I was impressed by the appearance of the office and when they came out to release the people who had gotten allergy shots. However, knowledgeable and simple as my voice hoarseness might have been, it all went too quick for me. I'm not sure if the appt even took five minutes with Dr. Keshat after my 45 minute wait in the lobby. I would have liked to see my nose and throat video more. It was like, whim-wham, okay, you're done. After the appt I was waiting to schedule my follow up appt. and they misplaced my paperwork so that took another 20 minutes or so. So not real thrilled with the hastiness and the misplacement of my papers. read more

On late November, I had an excision of left ear cyst surgery. The surgery took about between 30 to 45 minutes. To my surprise, it went by quickly. The pain was not severed. The quality of care was good. I had a follow up doctor's visit and the Dr. Confirmed that the surgery is gradually healing though it will take couple of weeks. The office experience was also good. I will recommend the doctor! read more

My first appt went well. I was there for Vertigo. We got checked in right away. I had done all the "paperwork" online, thus making check in quicker. We waited about 20 min then was called back to the audiologist for the hearing test. Mary was fantastic. Then we waited for a short time to see Basheer. He was very good at explaining my ear situation and suggested I also see someone for my blood pressure. It has been pretty high over the past week or so. So Basheer set me up for a few tests with his office and encouraged me to see a cardiologist and get some testing done there too. I appreciated his concern for my over all health. I will be going back for future ear concerns. Thank you Basheer, and Kudos to your staff as well. read more

My initial experience was the WORST!!! Id been having crippling vertigo. I was missing about 1 out of 4 weeks of work with violent dizziness and intractable vomiting. I finally got an appt a month later. Had to take a hearing test witha $250 copay. Perfect hearing. Talked to a PA (that's no longer there) and got no answers. F/U in 6 weeks. Went back after 6 weeks (and still missing about every 4th week of work). Was told I had to take ANOTHER hearing test. I said " I just took one last time." And I said go ask if I need to do this again because it's $250 ? They finally said "the PA will decide whether you need one after you're visit. I was asked by Basheer (not my original PA) when I finally went back "how's your tinnitus?" WHAT!?!? I don't have tinnitus!! He asked what my concerns were. VERTIGO!! He said there is nothing in your chart about vertigo and I started to cry. It took me 4 weeks to get into my PCP to get a referral, it took 4 weeks to get an appt here. Misdiagnosed and told to come back in 6 weeks to take ANOTHER $250 HEARING TEST I DIDNT NEED!! and there I was at square one. Basheer finally got me the correct testing, diagnosis and treatment. I still have some vertigo but it's only a quarter of what it was because I know what to do for it. read more

I've been coming here for my weekly allergy shots since Dr Gilroy's retirement, and am very happy most of his RNs moved here, so nearby their old office. I've never had an issue with appointments, and certainly enjoy the friendly, helpful repartee with Dr G's former staff. read more

After filling out the paperwork in person and handing it to the front desk girl they somehow lost it and later in the exam room claimed i never filled out information so it looked like i had no insurance. i had to re fill out paperwork 2 times before they could finally figure out how to not misplace it. the doctor was very rude and in a rush, he was sarcastic and interrupted me every 2nd word i said when explaining my issue. i arrived 20mins early for my appointment and waited 45mins to be taken to a exam room then the doctor gave me 3 mins of time before asking me to leave and claiming i had no issue even though my ear was red, bloody and painful. i was sent to this shithole after going to the ER and them referring me here. there is black/ red blood in my ear and a tick in there. The doctor laughed at me and joked while i was in pain and asking for help. the ego on this guy was nuts. a true third rate hack that could only get into msu. read more

This place is unprofessional, disrespectful, and not worth your time. It may be the ONLY ENT in Lansing and they sure act like it. Literally drive anywhere else, this is your health, not a $3 cheeseburger. I had a referral for an urgent issue in my throat. I had an appointment for over two weeks and the day before they cancel my appointment and offered me an appointment two weeks later. I explained I had an issue and that I needed an appointment sooner, hence the referral from a doctor's office and they said there was nothing they could do to help and their dates were their dates. So let me get this straight, if I wanted to cancel less than 48 hours before an appointment, you get to charge me money but I am just out of luck if you do it to me? I've been to this place before and it was okay, but the appointment came down to the doctors telling me they had no idea what was wrong with me and to just wait it out. There's literally nothing good about this place. I won't be returning. read more

