I can't say enough good things about the LaCross crew. Jesse is a very friendly and kind guy, and, unlike a previous review, I found Jesse's response time and followup time incredibly fast. If I gave him a call or sent him a message, he would always follow up immediately. He is also very flexible! He took his time and worked with me on ideas and budget, and when I changed my mind about something halfway through the project, he was totally flexible and his crew was there at 8:30 the next morning switching things out for me. The LaCross crew was at my home for a couple of weeks and every single one of them was friendly, respectful, and very hardworking. At the end of every workday, their materials were left neatly organized and our property was totally cleaned up. Having a large landscaping project like this in the middle of the summer could have been disruptive, but these guys worked very hard and quickly, were super responsive and friendly, and made the whole experience an enjoyable and successful one! He treated us as if we were his most important client and really listened to our needs. He gave us a written proposal within 3 days and the work started soon after. Dave's bid was the last of 4 bids I received and the only one ordinary mortals could afford. We're talking he came in at least $10,000 less than all the others. His bid was all the more noteworthy in that everything was itemized from the price of the wood (he supplied the written quote from the mill) down to the price of the stain and sealer. I started plotting and scheming with Dave in late August as the project required military precision because of the necessity of moving out lock, stock and barrel for 4 weeks. Dave was consultative, friendly and straightforward. He did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it. He came in on time and on budget. Absolutely no surprises. I paid for the materials in September knowing that with Covid there were going to be delays. It was a bit of a white knuckler when the movers took all my furniture and I moved into a rental across town and the wood still had NOT been delivered. Dave was on the phone every morning tracking the order which arrived 5 days later. During that time, Dave removed all the carpet and did his prep. I want to underscore that Dave was on the job EVERY single day from 8:30 - 5:30 and on the weekends when time came to stain and seal. He even worked Christmas Eve Day. My neighbors even noted his reliability! Every week I would ask Dave if he wanted some money because I knew he was really working hard and every time he said, "nope, pay me at the end when you're happy." I was dumbfounded because this has not been my experience with other tradespeople who want money up front and then only complete about half the job. My floors turned out better than I imagined possible. They are gorgeous! Dave comes well-qualified having worked at Heritage Floors before going out on his own. He is well-respected and well-liked by others in the trade. I feel so lucky I got him before the word got out about how good he is. If you can get him to work on the floors in your home, jump on it. He's superb. I recommend him without reservation. He deserves every bit of his success.
