Otherwise, I could go to Huron Valley hospital and he would logon to the site to see my CAT scan. Scheduled the CAT scan at RMT on Woodward in Royal Oak (from his list) and paid $350 and brought him the CD. The response I got was that he didn't have the software to read the CD. That was another $40 copay visit for him to just tell me that. Then why tell me to go to RMT and bring you the CD? Super frustrating, had to find a new EMT and pay more deductibles. I can look at the CAT scan myself on my PC and there is clearly red arrows all over the place pointing to issues in my sinus cavity, thankfully a new doctor can easily read the CD. It's pretty simple. This guy does not have a DICOM Medical Image Reader, but sends people for CAT scans with instructions to bring him the CD he won't read. Skip the frustration and find a more current doctor.

Pretty sure you are all qualified for McDonald's.

Finally, the inner ear infection was cured, but my hearing was a little below par - fore!!! The doctor told me that hearing aids were like $3,000 or above! Yikes I told him - I can't afford that!! He said well you live in Wayne County right? I said yes. He said you work in Wayne County, right? I said yes. He then said that I was eligible for assistance!!! OMG - I said well, give me the referral! So, I had to go to Michigan Works in Livonia and talk to a man about rehabilitation services and how not being able to hear and understand students affected my job, in which it did. How many ways/times can you say huh, excuse me, what did you say, can you say that again, speak up!!!!!???? I had to prove that I was sick, easy my medical records at my house is inches deep!!!! Ohhhh.... So, next thing I know I am approved! My medical insurance provided $1,000 and they picked up the rest. So, in essence, it cost me $0 - how much better can that get? So, now I have my hearing aids from The Hearing Center of Excellence, thank you very much and did not have to pay a dime! The only thing is the batteries are only good for about two weeks. Luckily The Hearing Center has a club that you can join for $20 and for another $20 you can get a whole box of batteries. So, whenever I run out of batteries I just go up to the Center and give them $20 and they will give me another box!!! Not bad and I think this saved my job!

When I advised him that the procedure hurt, he told me "you're fine, just relax" while continuing with the procedure. I gagged while pushing his hand away, again telling him the procedure hurt. He was very rude and condescending while talking to me; basically advising that I did not know what was going on with my own body because he's the doctor and he knows best. When I advised him that I needed a doctor's note for a few days off of work since my condition was preventing me from working he told me "No, I'm not giving you a doctor's note because there's nothing wrong with you. You're fine." He refused to listen to anything I and constantly talked over me. When did it become okay to speak to a patient in this manner!? He is completely unprofessional when other colleagues are not around to witness his behavior. HE WILL NEVER RECEIVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN.

Check in was very simple and I did not have to wait to get into exam room. A very pleasant assistant took my medical history and asked about pertinent issues related to why I was there. Dr Seel came in a short time later and asked questions and listened to my answers before starting to exam me. He told me what he was going to do before he did it and why he was doing it. After the exam he told me what he found and what he thought the next steps should be. The whole time I felt like I was part of the process instead of being left out or treated like I could not understand what he may have to say. Dr. Seel and his staff were very professional, friendly and helpful in getting me in, getting me examined, and getting related appointments made. I am very happy with this experience and would HIGHLY recommend this doctor for your ENT needs.

Dr. Kaplan actually went through all of that paperwork I had to fill out with me. We had a great discussion about my overall health, what brought me there, and how she might help me. She put me at ease. Only after all that did I have to change and then she conducted the exam. I highly recommend Dr. Kaplan. She is approachable, caring and thorough as is her staff.

I called and went in and was told they needed to do a "peer to peer". Not true. I finally went somewhere else and was approved and scheduled within a week.