Nice staff but terrible management. I spent a long time entering my information and health background online, and then confirming the basic information when I got a text to do online check in before my appointment. I was assured that I didn't have to come in early and would be ushered right in. I was not. My paperwork disappeared after I checked in and if I hadn't gone to the front desk after waiting 20+ minutes to ask what was taking so long, who knows how long I would have sat there. But wait, there's more! I was called up to give them my insurance cards and they asked questions that I had already answered online, some of them twice. I asked what the problem was and why they needed to enter this stuff again. The answer? The systems weren't compatible. Seriously? In 2020 they can't get their office better organized than that? I was very frustrated and disappointed that they were wasting my time. read more

I do not recommend getting your services rendered here, at all. Essentially from start to finish, I was met with an unprofessional staff from the nurses, front desk staff, and specifically the doctor. The one exception was the audiologist who I definitely feel she took her time, and did an adequate job. I was over charged for my service as they did not bother to run my insurance and check what my actual copay might be. Then when I called to get my money back it took about 2-3 months before the check actually came. The doctor and nurse came in at the same time, doctor spoke with me all of 2 minutes, put words into my mouth about a possible diagnosis moreso than hearing what I was saying and asking questions about my own experience and problem. I've been with and have had good experience with Several offices and Audiologists for well over 40 years in Lansing area for various Hearing-Loss Services. Mich ENT is the most Disappointing...Their Phone check-in is not HH friendly (ironic). I've had fittings that didn't meet specifications...Had to ReOrder. Had my hearing instrument somehow damaged by Staff during their initial inspection out of view of patient. It wasnt a brand they carried, so they couldn't do anything about it. My 3 years with Mich-ENT is done. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. It srated with Dr. Chesney refused to put tubes in my 16 month olds ears after having reoccurring consistent ear infections that would not go away, and he was starting to become antibiotic resistant and needing extremely painful antibiotic injections. He said because he didn't have an ear infection that day which he didn't but there was a lot of fluid in his ear still from a previous ear infection that his pediatrician said at his appointment the day before. I told him the pediatrician was worried about his development because he was behind. Not walking at 16 months because he was so off balance and just in so much pain. He said that his equilibrium being off has never been proven to cause balance issues. I told him im not leaving there without a surgery scheduled. Fastforward to over a month after surgery staff were very rude, especially the nurse who answers medical questions over the phone. My son had tubes placed over a month ago, and his left ear has been persistently bleeding. We tried two different antibiotic ear drops, and nothing has worked. The on call doctor I spoke with wanted him on an oral antibiotic and told me to go to urgent care and the doctor there didn't feel comfortable doing that because his ear was so bad and told me to call his ent after the holiday weekend. When I spoke with the nurse over the phone, I told her what their on call doctor wanted to do, and she said we don't prescribe oral antibiotics for this and gave me another ear drop. When that also didn't work and I told her the bleeding hasn't changed since the drops and he's waking up every morning with blood on his sheets she asked me "do I know how gravity works." I expressed my concerns about possible hearing loss since this has gone on for so long, and she said,"That doesn't happen he'll be fine until his next appointment." My pediatrician said he needed to be seen by ent asap because she didn't wave the camera tool to look in his ear and clean it out. I tried for days to get an emergency appointment for him, and apparently, they were overbooked. Even my pediatricians office called to try and get him seen, and they couldn't get me in. Today, when I finally got in, his doctor wasn't in, and they got me in with an NP from the allergy clinic downstairs. I was grateful he was being seen, but I knew he needed his doctor. He got his hearing test, and of course, he couldn't hear out of the problem ear. We were treated as if we were the biggest inconvenience to them. The NP asked me multiple times what was going on as if none of this was recorded in his chart. Everyone acted like i was being SO dramatic until they took a look in his ear, and then they realized how bad it was. She then prescribed him oral antibiotics and the same antibiotic ear drops he's been taking for almost two weeks now. I told her the oral antibiotics don't work for him, and he needs a certain antibiotic injection because he has become resistant, and that's the only thing that works for his ear infections. She said well we don't do that here I told her I understood my pediatrician, and I could have them done there. She said she's just giving him the oral antibiotics and same ear drops and they probably won't work so schedule an appointment to been seen next week by the doctor because he's the only one who can do anything and make decisions he'll probably need to be sedated and get it cleaned out and a new tube placed. I asked her if, for some reason, this occurs again, what do we do then. She said that's very rare, and if it does, they'll just keep redoing the procedure until the tube stays in. I said, "Absolutely not!" Do not go here unless you want to deal with incompetent staff. Save yourself time and money and go to UofM ent. My baby has been suffering for over a month and nobody cared even with urgent care refusing to treat him because it was so bad and he needed help from his actual ent doctor and his pediatrics office actually calling up there and verbalized their concerns and the emergent need for an appointment which took me 4 days after that to get in. read more

