Warning: Think twice before using Progressive Insurance. My…read moredaughter was involved in a broadside collision seven weeks ago. We immediately filed a claim and provided everything Progressive requested, including the repair shop estimate (approximately $15,000), photos, and all supporting documentation. The customer service has been the worst I've ever experienced. Communication has been almost nonexistent. We constantly had to follow up because no one would contact us. Our original adjuster, Danaya M., essentially disappeared about 2 weeks into the claim. Her supervisor, Maite, told me the damage would be covered under our policy, promised the claim would be escalated, and said he was confident the collision claim would be approved within 24 to 48 hours. Eleven days passed without any update. When I finally reached out again, I was told there had been another supervisor change and that Sarah was now handling the claim. Two days later, after seven weeks of delays, I received a message apologizing for the delay and informing me that my collision claim had been denied because they falsely claim an AZ learners permit is the same as a graduated drivers license. That's completely untrue and I've confirmed the language is inaccurate with the AZ Dept Of Insurance. I pay approximately $900 per month to insure three vehicles with Progressive. After paying premiums like that, I expected the company to investigate the claim promptly, communicate honestly, and honor the coverage I purchased. Instead, I experienced repeated delays, changing claim handlers, poor communication, and ultimately a denial of my collision claim. If you're experiencing similar issues, I encourage you to file a complaint with the Arizona Department of Insurance so your concerns are formally reviewed and the company is required to respond. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Progressive below: http://Difi.az.gov

After paying my insurance premiums for many years to Progressive, I found out my coverage is…read moreworthless. On 2/12/26, Claim# 26-519416008, while driving on I-10, taking my wife to the airport, my vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was hit by a GMC truck insured by Progressive. The driver of the truck ran away. According to the investigating officer, the GMC truck was at fault in this accident. I'm a good driver, no tickets and never had an accident where I was at fault. For almost a month, I have had a nightmare dealing with Progressive to pay for my vehicle repair. On 3/10/26, almost one month after the accident, I received a letter from Hunter Wells in the claim department stating that Progressive could not find a valid coverage for the incident and they will not be able to pay for my claim. I'm a retired auto body I-CAR, ASE-certified technician. I had already started to repair my car. This vehicle has steps, a handle, and a place for a wheelchair. My wife must have this vehicle to take her disabled mother to her doctor appointments. This vehicle is very safe to repair. I replaced the front fender and door with used parts, and they fit perfectly. (see pictures) On 3/14/26, Hunter sent another letter stating the total settlement amount for my vehicle is $7,299.89. There is a catch: Progressive will salvage and keep my vehicle and sell it at the auction for a high premium. My vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was purchased new by my father-in-law. Three years ago he passed away. He made sure this car was in perfect condition the whole time he owned it. I have all the records to prove it. I have put about $5k in upgrades, including a platinum extended warranty for an additional 85,000 miles left. This vehicle has a full warranty, just like owning a new vehicle. Progressive, they know I must have this vehicle, and the only way they will pay me is if they salvage the vehicle and I surrender it to them. I researched Craigslist, Marketplace, and can't find a single similar vehicle, a Ford Explorer IronMan rare edition for sale by owner. Most of the other available vehicles come with a salvage title, are not safe to drive, and cannot be fully insured. It's been 3+ months, and the final decision I will not receive a single penny for the damages caused by a drunk driver insured by Progressive.
