    Cutting Edge Construction & Remodeling

I would give zero stars if possible. I genuinely don't know…read morewhere to begin with our experience with Cutting Edge Construction and Jairus Scott, but after months of stress, $21K+ spent, endless excuses, and an unfinished home, I feel obligated to share what happened to us so that others can make an informed decision before trusting this company with their property. We hired Cutting Edge for a large remodel project in early January 2026. What we expected was professional communication and quality workmanship. Instead we are having one of the most exhausting and chaotic experiences we have ever been through. From the beginning, deadlines were repeatedly missed. Communication was inconsistent at best and nonexistent at worst. There was always another excuse: vehicle problems, family illness, scheduling issues, flooring delays, etc. While we tried to remain patient and understanding for MONTHS, our project slowly turned into what felt like an afterthought. At multiple points throughout the project, we were assured work would be completed "today," "this weekend," "next week," or "100% by end of day." Those promises came and went over and over again. The workmanship itself was unacceptable. We later discovered: - improperly installed flooring, - floating LVP sticking to the concrete subfloor, - poorly finished baseboards, - exposed nails, - incomplete trim, - plumbing installed incorrectly, - drywall and mudding work so poor that professional painters have to redo it all, - exposed cabinet "repairs" involving literal USED paint sticks, - cabinets AND countertops left unsecured, - and multiple unfinished items throughout the home. Several of these concerns were brought up DURING the project and repeatedly acknowledged by Jairus himself, including the flooring issues and countertop concerns. The most frustrating part of this entire experience was the constant cycle of promises followed by inaction. We had walkthroughs. We had timelines. We had agreements. We had written confirmation of repairs that would be completed. We had repeated assurances that "everything will be finished." And yet we continually found ourselves returning to an incomplete house with nobody there and no communication explaining why. During "warranty" work, our flooring was torn up and left unfinished. Our kitchen countertop was removed and replaced, but left unsecured with plumbing disconnected and the sink on the floor. Entire areas of the house were left in worse condition than before the "warranty repairs" began. Jairus Scott then abandoned the job entirely. He left our home on May 16 and he never returned. He blocked us on social media, forwarded all of our calls to voicemail, and ignored every text. We attempted to handle this professionally for months. We communicated calmly. We gave opportunities to correct issues. We documented concerns thoroughly. We met in person. We sent emails. We made phone calls. We sent certified correspondence. We tried repeatedly to avoid conflict and simply get our home completed properly. His communication eventually deteriorated into defensiveness, hostility, and silence. At this point, we are left financially drained, emotionally exhausted, and scrambling to figure out how to make our home functional and listable after trusting this company to complete work that was advertised as professional. I understand that remodeling projects can have delays and unexpected issues. We were incredibly patient and accommodating throughout this process. What is NOT understandable is the complete lack of accountability, the poor workmanship, the repeated broken promises, and the way this project was ultimately handled. If you are considering hiring Cutting Edge, I strongly encourage you to: - get EVERYTHING in writing, - document every conversation, - verify timelines independently, - inspect every inch of work closely, - and think very carefully before trusting this company with a major renovation project. We would never use this company again, and we absolutely cannot recommend them to anyone else.

We had a very disappointing experience with Logan at All in Renovations and feel it's important to…read moreshare. The first time we hired him, the project took far longer than promised, with constant excuses--including a story about his partner stealing his materials and tools, which led us to give him additional money to help cover those losses. He then brought on a new partner, who quickly abandoned the project as well. After that, Logan gradually stopped showing up altogether, despite being paid more than agreed. At first, we tried to be understanding. He frequently mentioned hospital visits and ongoing health issues, and we genuinely felt concerned for him. Eventually, though, he stopped responding to our calls and messages entirely. Meanwhile, the work he claimed was "nearly complete" was far from finished. We became so worried that something serious had happened that my dad and I even tried to check if he was in the hospital or jail. As it turns out, he was just fine--our manager later saw him shopping at Home Depot. Overall, we feel taken advantage of and misled throughout the entire process. If you're considering hiring him, we strongly recommend looking elsewhere so you don't end up in the same situation.
