I truly appreciate that Dr. Avala took our concerns about our baby's head shape and quickly made a referral for that. The baby well check up was very much informative. We first met the student doctor Amir who was very informative, helpful, and kind. With him we discussed my baby's growth and milestones and then we followed up with Dr. Avala. We also caught our baby up with vaccines and made our next appointment for her 9 month check up.

One of our daughters experienced a very complex medical issue that landed us in the hospital with multiple admissions. We felt like we were left on our own to navigate this very difficult time. She had chronic respiratory issues and there were times I asked for multiple referrals to further investigate what was wrong with her. It felt like it was an inconvenience to send those instead being open to investigating all options. We often felt shrugged off. In the end, the specialty that diagnosed her problem was the referral that he didn't want to send. One of the times when we were in the PICU with our daughter, he came in and told us we should stop using her home pulse ox on her foot. I truly believe that thing saved her and actually ended up providing helpful information as she was aspirating and would drop into the 70's in her sleep. What a truly inappropriate time to even bring that up to very scared parents. We have since been into the office for an unrelated issue with the NP. There was concern of possible strep. A rapid swab was done as well as throat culture but the culture was never sent. I sent the provider 2 messages to follow up and she never responded. Super frustrating experience.

I recently requested physical forms for my children and was told that since it had been more than three months since their last visit, they would need to see the doctor again for the forms to be completed. I left one form with the receptionist, who made an appointment. When I called to follow up on the form, I was informed that the appointment had been incorrectly scheduled as a follow-up visit rather than a physical exam. As a result, they insisted that my children must be seen by the doctor again. Despite pointing out their error, they refused to take responsibility and continued arguing. This situation feels like a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary visits to bill insurance. It is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Their actions don't account for the inconvenience caused to families--children missing instructional time at school and parents having to take time off work. This lack of consideration is frustrating and deeply disappointing.

My sons have been going to Dr. Hart since they were 3 and 4 and absolutely love her as their…read moredoctor. She is very kind and knowledgeable. The only issue I ever had was with the office and being able to schedule my sons when they are sick since COVID started. I never understood why I was never able to just make an appnt for my sons to be seen when they were sick and having to wait for a call back to be scheduled. There have a been a couple of times I would patiently wait for hours to get that call, and when I did I would be lucky if I could get in the same day. A couple months ago I finally had enough of dealing with that process and had to resort to taking my son to urgent care when he was really sick because I did not want to have to wait for a call back to be scheduled for an appnt, not knowing if my son would be able to be seen in a timely manner. Fast forward to today..... Called Dr. Harts office around 2:00pm and was actually able to schedule an appnt without waiting for a call back!!!! There was no provider available to see my son at the Citrus Heights office but was offered a virtual visit over Zoom with another provider from another clinic (something else that is new as I have never been offered to schedule with another clinic for these urgent concerns). Was able to see the provider by 5:15pm and have my son prescribed Zofran to help him be able to keep food and liquid down. Was also given great homecare advice to keep him from getting dehydrated, and out of the ER. If it wasn't for this amazing change I may have had to take my son to urgent care with an emisis bag to get him the help he needed ASAP, possibly exposing all those people to COVID (yes, he tested positive). THANK YOU Dignity, and Dr. Hart's office for improving the process of scheduling for your patients. I am one happy Mama!

Like what is that?? aren't doctors supposed to see sick patients when they're actually SICK and not when they're a week out from being sick. Like i said, highly recommend her for standard appointments, but I have to change doctors cause I have to be able to have my daughter seen when she is super sick and not avoided and pushed to the side to tell me to go to urgent care. By the way, this is like the 5th/6th time this has happened, never once could they just fit my daughter in to be seen. Ridiculous!!!!

Dr Gould's Staff very helpful and some of them even seen all of my kids grow up. Now my granddaughter get to be a part of the PMA patients and visit Dr Gould. The new location is wonderful and more room I'm glad for PMA. Love the fish tanks !
