So, I called 1-800 Buick and they hooked me up with North Star who stated they would also call when parts were in. North Star called 2 days later and car was in 3 days after that and repaired. I was told to swing by the day before to talk to Justin, the service foreman, to determine if anything can be done as a stopgap until repairs can be made. Justin came up with a game plan, but he knew he'd be off the when I brought the car in, so he talked to Robert and some other guys who were on that day about the game plan. They agreed that bolting the bumper to the frame would keep it secure and follow inspection requirements. When I showed up to get the work done, Noah was looped into the plan, and the 3 of those guys literally saved my sanity and ability for my daughter and me to get to work while our insurance company now battles with the trucking company. Robert was the guy who made the repair that allowed them to proceed with the inspection. After 11 days of getting ignored and being given the run around by Western Express trucking, I seriously could have hugged all 3 of them and when they lent a hand. My husband and I have always had excellent service from your dealership, but these 3 men went above and beyond yesterday at a time of great need, and I can't thank them enough.

Won't answer calls made by landline, cellphone, their own online chat window or email, all tried on the same weekday during regular open hours. ZERO RESPONSE to a serious safety issue. This is why I left Brewer services years ago, but the new faces and names are using the same policies and toolbox as the old ones. I'm sorry I gave them another chance. If they ever contact me, I'll update with what they were willing to do or make it right. If they can convince me of some integrity I might even delete the review. Edit: they eventually did call back. My wife took the car in to address the safety issues they failed to either own or remedy. Within 1 mile of leaving the service department, my wife driving noticed the hood of the car undulating at 40mph. She pulled over and discovered the hood only secondary latched and not closed all the way. After calling to report this, their rep called u and said "they were never under the hood" so if you you want a picture of what dealing with them will look like, this is it. I'm done with them.

Scott is a brilliant troubleshooter and takes the time to make sure everything is fixed completely the first time. He is transparent, fair, humble, and kind. The reviews about fixing the light bulb and the rubbing sound are very familiar. One day I lost an exhaust holder. He gave me metal coat hangers to rig it until I had time to fix it properly even though he was extraordinarily busy. Scott is a kind man, a man of his word, and the best (and most thorough) mechanic I've ever met. Plus his prices are fair and reasonable.

My new go to mechanic!…read more I had been going to Ventrice Auto for years but unfortunately the owner Rocky passed away and the service hasn't been the same since so I decided to give my local Mr Tire a try. I was not pleased with them either as they recommended work that wasn't needed and their prices where high for the work provided and not to mention, items were stolen out of my car while it was there so I desperately needed a new mechanic! My wife was referred to Kalven by a good family friend. Her car needed a state inspection and some brake work done. We made an appointment and dropped her car off. Kalven promised that her car would be done later that same day as she would need it for work the following day and it was! He showed us the condition of the old rotors and pads compared to the new ones. I was so impressed with his work that I decided to let him work on my car as well. I needed brakes as well and was told by Mr Tire that I needed a new wheel hub as I had a strong vibration when I would brake heavily. Kalven let me know that it was my brake caliper as it was rubbing against my rotor. He said he would try to fix it instead of just putting on a whole new caliper to try to save me some money. When's the last time a mechanic tried to save you some money? He was able to repair it without having to change out the brake caliper! I also had Kalven do some suspension work on my car as well. It now drives even better than the day I bought it! Kalven is a very smart man as he has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He has even given me a discount on work he has done multiple times! He is a honest and ethical mechanic and does not try to up sell you on work that you don't need! It was nice talking to him about his family and life while he finished up my paperwork. If your are in need of a good and honest mechanic I highly recommend him! Kalven and the guys at Pitt Stop will be the only ones working on my and my wife's cars from now on!

They charged me $115 for an oil change. I used to pay $65 in LA where I just moved from. I tried to ask why it was so expensive and he blamed it on high oil prices. I called 3 nearby mechanics who quoted me $50-$80. My guess is they saw my California plates and decided to rip me off. They also said it would take an hour and a half and took 4.5 hours. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

I was just informed that the cost had jumped, that the repair was complete, and that I now needed to pay up. This suggested to me that the original assessment of the damage had not been as thorough as it could have been. While a quote is an estimate, not a certainty, it's not good practice for businesses that run on quotes to let customers pay twice what they were originally expecting. In this situation, for instance, I would have appreciated a discount on the unexpected new part. That might have eaten into their profit margin, but it would have guaranteed that I would become a return customer, whereas now, I am not so sure.

Without appointment, he asked one of his guys to drive my minivan with me sitting next to him. He didn't hear much noise after driving for 5-10 minutes. So I felt much better heading back on the road. They didn't charge me anything for the check/ drive. Greatly appreciate it. Seems like a honest business that have been around for years. I will recommend this place to my daughter if she ever has any car issue while in school. 5 out of 5 stars in my brief experience.
