Tres Leches Popsicle and Churro Popsicle
Mel P.

This is my third time here. I absolutely love the homemade ice cream. It's always so fresh and you can tell they use simple ingredients. We ordered the Churro, Tres Leche, Strawberry Kiwi and Pistachio Popsicles. We tried both the Churro, and Tres Leche and loved both. The churro has actual pieces of churro in it and they do not skimp. The Tres Leche was so creamy and had cookie pieces blended into it with a big cookie too. Both are a must try! We saved the other 2 for later. My husband and I wanted to also try the Totis Donitas Loco since we've never had anything like it before and a lot of customers seemed like they were enjoying it. Personally it wasn't for us. We also thought it was going to be more nacho like but that's our fault for not asking what was in it. So if you've never had it before it's chips of your choice, pickled chicharron, Japanese peanuts, cucumber, Chamoy, lime, and hot sauce. (I believe that's everything?)

Horchata paleta at outdoor table
Ellen W.

Came for the first time and then returned the next day with more people. Brightly lit, colorful spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive folks behind the counter. Huge selection of paletas (water- and milk-based), as well as plenty of ice creams and sorbets, and savory food, even esquites (corn) and instant ramen. Paletas were fresh-tasting, and frozen nice & cold so they scarcely melted while being enjoyed. The horchata paleta tasted 100% like horchata. Blue Cookie Monster paleta was fun for kids. Arroz con leche paleta was tasty and chunky. Raspberry sorbet was tasty and generously scooped. Hope to be back many more times to try more flavors.

Good homemade ice-cream bars. I had the strawberry mango flavored one. Will come back to try another flavor

Such a fun place! So Many flavors of ice cream, popsicles and treats! I had the Dori-lote which is a bag of Doritos nacho chips with Mexican style corn topping! So yummy!

Their signature Mangonada

Very friendly, clean and well stocked with a million home made ice cream flavors. I had the signature Mangolada, a mango sorbet type treat with a red tart, slightly tangy chamoy sauce. A small is more than ample. Kids said the ice cream was some of the best they have had. Churro round made to order to top your treat.

Strawberries and cream. Hands down the best flavor there. Get a quart and bring home! So good! I love the little frozen bits of strawberry in there. They also have a wide range of popsicles and they're very cute looking as well. I tried the pineapple coconut and it was creamy on top and icy pineapple at the bottom. Good mix and good flavor.

Awesome place with great variety of paletas, ice cream, fruit concoctions and fun cup noodles. The employees are nice and the place is kept clean. Try the strawberry with condensed milk paleta, sooo good!!

I stopped in here to buy some ice pops for our family. We were so happy with all the different options they had. This place was very clean and set up properly for social distancing. The guy behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable about the different flavors. We definitely recommend this place. You will love it

Brownie and Cookie Monster
Nicole H.

This is our new favorite local ice cream shop. TONS of options of flavors and how you want your ice cream served (their churro topping seems to be a hit here). Usually, I've gone the boring route of just in cups, but I've mixed up which flavors I've gotten each time. Our favorites are cookie dough and brownie. The brownie truly feels like you're eating a brownie in liquid form. I've tried Cookie Monster and Nutella too which were great. We did a cookies + cream ice pop one time too but I prefer creamy ice cream.. I had to bite into the ice pop since it was so frozen. Price is reasonable. Parking lot as well. My only "complaint" is I can't remember the name of this place if my life depended on it so it's hard to recommend it to people or look it up. ***MUST get their rewards card. After 5 visits free ice pop, and after 10 visits free LARGE ice cream cup. Sweet deal!!!

