I worked with Eric for one month. The whole time he told me about how all of his employees never did their jobs. Being the motived individual I am, I rolled up my sleeves and jumped at the chance to show him what a committed and driven person could do. What a fool I am! He stopped paying me & not only has he ignored my pleas for reimbursement, ignored all outreach, and can you guess what he says about me? You guessed it- I didn't do my job. I literally paid to work for him; hundreds of dollars in gas. If I took your information for a job, I am sorry for being a part of the scam unknowingly. If I defended his honor, I apologize. His philosophy of "taking clients on a fun journey" as he likes to say, is nothing more than a scary clown rodeo. If you have not given him money, consider yourself lucky. If you have, call the cops & report him- you won't be getting anything back or any work done. He's a thief who preys on hardworking people. He knows what he's doing. If his mouth is moving, he's lying. Legal action is being pursued for this company, as it was for all the other companies he fled after scamming people. Additionally, if you were a raffle winner for the Canterbury Haunted Forest, I provided him with your name immediately. If you have not been contacted, and based on the texts and phone calls I've received, you likely have not, I'd call Canterbury directly. Please do not use this company. We paid them $11,000 and they have disappeared. They completed tuckpointing on our home in the wrong color - see pic. They said it would fade to the correct color in a couple of months. It has been over two months and it has not faded or changed to the correct color. Further, they were supposed to redo our walkway in September. It is November and they do not answer the phone. When they leave us voicemails, it's with excuses. We are hiring a lawyer and have turned them into the Michigan State Attorney Generals Office. read more

We hired this company to do a small cement job. It took a bit to get them out but they finally came out to do the work. They did it in the rain. It wasn't right and they came back to redo it. In less than a year the cement already has cracks in it. Would never hire them again. read more

It's too bad we can't give 0 stars. This is the worst company I've ever subcontracted for. My current customer hired these guys. Took months and months past expected start to START which that was a joke too. The guy that was working was a salesman out on the job to make money because he wasn't making any with sales. So he ended up quitting and warned my customer and me about this guy and his company. I ended up reaching. Out to him and telling him I'd finish the deck " because I'm already working on her house I'll do the deck too" and he said he'd pay me the money owed no problem. Was in contact until I finished and ready for payment and he blew me off a couple of times then stopped responding all together. Do not hire this guy. The worst I have ever dealt with. Do not believe a word they say. If they ever get to your job (when you finally demand your deposit back), they will complete with subpar work and end up leaving behind worse quality than what you can ever imagine...complete waste of money. Eric is deceptive and has the game down. Legal action is difficult based on his fake or ever changing business address. Good luck. The business is not licensed, not that it matters to him. I have learned to ask to see the actual papers when a company claims to be licensed and insured. Trash. Keep googling him, so that you don't ever end up with him again. Like many others on this site, we have been swindled out of a good deal of money. Michigan Outdoor Construction had a booth set up at Arts Beats and Eats in Royal Oak this fall. We were desperate to get an egress window installed for a downstairs bedroom to separate teen girls and couldn't get any other company to quote the job. When we saw this company at the festival we thanked our lucky stars and signed up for a quote. Their price seemed reasonable and since we couldn't get anyone else to even look at the job, we accepted the proposal and paid the deposit. Then we were ghosted. We tried numerous times to schedule the job which was unsuccessful, then we asked for our money back and no response. We are gathering evidence of fraud against this company. I am so sorry to hear about these reviews--wish we had seen them sooner. Eric came out a couple of times, quoted us and promised the job would be done very soon (May 2021). He quoted the job and asked for 50%. I said I would be happy to pay 1/3 which was $7,000. Needless to say after lots of back and forth--we will be there tomorrow, the next day, etc. we never heard back. We called, emailed, texted and left messages. Luckily we put it on my American Express. I called them and they gave us a credit immediately. What a disheartening experience. read more
