Reached out via email a couple of times with no response. I am a very self aware type person and always courteous and fair so I don't believe I scarred him off but to not even be able to raise a response is disappointing. I encouraged him to roll it over into a Roth IRA. I am so glad I did. When you open a Roth IRA Fidelity immediately puts it into a mutual fund so you are making money. All this time we didn't realize that. Many companies don't do that, so your money just sits there. If you're a pro, you can use their website to invest on your own. You can also invest with help from them. If you are novice like us, you can let them lead you and take care of everything. You can be as involved as you want. Our first appointment was an hour. Bring your budget. They will plug it in and show you where you will be with all options. Your next 30-1hr appt will be getting the wheels turning. They take the initiative annually to reach out to go over you financial portfolio. You can do this by phone, Zoom, or in person. It was funny as this Peoria location used to be a Sweet Tomatoes. We have been very pleased over the years with their services and results.

As we completed our 2018 tax return we found out that the monies invested were put into a Merrill Edge money account. When I spoke with a representative to find out why and if we can move the money to an IRA he said I wouldn't at this time. I contemplated over our conversation and decided to call back and speak to another account representative. I was on hold for over 20 minutes waiting for an agent and was disconnected. Tonight I tried calling back when it wouldn't be so busy and again I was on hold for over 30 minutes. This companies customer service stinks.
