Prenatal care: Visits seemed extremely rushed, like she was always in a hurry, but she was never rude. She was definitely nice, and always asked how I was feeling. She justified everything as normal, but agreed to prescribe me some heartburn medication since none of the OTC things were working, and mine was so bad that I couldn't even lay down without intense burning. She was empathetic when I ended up with a PUPPS rash, and gave me suggestions of things I could do to ease the discomfort. Since I had a scheduled c-section, she gave me several dates to choose from, which was nice. Postnatal care: This is where I have issues. The MFM had me on baby asprin since week 20, and I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication, but I was never informed that I needed to stop taking it prior to surgery. That being said, I ended up with pretty bad postpartum hemorrhaging that could have been easily avoided. I will say, I do like that she made my incision super low so it's not visible even with bikini-style underwear. She also put "everything" back well, so my abdomen looks defined at times because of how she placed everything. The nurses are the reason I skipped my 6 month postpartum checkup. I don't remember their names, but one of them was super rude to me when I called about my postpartum hemorrhaging. I even remember one of them being sassy when I would call in for questions while I was pregnant. It's also alarming that I skipped the appt, and no one ever called to check up. As bad as this sounds, I still haven't gotten checked out, but I plan on finding a different OB/Gyn and getting a very overdue postpartum check. Nurses make a huge difference in how the patient feels about a practice, and I have to dock off a star because of their service. read more

My overall experience was just okay. The job was done but this is not what I am looking for as my first time mom experience. My complaints are: 1) Dr. Wong is extremely rushed and does not pay attention to detail (she is not rude though). She does not make your visit personal and I am just patient #123. I understand doctors are busy but in that setting I am a customer so I don't care how busy you are. For example, I asked her to check a few things once she walks into the room and she does not remember to check until I remind her again before she walks out. She does not take her time to chat with you and see how you truly are doing (I especially value this because I am a first time mom and I am anxious and nervous about everything.) 2) Office staffs are not friendly but they seem to improve a bit after I sent a complaint to the main office. They are not patient in answering your questions and of course I had to deal with them on wrong billings. 3) Although I have never met Dr. Wong's nurse Rebecca, I already dislike her due to her phone etiquette. She makes you sound dumb and has attitude when talking to you. In summary, if you are looking for a passionate and personal OB/GYN, unfortunately I would not recommend Dr. Wong even though she receives good rating from the majority reviews. read more

Dr. Wong has great bed side manner. I was very pleased with every encounter. There was one instance when she was asking if I wanted to claim long term disability and asked if that was why I was expressing certain symptoms. But my symptoms were in fact very real. She was supposed to deliver my 3rd child but ended up going out of town for spring break. I had my child delivered by Dr. Maredia and was not impressed. Her judgment call was not there. I ended up waiting on her to arrive to the hospital to deliver. I saw her in the office that day for my appointment, mentioned my night time cramps that I slept through so she checked my cervix. I was 3 cm dilated and she said I could deliver at any time. I kept having pressure at the time I left the office, they were coming regularly (mind you, my previous pregnancies were induced so I didn't know what normal contractions felt like). I started timing these and called her and was told just to go get checked. I arrived at the hospital at 10 PM and was hooked up and checked. I was having contractions and 4 cm dilated. The nurse informed the Dr. Maredia and her response was "you may be feeling the 3 cm that I felt in the office, recheck her in 2 hrs." The nurse came and told me that but admitted me into the room anyways because she knew I was in active labor. I needed antibiotics to be started at this point but the doctor has to order these and she wanted to wait. Before the 2 hr check, my contractions were strong and close together, I knew this baby was coming soon. I called the nurse in and she said she would check in 15 min. My water broke after 2 mins of her saying that. They quickly tried to start an IV and start the antibiotics. Called the doctor and told her I had no epidural and was feeling pressure. So I was waiting on her to arrive to deliver my baby. I gave birth at 1 AM. Had she trusted the nurses who had more years of experience than her, I wouldn't have had this experience. I was very dissatisfied and worried about my baby because of the antibiotics that weren't received but we are glad he was healthy overall. Hopefully this was a lesson learned for this new doctor. This was my 3rd pregnancy, not my first. She could have looked into my background and asked whatever necessary at the office to get to know me better, so she wouldn't be blind sided. In my opinion, doctor Michelle Wong is an overall doctor. She doesn't pay attention to detail. After the blood test result came back, she has her assistant gave it to me without explaining what it meant. Who does that? No doctors of mine have ever done that. They explain the results to the patients. So..what does that mean? Do I need to be concerned or is everything ok? I had to look up word by word to understand it myself. At the end, I couldn't wait and went home. Also, she worked with the Pathology something to run the test; and they messed up my bills. I meant. I'm not impressed with Dr. Michelle Wong at all. She doesn't pay attention. Sometimes the devil is in the detail. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Michelle Wong. read more

