. Michelle came to the rescue and took her time teaching me how to feed my baby and take care of my food supply. My milk came in full blast between the early morning email and the evening appointment. I was so engorged that my baby couldn't latch without doing something first. She gave me the tools I needed to effectively nourish my baby and guess who won't be needing to supplement with formula any time soon! We just got back from the pediatrician's office and my daughter is down 4.5% birth weight compared to Monday's 8% drop! She is also having plenty of dirty diapers so I know she is getting all she needs =) I am so grateful she came as quickly as she did because I probably would have given up and just stuck with formula thinking that my body wasn't able to produce what my baby needed. If you, or any mom you know, could use some help, I recommend Michelle 100%. Thank you so very much for your help and support, Michelle! read more

If you've been so lucky as to hear of Michelle's name in any place, format, reference hire her! Not only is Michelle extremely knowledgeable and thorough, she is passionate and compassionate. Michelle absolutely saved my breastfeeding journey. At 3 days postpartum I felt there was something wrong and I was just a new mama mess. Michelle felt my distress and made quick time to come help us. She showed up with immediate kindness. She conducted a thorough evaluation, checking baby's weight, our latch and feeding, baby's mouth and mobility etc. She found our little love had a tongue tie. She spent the time to make sure we felt okay before she left, answering all questions and giving sweet reassurance. She followed up immediately with a plan for us, tons of information and support. Michelle also included the very best references for tie release and infant body work. Everyone she recommends is just as top tier as she is! She cared for us with knowledge that was superior to our healthcare provider and listened to our concerns in ways they would not. All the while that Michelle worked with us she made me and my family feel cared for, empowered and worthy. As a new mom it's easy to feel like you're failing or not good enough. Michelle continued to give emotional support and sensitivity that all moms need. It is completely thanks to this incredible person that we are still breastfeeding, learning to love it and baby is absolutely thriving. This woman will take the very best care of you and you little love during this precious and sensitive time. read more

Michelle saved my sanity and my breastfeeding relationship with my baby. On a recommendation from a friend, I reached out to Michelle via email late one night asking if there was any chance she could provide a second opinion before I went forward with a procedure to fix my daughter's tongue tie. She got back to me right away and came over to our house for a consultation the very next day. She dove right in - asking detailed questions, providing a calming/reassuring energy, weighing our daughter, and assisting with our breastfeeding session. The consultation alone provided me with such clarity and confidence. On top of all that, she provided a very detailed care plan for me and my daughter and drafted letters to pediatricians to help with the GERD and laryngomalacia she suspected. Her recommendations for the tongue tie procedure were spot on and saved our daughter likely a lifetime of difficulty. Since her first visit to our home, she has come by twice more and answered my countless frantic emails and texts about everything from pumping to areola injuries to soothing an overstimulated baby. Michelle is the greatest, most compassionate, most thorough, and truly most wonderful person and IBCLC. I'm so grateful for all she's done for us! Thanks to all of her support and expertise, my daughter and I are finally experiencing peaceful feedings and I'm looking forward to a long, healthy breastfeeding relationship! read more

I was day two out of the hospital, my little one was losing weight and clearly dehydrated and even lost his cry. I was breast feeding 7 hours straight wondering what was wrong, to be honest I was frantic. When the Dr determined he had lost 14oz I knew I needed help and fast. Michelle opened up her schedule that day, worked with my insurance and introduced real scenarios, real issues with my little one and solvable solutions. It was determined he had tongue and lip tie and I had low milk supply. She set me up with a schedule, some credible Dr.'s she had positive feedback from, which kept me and him going and it was readable and doable. I don't think I've ever worked so hard in my life but she made sure she was available via text or email to pick me up when I was falling. Currently my little one has gained almost all of his weight back within a week, he's healthier after the procedure and I'm working with my low supply with solutions she advised. If it wasn't for this truly caring woman I would have been lost. If you have any doubt that your child is getting the nutrients they need, Michelle will do her best to help solve some issues with the family and help you feel in control again. I have 100% trust in this woman and I'm glad she is out there saving sanity one family at a time! read more