While the procedures were done competently, some of the office staff gave me incorrect information about billing and about insurance. Then, when I questioned it, they were downright rude - and then told me that other audiologists might be more willing to work with me. I think that was a brush off - or maybe it is true. I will find out. I did get another call a few days later, with a pleasant person wondering if I had all I needed. I said I would let them know when I was ready to transfer records somewhere else. read more

I went to see Dr. Carpenter when I was a student at Michigan State University. He performed a surgical procedure to relieve some sinus issues I had, which is the only positive thing I can say about the experience. What his office did to me was shameful and he refused to accept any responsibility for the incompetence of his staff. I carried a student health insurance policy from Michigan State through Aetna and his office had all the information. They made arrangements for my surgery and I signed all the permission slips and was told everything was all set. Being young and inexperienced with health insurance I trusted the staff when they told me the surgery would be covered. After the surgery was done, I discovered my procedure was not covered under the student health plan and I was now in debt of over $10,000.00 between Dr. Carpenter, Sparrow Hospital and the Anesthesiologist! I should not have been told AFTER the surgery that my procedure was not covered! His office screwed up and never verified anything, led me to believe it was, and now my credit has been ruined. They refused to work with me on a payment plan and took me to court. They clearly do NOT care about their patients well being, only their money. Do not go to this Doctor's office!!!!! read more

Mid Michigan Ear Nose and Throat is a monopoly in the greater Lansing area. The doctor's a very good. However, the services rendered are limited! Out of all these doctors, they do not consult on patient's in the ER or hospital inpatients outside of M-F 8-5. That is bothersome. It is representative of money oriented. And I know a lot of doctors who put patient's needs first instead of the green monster. Disheartening. read more

We've been coming here for years. Always on time. Always clean waiting room and exam rooms. A place for kids to play. Friendly staff. Dr. Richardson performed my daughter's ear tube surgery when she was two year olds. He takes the wait and see approach and has never suggested another set of tubes without careful observation over an extended period of time. I highly recommend this doctor and all of his staff. Even the billing department is pleasant to work with. read more

So my whole family have been patients here, and I second other reviews that the physicians we have seen are great. That being said... we've had some real issues with the schedulers. For example, my son had an appt today. We had scheduled this just 10 days ago, with my husband writing the time he was given in the calendar AS he was making the appt. we showed up today and told we could not be seen because we were late. The time they had told us on the phone was 1:50, but the staff told me our appt was at 1. Those times sound nothing alike. My assumption is the scheduler placed us in the wrong spot on the schedule. Conveniently, they are switching systems so also not doing reminder calls currently. This is the second time we have had an appt placed in the wrong time there. Luckily, last time they were still doing reminder calls so we could catch it and change accordingly. Again, docs are great but office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately I can't prove any of the scheduling issues so... we'll just go elsewhere. Just be forewarned if you're looking for an ENT maybe try somewhere with better support staff. read more

My wife is new to this facility. She had made an appointment to see an ENT specialist, because of a problem with vertigo. The time was set at 8;30AM, on a Tuesday, a couple of weeks ago. On Monday, the night before the appointment, AFTER 5 PM; she received 3 SEPERATE auto-messages from Mid Mich ENT. In sequence, these messages told her that the appointment had been moved to: 8:40, THEN a second message with the appointment time at 8:50, then a THIRD reminding her of her appointment at 9:10. Well, as it was after 5PM, and the appointment was originally at 8:30, re-scheduled to 9:10, we accepted the recordings as being valid, there was no way for us to contact an after-hour office, and no apparent need to do so, either. Now, as we all know, "things can happen" with scheduling. You go to the appointment of the last time quoted on an automated system; right? One altered appointment time with one Doctor, right? Wrong! We got to the office at 8:50, in plenty of tie for the 9:10; and were refused any appointment whatsoever. Just in case that's hard for you to understand: we were told we were late for the 8:30(!); we had "missed the hearing test", and therefore "could NOT BE SEEN. Now, it's pretty well a staple of these first-visit situations for the Specialist to send a cover letter to the new patient, yes? You know: bring your drug records, or fast, or don't fast, all kinds of things in prep for that first visit. Not these guys! My wife wanted an appointment for an evaluation on vertigo, Mid Mich ET NEVER sent a cover/introductory/instruction letter; Mid Mich ENT NEVER TOLD HER that PART OF THE EXAM WAS A HEARING TEST! Now, get this twist: they blamed her for missing a part of the exam she was told nothing about, AND they told her: Oh, don't listen to those recorded messages. WHAT??? Don't listen to the messages from the Doctor's Office!!?? Now, most professional offices will "work you in somehow". Happens all the time, right? A Dr.'s late, or the message system was just down ,etc. etc., so if you can wait an hour or so, everything will be caught up,... you've been thru it before (see above "things happen"). Wrong! We had to pitch a bitch at our family doc (the referring phys) to get a new appointment, which we have not been to as yet, an who knows what's going to happen then? Frankly? I expect another run-around. I'm waiting to see if Blue Cross gets a bill from Mid Mich NT for "Missed Appointment(s)". That may be seen as medical fraud. We agree with the Yelper who complained about the office staffing. Complete, abject, truly awful treatment of a patient by, at least by, the outer-office staff. read more