While on a corner on a pretty busy street, the location seemed slightly obscure. No parking - just 2 or 3 spots in front of the establishment. We came mid-day on a gloomy Sunday in February...so we didn't have an issue parking right in the front. We were greeted by the friendly associate. There were lots of great-looking gelato flavors which the associate also allowed us to sample first (very kind). She was very patient with us and really seemed to enjoy working there. We're BIG hazelnut enthusiasts, so we each had one scoop of hazelnut flavor and one of the Rocher (hazelnut) flavor. They also had an amazing fig and honey gelato flavors which was absolutely delicious. They offer 4 sizes - kids' size, and then the usual - small, medium and large. The small is 2 generous scoops - and that's what we went with. The overall experience didn't disappoint at all; we thoroughly enjoyed the treat, my hubby had an espresso coffee as well (very good) and we got a kids cup of vanilla for our pup. The prices were also decent and for this type of experience, I will gladly support a small business. I definitely recommend checking out this little gem. Will return once the weather get warmer!

5/5 - Venchi at Roosevelt Field Is a Sweet Slice of Italy You Shouldn't Miss…read more If you're walking through Roosevelt Field Mall and looking for something special--skip the usual food court treats and make your way to Venchi. My wife and I stopped by on a whim, and honestly, it turned into the highlight of our day. This place is more than just a gelato shop--it's a full-on experience for anyone who loves quality chocolate, real Italian gelato, and beautiful presentation. From the moment you walk up to the counter, you're greeted by that incredible aroma of cocoa and roasted hazelnuts. The store is sleek and elegant with golden details and walls stacked high with colorful boxes of chocolate. It immediately sets the tone: this is not your average dessert stop. We both went straight for the gelato, and wow--it was on another level. I ordered the hazelnut (nocciolato) and Cremino, and my wife had pistachio with dark chocolate sorbet. The flavors were unbelievably rich and creamy, made with real, high-quality ingredients you can actually taste. The hazelnut was smooth and nutty with that authentic Italian flavor, while the Cremino had a velvety chocolate-hazelnut swirl that melted in your mouth. The pistachio had just the right balance of sweet and salty, and the dark chocolate sorbet was deep, bold, and not overly sugary--perfect for chocolate lovers. One of the best touches? You get a piece of Venchi's signature chocolate on top of your cone or cup, which feels like a small luxury. We also picked up a small box of their chocolate truffles to go--and we've been slowly savoring them at home. Every bite is rich, indulgent, and tastes like something you'd find in a boutique in Rome or Milan. The staff was friendly, patient, and happy to offer samples (which helped a lot since the flavor list is full of tempting choices). You can tell they actually enjoy working there and take pride in the quality of what they're serving. Yes, it's a bit pricier than your average ice cream shop--but it's totally worth it. You're getting authentic Italian gelato and handcrafted chocolate that's miles ahead of anything else in the mall. If you're shopping at Roosevelt Field and want a sweet break that feels a little elevated, Venchi is a must. It's perfect for date day, a treat with the kids, or even a little solo indulgence. We'll definitely be back--and next time, we're trying the chocolate fountain!

As we're browsing, instead of an employee greeting the customers he would just keep saying "you have to come to this side of the store to order gelato" I did notice a couple of people walk out after that. I was interested in their coffee menu, which had names & illustrations making them look more like dessert coffees - but no description. As I'm standing on the side for gelato orders, I'm once again told where to stand for gelato orders before another employee turns around, sees me and it seemed like was was trying to avoid me. I asked about the coffee drinks and was given just basic descriptions like he couldn't be bothered and was trying to get it over with. Which was unfortunate because that's when I decided to say "thank you have a nice day" and walked out. Their coffee menu was pretty decently priced too. Perhaps I would have ordered a drink along with gelato had the staff been more professional.

If you think you've had great gelato, Caffe Italia will make you question everything you thought…read moreyou knew. The man behind the magic is Mike, the owner -- and he is the real deal. Born in Italy and trained by the best, making gelato isn't his job, it's his calling. You can taste that distinction in every single bite. Mike is constantly developing new recipes, hand-picking fresh fruit at the market, and importing specialty ingredients straight from Italy when he can't find what meets his standards locally. This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. That's not a coincidence. That's excellence. If you're visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor: try the rainbow cookie gelato. You can thank me later. And while many people get it to go, I suggest having it there. The shop is tastefully decorated, it's clean, it's comfortable. For fifteen minutes you'll think you're in Italy. Caffe Italia isn't just the best gelato in the county -- it may very well be the best you'll ever have. Don't walk. Run.