Michelle is an angel!! We had left our first doctors appointment wherein they had told us our baby had lost too much weight - turns out their scale was not calibrated correctly (which we never would have known had we not seen Michelle)! We contacted Michelle to come over and check that we were breastfeeding properly and she came to the rescue (agreed to see me the same day) with her own medical grade scale and a care plan to help ensure our baby was gaining weight. She quickly put our minds at ease and even followed up with the doctor to let them know their scale was not calibrated correctly. She was extremely patient and sweet to both me and my husband - answering all of our questions and helping us to get our feet back under us as terrified new parents. She could not have been more lovely :) She came by on her own to check in on our baby shortly after her first visit and made sure to stay available via text whenever I had a question. I am forever grateful to this wonderful woman and would recommend her to anyone. Michelle helped us to navigate the new world of parenting and empowered us to be unafraid and confident in our approach. We love her! read more

My daughter just gave birth a few days ago and it's my first grandchild so definitely obsessed :). So on the third day home she was having a horrific time breastfeeding She was in a lot of pain and was bleeding etc. I called la leche and every group I could find. Easily 15-18 people. Michelle texted me back immediately! The only one that did!! And I am so grateful. She's not in my daughters area so she so kindly gave me someone else but said if that person can't then she would be happy to do a zoom call and help her. The other person didn't respond so we went with the zoom. And thank God we did!! Michelle thinks the problem could be Tongue tie and she was able to give my daughter the best specialists available for a proper diagnosis. If it turns out that's the issue then I feel so lucky to have gotten Michelle!! She's incredibly kind and she knows her stufff!!! She could of just ignored my plea like everyone else. I feel lucky that we know her now!!! Call her, use her, you are lucky to even have her as an option!! THANKYOU Michelle for everything!! Sincerely! read more

I LOVE Michelle! She helped me tremendously when I was feeling really at a loss on how to help my son breastfeed. I had seen other lactation consultant's through Kaiser and not really had luck. Well it turns out my son has oral ties and she helped show me how to work with him on nursing and gave me so much good information. She was able to see me immediately and was very responsive. During the appointment I felt safe, respected, and heard. Before seeing her I had not been able to find help for my sons tongue and lip tie and felt hopeless. She gave me some contacts of specialists who could help me and now I'm on the path to getting my son help. I'm forever grateful to her for her help. Michelle made me feel validated in my struggle. For nine months breastfeeding was SO hard for both my son and I and I thought it was normal. She helped me feel like I was doing great and made me feel seen in my struggle. Like I wasn't just having a harder time than I should be. Thank you so much for your help Michelle, you're amazing at what you do! read more

wanted to say that Michelle has made breastfeeding so much easier than I thought it could be. She is very professional yet very personal At the same time. She came to my home and I was very comfortable with speaking with her freely. She has always been available to me when ever I have any questions or concerns. It helps to have a voice to call on when ever I am in doubt. She is very informative and always gives me more info on the subject than I initially ask for but feel very confident at the end of our discussions. If you are thinking about breastfeeding or are having any related concerns. recommend Michelle for your go to person. I have and will continue to communicate with her regarding my breast feeding issues and I know I can 100% rely on her to give me accurate information in a very timely manner. I always feel very confident as a breast feeding mother knowing I have her as my advocate. read more

Add another 5 stars! I could not have asked for more from a lactation consultant. Michelle strikes a perfect harmony between professionalism and warmth. Communication is stellar; she is prompt, patient, thorough but not verbose. Her care plan is practical, comprehensive, realistic/feasible. She seems very knowledgeable and is skilled at guiding me throughout the whole time that I was under her care. I paid out of pocket, without insurance coverage, and she is well worth every penny! It isn't just "business" with her either; I appreciate how she genuinely seems to be rooting for me and baby to thrive, and she applies every effort on her part to facilitate that. My family is so very thankful for her and her expertise. If I have another baby, I will eagerly ask for Michelle's services right away! If you're reading this review and you're looking for a LC, I highly recommend you meet Michelle! read more

My doula recommended Michelle to me after a few days home from the hospital as I was struggling with latching and damaged nipples. She is so thorough and went out of her way to help me and my son. She immediately corrected how we were latching and came up with an extensive care plan to bring in my milk safely, efficiently, and had the plan send to me right after our appointment! Not only did she help with what I was struggling with but she also provided so much more vital information that is going to help me be the best mom I can be and know what to look out for as well as how to be proactive and utilize support and resources. I HIGHLY recommend this angel to anyone who is struggling with breastfeeding. Remember it is not suppose to hurt and with her, it does not have to! read more

