    a three tiered cake

This is what you get for $2000 on your wedding day. Mind you it fell apart in 45 minutes of delivery. No one called to confirm drop off like they were supposed to. I Called to see what happened before I did this review and was told the manager was on vacation and they would call me back, 2 and a half months later and still no response. They sent my card a refund of $100 without speaking with me like that's going to make me happy. Thank you for ruining a crucial part of our wedding and having us stressed out! Very unprofessional to say the least and would not recommend to anyone!

Celebration Cake "Halloween themed baby shower"

These are from my baby shower last year on Halloween, I called them a few days beforehand, VERY LAST MINUTE but they were very helpful and were able to work with me!!!! This was a 4 layered marble cake and it was AMAZING! Everyone loved it!!! First time trying Mickeys out and I will be returning!!!!

Mickey's NEVER disappoints! This absolutely beautifully decorated Veterans Day cake, 1/2 white and 1/2 marble, was the star at our lunch celebration and thank God because our lunch was lack luster! The cake was "finger licking good!" Our cake was made and picked up on Saturday, stored in a plastic bag until Monday, but tasted like it was made same day! You know that's some kinda' good! Many thanks to the bakers and decorators for making our Veterans feel Special on their Special Day and a special thank you to Stephanie who's always willing to go above and beyond!

My mother purchased my 30th birthday cake from here! I was beyond impressed! Once I got there, I looked through the cake books to get an idea of what I wanted. I was undecided about the flavors I wanted ( a nice gentleman allowed me to sample, this was very helpful). Then I conferenced with a nice young lady that drew up my cake creation. The cake was better than I imagined. The cakes we decadent and moist! The cake was created just as I requested. The color gradient/value on the cake was impeccable and the fondant 30 and stars were the perfect finishing touch! I highly recommend them!

    CSX Locomotive birthday cake.

Met with staff two weeks ago to order a custom cake. My great nephew wanted a CSX Locomotive cake. He was very excited about his CSX locomotive birthday cake. We took numerous pictures and video to preserve the memories surrounding his 6th birthday. The first cut was the hardest. Mickey's was great!

I ordered my daughters wedding shower cake, her wedding cake & my birthday cake and they were all outstanding! The lady who delivered and set up the wedding cake was so nice & professional! She did a great job decorating the cake with real flowers and the cake tasted amazing!!! Thank you for making all of our events memorable!!

Picked up my two cakes this morning and they were very dry like they were made a week or two ago. The edible picture on one was very thick and seemed to be just sat there. And when we arrived to pick them up they told us to place them in the freezer because it was starting to bubble.

I've personally worked my way through most of the menu over time, so I was excited for them to try it. It was around 9am so it was still fairly quiet and calm. Believe me it gets busy!! We started with orange juice and a Sunrise Matcha while we looked over the menu and caught up. The service was excellent (always) attentive, friendly, and relaxed, which made it easy to take our time. My companion ordered the B Street Bowl (potatoes, smoked brisket, onions, and peppers) with the queso served on the side and eggs cooked to order(fried hard). I ordered The Chenal which is their seasoned grilled shrimp with bacon, peppers, and tomatoes over cheesy grits. I added an over-medium egg and a side of hollandaise. Both dishes were delicious and incredibly satisfying. The portions were huge, and we each ended up taking a to-go box home for a mini meal later. It's the kind of brunch spot where you can sip your drink, take your time, and leave very full. Tip: If you order the B Street Bowl, getting the queso on the side lets you control the richness. Everything is amazing here. If you're a newbie, you can't go wrong with a Benedict!

Wandered in here about a week ago, based upon the reviews from yelp and why did it NOT disappoint!…read more Super cute little place located about a block off the main drag, it's in a converted house that is decorated tastefully and kept immaculately clean. It was lunchtime, and even though I thought I wanted something sweet like French toast the brisket wrap caught my eye, and I decided to give that a try instead. Meanwhile, the nice lady sitting next to me received her bananas, foster pancakes, and I immediately started kicking myself for not going that route. Her bananas were beautifully caramelized with quite a bit of sauce, topping the pancakes, and it looked heavenly. According to her, it was heavenly. Moments later, my brisket wrap arrived with the tiniest little container of a garlic aïoli, which was clearly homemade. The rap itself was jampacked full of succulent, perfectly cooked beef, but when you put a little bit of that aïoli on there, it really stepped its game up and shined! I left completely stuffed in a very happy camper and you will too. Enjoy!

After not having been there since before covid, I went back yesterday. I noticed the remodel and saw the lack of a case featuring cakes and other sweets. OK - I thought as long as it still tastes the same. I heard an employee tell another customer that the same family still owned it. I got my old favorite -- lemon blueberry tea cake and a cupcake with coconut and caramel topping the icing. My sister who has celiac bought several soups, many pieces of cheesecake, an individual lemon pie, cookies and more. She took a bite of the little pie as soon as we got in the car -- let me tell you it was awful. The lemon did not taste at all lemony. It tasted mostly of chemicals. When I got home, I ate the cupcake and the cupcake itself was dry and barely edible. The frosting was some unknown concoction that tasted of chemicals also. My sister told me this morning that she ate more stuff when she got home and she has been sick all night and still today. I googled Dempsey and it says that Paula Dempsey sold the bakery to Friendly Bakery. They did the remodel and I am assuming the food was also "remodeled." I'm sure it was a "money" thing because that is what big business always does -- look at the bottom line. I am so disappointed. I used to go there for lunch when I worked downtown but I know for sure, I won't be going back. I did not select "service" or "ambiance" as noted above. I didn't find anything wrong with either. It was the chemical taste of the food and the lack of freshness that I am upset about.
