Is a service center for Toro, but will not honor warranty if item was purchased elsewhere. Would not help unload mower and load mower after saying it just needed an adjustment. I purchased a new mower and have had it serviced it through this business. Everything was fine until I needed a part. I gave them the model number of the mower, so they could order the correct part, and the part I received is incorrect. Guess who is on the hook for over $300 bucks, because they don't take responsibility for the error, Me! They have a policy of not accepting returns on a specialty part, but here's the thing, I called them for the correct part and I received the incorrect one and I'm out of pocket for it. Even their distributor said they would take the part back (including a 20% restock fee), but I was never offered the opportunity from Mid County. I explained how that there could be an issue with the part number supplied by the manufacturer; because I don't think it's Mid County's fault; but there was zero accountability or customer service. Ordered a Stihl trimmer off the Stihl website and paid through the website. Mid-County ordered the wrong trimmer however I needed it at the time and took what they ordered. Somehow the payment on the website did not go through and Mid-County did not get reimbursed for the trimmer purchased on the website. The owner contacted me on a Tuesday via email, and I didn't check my email until Thursday. At which time she had sent a second email accusing me of stopping payment and attempting to defraud them, stating that she would contact law enforcement on Friday if it was not paid. It was incredibly rude, especially after they messed up my order in the first place. I will not be ordering or purchasing anything from them again. read more

I almost always right positive reviews, but thought this might be helpful for others. We used to love Mid County -- we've purchased multiple products from them because we appreciate their knowledge and helpfulness. However, I definitely would NOT recommend them for maintenance and repair. They've had our snowblower since mid-October for a tune-up (it is currently the end of January). They are waiting on parts, but as we told them multiple times over several calls, we'd be happy to take the snowblower back "as is" because it functioned very well for us "as is" all last season. We understand the supply chain issues this last few years, we just want out blower back as it was when we gave it to them . . . but we still don't have it . . . 3 1/2 months later. read more

I took my John Deere we are discharge riding lawn Mower there to have them help put on the mower deck and they did that fine. I took it there again to have the drive belt replaced and they again did that. The trouble came the third time I took it there. After they fix the drive belt I called them and the owner answered and I talk to her. I explained it after they dropped it off I was using it and it just stopped moving but I also explained that I had smelled something burning under the The seat where the drive belt is. All she did was complain about how she doesn't have enough mechanics in the Particular model John Deere is very difficult to work on. She went on to me it's a transmission problem. So I dropped it off to them so they could diagnose what the problem was. About a month later they called me and one other mechanic said my transmission was bad. And he has no experience ever dropping a transmission on that John Deere. So I ended up paying $50 to have them drop it off at my house. Curious about what they said was wrong with it I took it to the local Greenmark, a reputable John Deere service place. When they look at it they told me the drive belt needs to be replaced. So mid county not only didn't want to work on it but the owner flat lied and said it was the transmiission. Bottom line is if you can't work on the mower because it's out of your expertise don't say you can fix it. I will never take a mower or anything there ever again. Poor service and dishonest workers. I took a backpack leaf blower in for repairs. I was told it would take four weeks. After four weeks I was told it would be two more weeks. At seven weeks I was told I was next in line and it would be ready early the next week. At eight and a half weeks I was told they would try to get to it in the next week or two. I took the unit home without the promised repair. I googled the symptoms and had the blower working in 20 minutes. The staff are very happy to take your money for a purchase, but heaven help you if you need a repair. read more