Michelle is amazing! I have a 4 month old who is having trouble nursing for many different reasons and Michelle really educated me about all of my options and the research behind each one so we could move forward making the right decisions. She joked about wishing she could just sprinkle fairy dust on every one to make nursing easier, but I swear that's exactly what she did for us. Within hours my little man is nursing like a champ! It's still a work in progress but at least I know I can reach out to Michelle when I need some more guidance. She also gave us great references to find some specialists (i.e. certified massage therapist, providers who specialize in tethered oral tissue, etc.) She came to our house which made things so much easier. Thank you Michelle! read more

I highly recommend Michelle! I contacted her for breastfeeding and latch difficulties with my first baby. She is so kind, gentle and knowledgeable. She helped us through tongue tie issues, bottle feeding issues, and difficulty maintaining a latch. Breastfeeding, before Michelle's help, was getting stressful and uncomfortable for both my baby and I. We hired Michelle for the 8hr service she provides and that night, my baby slept at least 3 hours between feedings and the following night he slept 4 hours! He was finally Breastfeeding comfortably and getting a full feed every time so he was able to sleep for longer periods. Thank you Michelle for your knowledge, help, and compassion. Wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Michelle. My 15 day old was just seen by her and she found a tongue tie that Kaiser for some reason didn't. I was in such pain and thought that was normal since his latch was ok'd by Kaiser, he was gaining weight, and I don't have cracked nipples / bleeding yet. So glad I got a second opinion. Excited for any relief this will bring to both of us (and also my partner who hates to see me in pain)! I highly recommend her if you're having any issues breastfeeding. She gave some good recommendations on technique and cleared up some misconceptions I had heard from other nurses. Thanks Michelle! read more

We just had our first appointment with Michelle. Our 10 week old babe had been struggling with breastfeeding since day one and has been having issues with the bottle as well. We had been seeing the Kaiser LCs 2x a week till he was 6 weeks with no real help. Today I felt heard. My questions were answered. Not only did she address his needs, but she clarified my questions about my low supply as well. In fact, she said I could reach out to her via email in regards to feeding/lactation till he was 18 (jokingly.) But seriously, the fact I can reach out to her from now on lets me know she truly cares. Highly suggest her! read more

I cannot recommend Michelle enough to anyone struggling with feeding either breast or bottle. I was having some difficulty with latching our sweet girl and Michelle has been a lifesaver. We have been working with a Michelle for about two months and she has gone above and beyond to help when I needed. She never made me feel less of a mom for needing help but actually quite the opposite, very supportive, quickly responsive, and so uplifting. Breastfeeding journey can seem really lonely and hard but Michelle changed that for us. If your doubting reaching out for help, contact Michelle - you won't regret it! read more

We're so grateful to have found Michelle. It sure would have been so helpful to find her sooner. She was so much more helpful than the LC at the hospital and the breastfeeding class we took before birth. Her comprehensive support is sometimes shocking, she really goes to the ends of the earth to help provide any solutions to keep the breastfeeding struggle alive. We have had so many problems and could not have made it this far without Michelle. She's an angel and worth every penny. Every mom deserves the chance to work with Michelle. read more

I highly recommend Michelle as a lactation consultant. She is so calm, patient, knowledgeable, informative and compassionate. I had a lot of trouble breast-feeding my second child due to tongue-tie. He wasn't gaining weight and I really didn't want to use formula. Michelle presented me with several options, and helped me make an informed decision. My son is gaining weight, I'm sleeping better since he doesn't need to nurse as often and we're both happier. I'm so glad that I contacted Michelle, she truly was a lifesaver. read more

Madeline from Welcome Home Doula Services recommended I get in touch with Michelle because I was feeling overwhelmed by the fact that our baby has been having trouble gaining weight. Michelle came out to our home, so we didn't have to take the baby on a road trip. She assessed and weighed him and worked with us on different feeding techniques. . She is very sweet yet straightforward and by the time she left I felt I had a renewed sense of confidence that baby and I will be able to continue on our breastfeeding journey. read more

We contacted Michelle on day three with our newborn. Our baby was aggressively gnawing my nipples due to a shallow latch, which quickly damaged them. Michelle came to our home the next day and was so very helpful. She helped with positioning and the latch; and her care plan included how to heal my nipples (which worked in a matter of days). I recommend contacting Michelle early in your breastfeeding journey. A consultation with her is well worth it to make sure you meet your breastfeeding goals. read more
