Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. They did a complete tear off and while replacing the new shingles they discovered the tabs were cut incorrectly. They stopped the job, contacted the supplier and arranged for new materials to be delivered. In order to turn out a quality job they had to tear off the defective shingles and start again with a new batch. Their attention to detail to turn out a quality job was impressive. Several years ago they update my bathroom and installed a new shower. They did a marvelous job in a timely manner. I had them install a shed on my property three years ago. They had to build a base on a slope of a hill, install lattice and then erect the prefab shed. The end product exceeded my expectations. Then I had the remove and replace the same shed after it was destroyed by a tree in July after a big wind storm. I also had them do some smaller jobs. What a JOKE this outfit is!! From the very start, they send a guy for an estimate, and I get…read moreoffered 3 options to replace the covering of the walkout porch on my upstairs apartment, and I never get a copy of the estimate. That's just for starters. They don't come, and they don't come and they don't come. I'm calling and calling to see when they're coming and finally, when someone does show up, it's NOT Brincks Exteriors; it's Larry, Moe and Curley Joe from some slipshod roofing company they've sublet my job to; without ever telling me. They took an iron railing down to start (without marking the sequence they had to be put back up), and a separate company had to be brought in to do that job, and finally did that at the end of this whole scenario, about 2 months from the start. The estimate I paid for was supposed to replace all the plywood on the 14' x 18' surface, and they only replaced about 5 or 6 sheets, if that. During the whole comedy routine, they poked a hole through the sheetrock down into my bedroom, which is below this porch. L, M & CJ Roofing offered to fix it, free of charge, but at this point, after all the hassle, I just wanted the job finished and them off my property. They used a very thin rubber roofing product (.002 or something like that) for a surface that is used for porch furniture and foot traffic, when it should've been a thicker, more suitable surface in order to last. These guys are general contractors; they didn't come and do any of the work - had I known how that was going to go, I never would've hired them!! Beware!
