I won't drop the others of whom I dealt with, but some of them didn't call me back for days, others weeks. Not Barry, he always responded to my call or texts within 24 hrs. He also was the most reasonably priced, and he wasn't condescending when talking to me about my home improvement. Being a women, men often feel they need to 'man'splain things to me so I 'understand' what is going to be done. God, how I hate that. Barry was very professional, and only explained further, when I asked. I really appreciate that in a contractor. His team finished my house in a day, gutters, gutter guards, fixed vinyl corners on my garage, replaced the facing on the front of my house (since the last jack hole didn't remove the shutters, and just cut around them), and changed the front vinyl section to a more decorative shaker shingle. They did such a good job and I want to write a good review, but I don't know enough English." Haha. As mentioned above, my mom doesn't know English well, but she still had an easy, hassle-free experience with ABG to get new siding, window trim, and shutters added to our 35 year old house. Even at the very beginning, they were flexible and worked with my mom. They didn't force her replace the gutters and railings like the other companies. She was incredibly pleased with the end results. I've uploaded pictures. They started on the house on August 11th and finished on August 13th. They basically worked from 7:30am-4:30pm. There were 2 people for the first 2 days, and 3 people on the last day to finish everything up. My mom repeatedly says that the the craftsmanship is excellent. When they worked on the window trim they recaulked the windows to make sure everything was sealed properly. All the siding parts lined up perfectly and the corners were perpendicular and aligned. And at the end of each day they were really good about cleaning up after themselves and making sure there were no metal parts that was in the driveway. All in all, if you want high quality work on your house, don't look anywhere else. Go with ABG North Construction. As they say, Mom knows best.

(What a scam - and it's proof that on big items it definitely pays to get more than one quote.) We were impressed by the way they kept the clean-up constantly going from taking off the old shingles until the job was completed. They took great care with our substantial landscaping too. The team showed up when promised and finished the re-roofing quickly within a few days. The owner was wonderful to deal with, and we were very happy with the job they did. Their fee was $250 to come out which I had accepted. Now the appointment is where my 2 stars come from. The kid they sent out didn't know squat about my fireplace (and well neither did I since I had just moved into the house). After him taking apart the log set going in my attic and my basement and fooling around a bit, he told me it would cost me thousands of dollars because of XYZ- including basement ceiling and walls being ripped out. Also said I needed a new log set and nothing was to code (My house was built in 98) Well come to find out after I reached someone else for a second opinion my remote setting needed to be turned off (because I was never given a remote) and then BAM we had fire. It was just a setting that had to be changed and a wire moved basically. Took him all of 15 minutes max and $120 service fee.
