The big box store where I bought the laptop informed me that I had to supply the battery myself and they were backed up so I was looking at a few weeks for replacement! Frustrated I contacted Certified Laptop Repair and scheduled to bring in the laptop. I met with George and he couldn't have been kinder or more professional! I brought in the laptop and and not only was the battery replaced but George called me back within a few days to come pick up the laptop! It runs like new again! I was shocked at the price and even told George that I had expected to pay much more than he charged! They even disposed of some old electronics that I didn't know what to do with. I've since canceled my Geek Squad membership and Certified Laptop Repair will now be my go to for any issues that should arise with our computers in the future!

I used him a few years ago and he set up for me an excellent desktop two monitor system. This worked well until last week when I ran a program which was supposed to update all my drivers. This really messed my system up. Also I got my daughter's laptop when she upgraded hers. This was not connecting to my printer or my network extender. Thus it was not useful at home as a second computer to use as a portable device. Jerry came over at the time of the appointment. He is highly professional and efficient. He fixed the problems with my slow internet connection, and some problems with my anti virus software. He got my network extender working again. He got the laptop reconfigured and now it rapidly accesses the internet and I can print from this to the printer in my study. In addition, he changed my antivirus programs to ones which are better and free. He cleaned up both systems so they are faster! Knowing how much time and frustration are involved in trying to fix some of these issues myself, I consider his services extremely valuable and his fees very reasonable. I highly recommend him without reservation!

My…read more2-yearold HP laptop would not restart, even after following all the manufacturer's guidance from hotline. Marty at PCFixMe! answered my call, offered to fix later that same day, and when I drove up to CLE, he did troubleshooting and identified issues with motherboard. He corrected it, said it was common issue, and provided tips to prevent it (properly shutting down laptop). He also showed me how to remove back of motherboard and unplug/replug in battery, and provided me with small screwdrivers so I could do it myself if needed. Which I did when similar issues came up the next week. Twice. The solution worked temporarily, but... when my screen went black the following week, I called Marty to discuss. Since I was located an hour away, he kindly offered several options, one of which included helping me purchase a new laptop if motherboard was bad- worst case scenario. When I took the laptop to him, he did trouble shooting, laptop did not reboot, motherboard was bad and we proceeded to shop online for a replacement. He recommended a replacement, and he ordered it then and there. When it arrived a few days later at his shop, he called to tell me he noticed a scuff on the cover and also found that it did not have all he had expected in hardware, and apologized for his mistake. We discussed an alternative Lenovo laptop - also less expensive - and he purchased. When it arrived several days later, I picked it up. Marty was honest with me again and told me my old laptop eventually did reboot! I said I'd keep it as a backup, but I needed a reliable alternative for my new business.
