I did try contact Sharon at Customer care several times, she was never there to accept my calls and…read moreshe never returned my calls. When I did finally get to speak to someone, they told me that since I agreed to the 2 boxes, they considered the issue settled. It didn't matter that the 2 boxes they sent me were all damaged and unusable and there are no more available boxes to fix the issue since the floor is discontinued. I'm stuck with replacing the entire 3-year-old floor with a lifetime warranty at my own expense. The people at the New Cumberland store are FANTASTIC and care about their customers, but the people at the company headquarters couldn't possibly care less about customer service!

Used the virtual tool to see what it would look like it our home. Went to store made purchase opened their credit card for a great promotion. That's where the good ends. The installer Dave called to come do the estimate. Did that no problem called back later with an install date of October 4th. Starting around 9:00 AM. I took off work had all furniture moved and at 10:00 AM had to call him to see where he was. I was told," Oh that's today I forgot." I said that isn't acceptable and called the store. Got a call back from Dave saying he will work me in today. He and a worker come over. We had a dura ceramic and Dave said no it did t need to be removed. They started the job and was leaving within 3 hours. My kitchen isn't large but 3 hours it wasn't done. Dave said he would be back by that Friday, again a no show. I called him Monday and he forgot he had told me that. He began telling me his boat had problems. Ok things happen but no call to the customer? He finally comes back to finish up. No transition strips had been put on and no trim work had been done. We also noticed a lump under the floor by the refrigerator. He comes back and puts on a couple of trim pieces and the cove base. Said nothing could be done for the hump under floor. The transition strips he nailed down. He left with the nails coming through the strips and cove molding missing. He is called and comes back again. This time he said he would glue the strips down and remove the nails. The messed up cut on the main strip was an oh well to bad it's fine. So we tried to escalate this to a higher person. From October to today I still have both stops falling off, 1 cove molding never put on , awful cut for the trim and a huge lump that has slit the floor in front of the refrigerator. We have had an adjuster from the company come out before Thanksgiving he told me great things as to how it was going to be fixed and I haven't heard back from him now. If you want this use their installers . If not I'd run as far away from this company as I can. Maybe a company person will see this and realize I have yet to sign off this project because of all this.

I feel it necessary to follow up on my 1 star rating 13 days ago as little has transpired to change…read moremy rating. I was very appreciative of Mike M. (Owner) to reply to my post & I did exactly as he suggested. I responded to the e-mail address he provided copying the General Manager and asking he be provided a copy as well. I outlined the 9 times I contacted Stronghold since April 1,2024 asking for a quote & appointment to repair my floor. I even provided my contact info and my Stronghold identifier SR-CSR-374 so they can locate my service request. Now 12 days later since my last request, still no response. I was really hopeful I would hear from somebody. I guess I was right, business is just too good; they either don't have time or don't care to address repairs. I'm truly disappointed as I've recommended them on numerous occasions, handing out their business cards to several prospective customers.

My issue is he told me that they don't really do apron walls and he discouraged me against them. My apron walls were pretty standard at about 8 incs. So I decided to call a competitor for a quote with the stem wall included and i mentioned to him that i've got a quotes and the company said they wouldn't do them. He assured me that they would do them and asked if the company was stronghold? The competitor said he had two other clients that went with his company because stronghold refused to do the apron walls. Just seems to me that a company that is so well established would offer this service, and want to please the customer. I also think it is worth wild to note that 3 possible clients will go with competitors because Steve doesn't want to do the apron walls, doesn't seem like it worth loosing business over. I also gave Steve a call back to ask about including the apron walls. Part of me wanted to give him a chance before i wrote this review. I asked if i prep them would they do them and he said he would have to add square footage on the job, but again tried to talk me out of it and told me other businesses would do it for me with out any problems. I said i will take my business to another company and he said fine. Sounds to me like he didn't care about my business or the companies reputation. My suggestion is to go with a company that will give you the service that they offer and you want to pay for, and not what STEVE wants.

I hired this company to refinish my hardwood floors. The job should have took about a week…read more Unfortunately, it took several weeks mostly due to the company's own mistakes. This added time caused me to have to get a hotel for a week. I found the owner Max to be unprofessional. The longer the job took to complete the more his professionalism decreased it seemed. A few examples that I find demonstrate his unprofessionalism were his lying and this belief that he could have charged me for the time it took him to fix his mistakes. I also found his threat of suing me and putting a lien on my home very unprofessional, when I had never once said he was not getting final payment. It was never brought up because the final walk through kept getting postponed because of their mistakes. The day I confronted him on him lying was when he ended the job and claimed it was complete and said if he didn't get his final payment he would sue me and put a lien on my house. He was paid the final payment when he came back to my home and fixed my sink (they put brushes with oil poly in my sink, which caused poly to be stuck to my stainless steal sink). The end result of the hardwood floors I would say is average. The sanding and staining for the most part look good with the exception of the stairs and closet. The finish however has hard bumps, hairs, craters, and in some spots the poly appears to separating between the boards. It gives a white line look, which is noticeable since l opted for a dark stain. My closet was poly shaded, because the stain wasn't right. My stairs are much darker than the rest of the floor despite the treads being the same type of wood as the rest of the floor. I also don't care for the oil poly he chose to use (Bona woodline). I wish I would have pushed for duraseal premium (fabulon).
