We had our countertop and backsplash installed by Colonial Marble and Granite from KOP. Countertops were installed with no issues. The backsplash is another story. No spacers were use so there are some spacing issues which are more noticeable because we used a darker grout which accentuates the design. They started on both ends so the corner looks really bad. I think giving them even one star is too much. My wife and I went to the colonial in new Cumberland, PA. We purchased quartz countertops for our kitchen, our island and well as for our drybar. After installation we noticed the drybar had several small holes and chips in it. It took over a month to finally have someone come out for a service call. After inspection of the countertop we were told it was indeed an issue with the manufacturer, and we will receive a call from them. Six weeks later and we have still heard nothing from colonial to rectify situation. I have sent emails, chatted via text with the number provided on the site and they have done absolutely nothing to help me. I am incredibly disappointed as we were sold a faulty, defective product. I went to Home Depot to use this service. I have used this company to install granite countertops at 2 of my homes, both a complete pain in the a$$ for different reasons. First home we picked out granite at Home Depot. Colonial marble did show up as expected for this install. The job itself looked sharp and they cleaned up the mess. The only issue is we picked out a black granite and the color that was installed was a green color. I made mention to the installers and they stated it's my fault because I didn't go to one of there three locations to pick out the color live. They do not guarantee the color to be the same as what is picked out at the hd store. We were just flipping a rental so yes I cared but I wasn't too upset. Now for the second time: This is why you earned a one star review!! This time it's for our personal house, a 1/2 million $ house. Went back to Home Depot again for the install considering it's cheaper than directly using colonial marble. We didn't want the wrong color installed again so we asked about picking the color. There are 3 stores, to pick the color of granite, one in Maryland, Philly and New Jersey'. When speaking with the rep from colonial marble we emphasized the importance of getting the project done on time since we were going to sell this home too (hd gives a date for the install). We went to the store in Maryland since it was the closest to our house. At no time did she state that the speed of the order is determined by where you go to pick the color. The countertop was due to be installed middle of July on a Thursday. I called the Monday of that week and she said yes we will see you Thursday. Wednesday comes around and she calls to say yeah we still don't have the granite but should have it in 2 weeks. Ok so we set a date end of July. Call Monday of that week and was told yes we will be out. Wednesday same thing happens and she calls to move the install again. I asked what's holding up the order? We only get an order of granite from Maryland once a month. So you have to wait for the once a month truck to deliver it. I said why didn't you tell me that? I would have went to another location. I called the local hd store mgr to say hey this isn't right to do to people. I asked can you just use a hd truck and pick it up? He said he can't do that but agrees this isn't right and states he is going to call the lady and talk to her. He assures me in 2 weeks the install will happen. Well 2 weeks goes by and yep, you guessed it same thing! So I contacted my lawyer and corporate hd to complain. Corporate hd assured me that in 1 week the install will happen. I asked my lawyer to send a love letter to colonial marble. A week goes by and yes hd corp took care of the issue. She also stated that if you get another countertop through hd I can request another installer. Well now for the install, yes they did show up. However when the install happened they decided to drive in my yard and dig ruts everywhere. They also decided to cut the granite inside with out using a vacuum or a wet saw and blanketed my whole house in a fine granite dust and didn't clean it. They turned on my vent at the stove to fill the filters full of the dust. They left my front door hang wide open and let my cats out. I couldn't be there during the install as I had taken so many days off with the previous rescheduled days. So if you still want to save some money remember that Home Depot allows you to use other installers. As far as colonial marble goes, I hope this review helps you go out of business! read more

SO DISAPPOINTING!!! WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!! We got our new kitchen counter from Colonial. It started out good. Our rep was very nice. We picked what we wanted and drove over an hour to approve a beautiful slab of granite in their King of Prussia location. The day the installers showed up, the granite for the center island was in 2 pieces instead of 1. At every single point in the ordering process, we said we wanted one solid piece and we intentionally chose a size that our rep said was no problem in one piece. When the company came to our house to measure, the guy made sure they could get a 10 foot slab through the door. We asked our rep if we needed it in writing and she said no we didn't that size would be 1 solid piece no problem. The day of install our rep didn't pick up her phone when we called to ask why it was in 2 pieces. The install team (who were all very nice) called one of their bosses, who got on the phone with us and said they couldn't do anything and if we rejected the countertop, she had no idea what would happen and it would be on us to pay for a replacement. We'd been waiting for our countertop a while, and they even delayed installing and made us wait longer, so we had them put it in because we didn't have the money for another one if they refused to refund us or give us what we actually ordered. In the paperwork the installers brought, part of the fine print said the company gets to decide where seams go. Of course they didn't tell us there would be a seam in the island countertop at any point in time before install. We found out the hard way that this is not the company who does countertops well!! read more