Went there for an appointment got to the sign in desk and was asked for insurance card and ID which I had accidently left home (cannot drive due to cough syncope) but had another state issued picture ID and insurance card on me - but they would not accept that. They were very rude and appeared they were running people thru like cattle. I will never go to that office again. They have no compassion, as they didn't even give us a chance, I cannot drive due to cough syncope. Without even a chance to explain, she went and got a "billing" manager, with less compassion than the first receptionist. This office needs some very serious PR. We as patients are their "bread and butter", we will have no part with this office again. read more

I have been a longtime patient, first with Dr. Richardson, now retired, and more recently with Dr. Goebel. I've found the care I received under both doctors to be excellent--personable, caring, and competent. And I have the same opinion of the audiologists I've seen, both of whom are now retired. I do know, at one time, one of the physicians was totally incompetent and caused much harm, but fortunately he is long gone. I also have found the staff to be personable and competent. However, I do agree with another reviewer's opinion that they are sometime loud and speak loudly about private patient matters. As I've not had an appt. at the clinic for some time, however, this matter may have been handled. If not, it needs to be. Finally, many thanks to everyone at the clinic for the good care! read more

Didn't help my daughter at all. So there is that... But on top of that, she went in for tests and was billed co-pays for both the doctor and the test done in the same visit. So instead of $45.00, she is out $90.00. My insurance company says the fault lies with the doctor because of the way they billed it. But Mid-Michigan ENT pushes the blame back to my insurance co. and says they are just going by what my insurance company sent back. So both deny responsibility. However, Mid-Michigan ENT got the money so I believe it would be on them to rectify the situation. Very disappointing that they won't refund her money when they know it isn't correct. If you DO decided to use them, and have tests done, make sure you know how they are going to bill it. read more

I have been sorely disappointed with this business. I took my 91 year old mother 5 visits to figure out that they were unable to provide her with working hearing aids. In desperation she called her family. It quickly turned they had sold her non-working hearing aids. Instead of immediately ordering replacements they offered a full refund and dropped her as a patient. Anybody who knows what it takes for a 91 year old mobility impaired person to go to 6 appointments will realize what a loss it is to have to start all over with somebody else. So my recommendation. First visit, last visit. Called for followup on sinus infection diagnosed by urgent care MD, however, infection was not clearing up. At this facility, I was required to have a hearing test ($85+$35=$120) before I could even see an MD. The MD then talked most of the appt about his new practice with a new machine for laser surgery to do "facelifts" etc. I was charged for a 45 minute appt., no meds, followup to be a scan, etc. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. read more

The whole appointment was a joke. I had to arrive early and pay a huge amount up front then wait for 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment I was referred for nodules on my thyroid and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. The doctor stuck a tube down my throat and told me acid from my stomach was bothering my larynx. The doctor than gave me a prescription for prilosec. Turns out a have thyroid disease, and my family physician had to figure it out on her own. This practice is nothing but a shill for the pharmaceutical industry. You don't have many choices for ENT practices in Lansing, so I'd recommend traveling to Ann Arbor. read more

While I had a good experience with office 5 years ago when my daughter had her tonsils removed, I can not say that about how my grand-daughter was treated by this office. My grandchild, through no fault of her own, is covered by Medicaid. A referral was made for her to be seen by this office, medical records were sent and insurance was verified. When she arrived they claimed by could not see the insurance on the computer and would not accept a phone verification of coverage. My daughter offered to pay for the appointment out of pocket (and receive reimbursement from insurance--with the truth being told that grandma would have paid for it), it was at that point that a PA finally spoke up and said, "I will just save you some money", we will not do anything for her because she does not have an extensive enough medical history and hasn't had a sleep study done. Well shame on this office, they would have gladly took the governments money for the consult. They only decided to do the right thing when they realized it would have been paid for out of the family's own pocket. Shame, shame, shame. read more