I am so glad that I went to see Dr. Wong for my routine well woman exam, and wish I had known about her from the beginning. She is very nice, personable, and answers any questions you have. As a registered nurse, I had a clear idea of what I wanted in my obstetrician when I found out that I was expecting my first child. I selected Dr Wong because I had cared for her patients, and knew that she was a physician that I trusted and wanted for myself. Dr Wong not only provided the highest quality medical care, but genuine compassion. I was fortunate to receive her care for both of my pregnancies. Recently, I delivered my second child with Dr. Wong and I have nothing but great things to say about her practice. First, Every time I called in the people who answered the phone were wonderful in setting up my appointments. I never once had a problem getting in to see the Doctor whenever needed. I was even provided with same day appointments when it was an urgent matter. Even urgent matters that had nothing to do with pregnancy, but something I felt needed to be addressed quickly. Second, Dr Wong has a way of taking fears or concerns and making you feel completely at ease. Even with this being my second child and pregnancy, I still had concerns. I called in one day because I haven't felt the baby move for over 20 hours and I was so scared, I was trying to remain calm but my nerves were getting the best of me. I called in to the office and the secretary staff asked me when I could come in and I said I was only 20 minutes away and I could come in now and they squeezed me in. When Dr. Wong saw me in the hallway she asked if everything was ok and I told her I hadn't felt the baby move and she immediately took me into a room and found the baby's heartbeat so that I wasn't waiting with horrible anxiety. Then once she was finished with her normal patient, she took me to do an Ultrasound and spent over 15 minutes making sure the baby was ok and moving normally. EXCEPTIONAL care when it is needed most is what you can expect from Dr. Wong. When I delivered my baby, the cord was wrapped around her neck and Dr. Wong didn't wait a second to begin explaining that it happens a lot and that they would be making sure everything was ok with the baby. There is nothing more comforting in pregnancy than knowing the person you rely on for making sure that the human you are growing is ok and makes it into the world safe and sound is there for you every step of the way. Third, I only twice had to see her other two associates Dr. Phillips and Dr. Tran who were also just as caring. Dr. Phillips I saw once before I was pregnant and she was very kind and detailed. Dr. Tran saw me in the hospital the day after I delivered my daughter. I had a very easy delivery with no pain post partum and Dr. Tran made a point to inform me that while I feel good, my body was still recovering from giving birth and that I needed to make sure I give my body the rest it needs. It was such valuable information that really helped my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong to anyone. I always tell my friends about my amazing OB/GYN (which you almost never hear!). I even make a 20 mile drive just to see her! read more

Location on 4th floor ran their shift amazingly and on time, when the Dr.would be late due to emergency (baby being born, etc,) they would let you know, which is great having to make baby sitting arrangements for my toddler! This is my first time on the 5th floor since she's recently moved (UT Physicians Women's Center, Suite 520) and so far I've been sitting here for over 30 minutes, and that's that I was 10 minutes early to my appointment. I wasn't informed on any delay and I did confirm my information and signed a few pages which didn't even take me 2 minutes to do. Not looking promising, but we'll see since this is first appointment here, Dr. Wong has been amazing but I've had to find other doctors before because of their staff. I'm giving a 2 star for now until I come in more often, which I will be doing for my prenatal visits. read more

I had my routine well woman exam today with Dr. Wong! I scheduled my appointment at 10 today and arrived at 9:30. I filled out some paperwork and was in the exam room by 10. Dr. Wong came in to see me and made me feel completely comfortable for the exam. She explained what she was doing during the exam which made the exam not as scary as it may seem. I was in and out of the office within an hour. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Wong if you're in search of an OB/GYN. read more

Dr. Wong's office on the 4th floor used to be way more organized even though it was probably just as busy. I had my appointment with her for the first time on the 5th floor and the front desk staff is pretty unorganized. Dr. Wong's attention to the patient remains the same. When you call the new office (UT Physicians), you'll be placed on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes each time. Dr. Wong is a great doctor but I'll definitely have to wait and see if the office conditions get better. read more

My wife hates going to ANY doctor, but Dr. Wong is very personable, warm, and genuine. This is my wife's first pregnancy and you can see that Dr. Wong has an ability to put your mind as ease as I can see from the interactions she has with my wife. I was referred to Dr. Wong by a friend in 2015 after I was discussing about how I had been struggling with infertility for a long time I have been seeing her since then. She helped me regulate my cycles and finally get pregnant after trying for over 8 yrs. We welcomed our first baby girl in 2017 and we are currently expecting our baby boy in February 2019. She has the upmost concern for her patients and never rushes. When my husband or mother go with me to appointments and have a million questions (more than me), she doesn't frown or make a face. She gladly addresses their concerns (again with a smile). The best bedside manner I have ever experienced. She is very sweet and always has a smile that leaves you with a positive attitude. Dr. Wong delivered my 3rd baby in October 2009 while she was stationed in Northern Virginia. She also provided all my pre- and postnatal care. She is an ideal OB - warm, compassionate, pragmatic, passionate about her job, and extremely knowledgeable. (Not to mention a mother herself - so she knows where you're coming from!) She went to great lengths to address my questions and concerns throughout the pregnancy and was very supportive of my desire to have a natural childbirth with minimal intervention. When my son decided to make a swift entry into the world, my husband and I were both so impressed by her ability to be calming and encouraging toward me while also quickly directing the rest of the delivery room staff. Dr. Michelle Wong is an incredible ob/gyn. Not only knowledgeable in her field of work but also in how to handle hormonal, nervous, and scared patients at the bedside. Throughout the pregnancy she was great at keeping me informed on my progress and what to expect next but the real magic came in the labor and delivery room. This is where Dr. Wong shines. She visited me 3 times through out the day to check on my progress. Once before her office open, once again when her office closed, and then again at 11 pm at night when I was ready to push. Throughout all of her visits she made me feel like I was in control of the decision making process which was incredibly important to me. What amazed me the most was what a great cheerleader she was. I was blown away by how much her encouragement helped me get my precious daughter here. I could hear her over my husband, my sister, and all the nurses in the room and it was her coaching that got me through the hardest part of labor. If that was not enough she was up at the hospital at 7 am the next morning checking on me. Now being a nurse in a hospital I can say that finding a caring, compassionate, and competent doctor can be tricky at times but without a doubt I found that with Dr. Michelle Wong. read more