Beware! Do NOT use them. We ordered from Home Depot in OC, MD and they sub out to Colonial Marble and Granite. They very clearly broke the corner off our countertop and glued it back on before delivering and installing our countertop. We have called, emailed and sent pics and they refuse to do anything. In fact, they won't even answer us! We didn't notice it right away because it's our vacation home so we are not there that often. Customer service is terrible and obviously they rip you off! I would give zero stars but they don't give that option. read more

We came across Colonial Marble and Granite when we were searching for our countertops while we renovated our kitchen. We stopped at 3 countertop companies in one weekend with a set price in mind. Colonial was not only personable with outstanding customer service they also have a much more friendly sales environment. I never felt pressured to purchase and they gave us an estimate while we were there. They let you walk through their granite show room and view the slabs which are identified by levels and each level is a different price point and you walk in knowing what level your price point is. The other places did not do this. The time frame for template and delivery was a total of about 2 and a half weeks while other competitors and box stores we were looking at 3-4 weeks. Everything at this location was great and very professional. The selection was pretty good with a few options we had to pick between. The advice and information was very helpful in is making a decision to go with a quartz countertops. The only downfall was the first guy that came out to measure everything was not friendly and made it seem like we were a burden. The other issue is the back side of the counter towards the wall isn't straight looks like while cutting it went to deep in a 6" section. Overall very satisfied with the product. read more

I am beyond happy with my countertops. Ask for Matt in the New Cumberland location. We felt very welcomed and there was no pressure of any kind. Although we didn't have a large budget, I felt like we received the same respect, care, and consideration as people who had a budget 10 times what we did. The installers were professional and meticulous. If I had one complaint, I think the setting up of appointments and notification of those appointments could have been a little better done. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a business. While the salesman and staff in the new Cumberland store were good, it ended there. Everything else is done out of the king of Prussia office and was a nightmare. The guys doing the install did a horrible sloppy job. Counters were not level, the seam in our white counter was yellow, extra cuts made in the backsplash, and areas that did not line up correctly. The customer service people could not have cared less when I called. After having someone come to our house for a 5th time, it was improved but still not to our satisfaction. We were promised a $250 refund. That was over 2.5 months ago and despite numerous emails to the manager, we still don't have our money back. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. read more

Do Not Use Colonial Marble! This has been a nightmare! The only positive was Beth in the sales office. Everything after that was awful. We were lied to on a price for a backsplash which we did not intially order and then over charged in the end. We would have never agreed on the backsplash for the price that was charged. $500 over the price quoted! Still waiting on a refund for being over charged. On top of that we had many issues including a defect in the quartz that they tried to fix but is still there. Sloppy rushed work, damaged cabinets, too many issues to list! Paid top dollar for poor service and they don't seem to care. Go elsewhere!!!! read more

I still cannot believe that they provided me with granite counter tops for less then the cost of a laminate install at the big box stores. Not only that, but they were very friendly, courteous and professional the entire time. It was so nice that they also install in New Jersey, so we could have them do our beach house. Our sales person was extremely helpful in finding the right granite for our beach house. The office people a nice to work with. This issue is, King of Prussia installs does all the work. These people are incompetent idiots that do not care. The installers were told I had the sink at the house so they showed up and started the install. The guy asked where the sink was, I said he was to bring it. Well the sink was still at the shop and they would be back out Monday 8/31/2015 to finish. Received a call Monday morning saying they would not be out due to having the wrong sink. They had over a week to get this right. So now it's going to be five days with no kitchen and it gets better. My wife was cleaning the floor and noticed two nice chunks missing from out hardwood floor from where they dropped the old counter top. So now that needs to be fixed seeing it where everyone walks. What a nice job they did, do yourself a favor and go with someone else. Price isn't everything.... read more
